Na I like Asha. She is right in a lot of ways and reminds me of my own mother. Compromise is important in a lot of relationships and she emphasises that to everyone Dev, Sona and Saurabh. Jab pani sar se upar gaya she didn't force her daughter and supported her to be independant. And while her and Bijoy don't always get along, she can stand on her own and not rely on husband to make all the decisions.
She was also very elegant with Ronita's mum. She could have been as vindictive as Ish and insult her family but luckily she is a modern age saad not old school who treats DIL as daughter.
I guess also a moment to reflect Ish had an intolerable saas figure herself and is less crazy than her. And Asha has an amazing saas and is cool as her. I doubt it is intentional but it does stand true. We tend to emulate our bosses and saases in life. But a moment of self reflection can help us break the pattern.
Look, no one here denies that Asha is a great Saas. But her 'greatness at relationship' is only for name's sake when it comes to her own family.
For example, she doesn't let Bejoy or Sona have their say but interferes in every matter.. The double standard is clearly visible. And i can tolerate anything but hypocrisy.
I was one of the people to love Asha to the moon and back before. I liked her lectures on compromise and adjustment too. Like Sona, even she thought that if their is mutual respect and love, you can handle anything. Cuz that's what happened in her marriage. And yes, she did not force her suring their last fight to adjust. i liked that.
But, here she is not acting sensibly. Dev and Sona are no longer together. Dev has done grave mistakes. She knows this, yet she wants everyone to be okay with it. Everything has a limit. Even compromise can only work mutually, and in some cases. If she with her soft, mild manners just once had shown Dev the mirror, or clearly told him Sona's or Bejoy's perspective.. then I would have been okay with her expecting the Same from the rest.
But no, Cvs have changed her into a hypocrite.. or a blind shipper of DevAkshi and supporter of Dev. That's why she is being compared to Ishwari.
