I recently stumbled upon Episode 148, Sept 22 of KRP and I was stunned to see how it reflected the future track, the separation and even the episode yesterday.

Episode 148 was the Mahaepisode, wherein Dev gets to know about Prenup papers and confronts Ishwari about it, runs to Sonakshi and hugs her tight.

Ishwari getting those prenup papers instilled a fear inside Dev for the very first time. That Sonakshi could leave him in the future. That if he broke up with her earlier and now they are one, Sonakshi leaving him alone can be a possibility in the eyes of others. Never for him though.

The fact that his own mother was assessing the strength of their relationship and had reached to an absurd conclusion that their relationship has a possibility of being dissolved, freaked Dev out.

Because before this moment, he never had this thought cross his mind.

First the lawyer said it, he dismissed him by scolding. But when Ishwari did it, it really affected him.

He says it loud and clear that He loves Sonakshi and that she would never ever leave him, that he knows Sonakshi better than anyone else.

It was not only just a statement to Ishwari but to himself.

Like when we fear about something, a fear which has no base, we convince ourselves to grow out of it by repeatedly saying the opposite.

Dev had firm faith in Sonakshi then but his fears were developing.

He immediately runs to her house, Sonakshi joyously comes out to meet a panicked Dev who hugs her tight.

When she tries to say something, he just says "Shut up and mujhe hug karo Ms. Bose"😆

Thats how much he loved her. He just wanted to be with her, her hug was a way of reminding him that she is right beside her. For him.

Sonakshi's presence was like Oxygen for Dev. .

He shares his fears that it seems to him that He is running behind "pani ka satrangi bulbula" which will pop anytime.

His life with Sonakshi was a dream for him, a dream which was too good to be true. When it was indeed coming true, he feared he will open his eyes one day and it will vanish..As if it never existed.

What Sonakshi said ahead was that she knows their life is not a fairytale but A bubble shines only when light is reflected on it.

Dev takes her promise

Of never ever leaving him, No matter what happens.

"Tum mere liye sabse, sari duniya se ladogi, par kabhi mujhse dur nahi jaogi, Promise me!!"

"I promise, Dev! Lekin mai akele nahi ladungi. Tumhe mera sath dena hoga. Tumhe bhi mere sath duniya se ladna hoga"

"I promise you Sonakshi, mai tumhara sath dunga"

I think, this conversation pretty much summed up the cause of the separation and their bitterness for each other after it. Trust me, all promises before and after this one did not hold as much importance for Devakshi as this one. It pinpoints their expectations from each other.

Failing to meet which, they parted ways.

Yesterday's episode just brought it up again. Dev blamed Sonakshi and Sonakshi blamed him.

Dev for leaving him, Sonakshi for not standing up for her. It is not that they don't see or acknowledge their share of mistakes or that Dev is blind towards whatever Ishwari did, actually inspite of knowing...

He doesn't care.

Because what mattered was Sonakshi. Sonakshi staying by his side no matter what. And when she has left, breaking her promise ..it does not actually matter if it was catalysed by his mother or any other evil. It was between him and Sonakshi and his complaints are only for her.

Similarly for Sonakshi, the only problem she had with Dev was he never took a stand for her. Does she not know Vicky and mami were made from which soil? That they had a part in the separation, that Ish had a hand in prenup..I am sure Sonakshi is not dumb to not realize. But she doesn't care about them.

What mattered to her was Dev. Only Dev's support. He promised to fight the world by her side, which he could not.

Sonakshi's heart broke and she left.

Sonakshi and Dev both are deeply hurt and its effects directly reflect on their present. They are so bitter only for each other..only because they had maximum expectations from each other.

Unfortunately, Dev failed to see before Sonakshi gave up, she fought every day with a new turmoil, every day with Ishwari and RR's taunts, every day she tried to balance, to fight the world for him. Only after that, she gave up.

Similarly, Sonakshi failed to see that there were infinite number of times Dev stood up for her (godh bharai, infertility, rhea issue). He did not fight because he was clueless Sona was fighting alone. She only needed to let him know for once, he would have given his all.
