One, because even though jatin has been a good friend and a huge support for her, he remains that. Not a father. Plus Sonakshi never looked at him with the perspective of a future husband or even as Soha's father. .so whatever J does for Soha is in a something which Sona owes to him whereas Sonakshi knows Soha would feel content under her father's shadow. Dev. Whenever a parent does something for the child, does the other partner owe it to them?
I think many many couples must have together tended their baby, does the wife count that okay, 20 years ago my husband did this and that? And I cannot fight with him because of it. It is a part of natural process.
But whenever someone outside the expected circle comes to help you, it is sort of an obligation & though this one is not something which Sonakshi is returning by finances or any other thing, she looks at J respectfully because of it.
So I think comparing Dev and Jatin makes no sense. Because no matter who a 'father figure' is, a father's love is father's love. I am sure Sonakshi did not want to deprive Soha of it.
And I also think Sonakshi overdid the mention of J's role in their life, as if to show Dev what he lost. And how someone else was their anchor.

Though I did not like Jatin packing his bags and acting to move out of the house. Was the drama intentional?😳

Saumiee u have a point, but from Sona's talks it looks like Jotin was like a father figure of Soha. She even mentioned those words to Dev. I agree no one can replace the father, but in this case the child didn't even knew about her father. So for her, Jotin filled that gap.
n i don't think Jotin packing his bags intentional. He understood Dev's problem and decided to move out, which was good. Unless they show him negative suddenly and plotting against Dev, which will be still digestible for me as i am not used to such goody goody characters. 😆

Makers always made sure third angles are super good..Natasha, Ritwick, now Jatin..only our three leads are flawed..

April 06, 2017 - Thursday

I got one question clarified today. It was clear all along that Jotin is Sonakshi's best buddy. She has also said it several times. But, today she explained to Dev why Jotin is 'bohut kuch' to her. She has a lot of obligations from Jotin - even looking after Suhana. It is said that friends should always stay away from obligations - either in the form of money or favours. This always helps in creating 'everlasting friendship'! Just like its always advisable to never loan amount to relatives or best to avoid doing business partnerships with relatives. Because if one is invested in relationships, then monetary obligations should be left behind. Sonakshi is caught in a situation of an obligatory friendship, so if anyday Jotin confesses his love for her or Suhana chooses Jotin over Dev, Sonakshi would be compelled to just follow suit. 😃 Dev had advised Sonakshi once that she can never understand people and what they want. So anyone can make a fool of her. I hope that doesn't come true.

Rest of the episode highlighted Bijoy's indifference and obstinate behaviour. Asha was the saving grace again when she welcomed Elena. I wonder how Bijoy would react if he knew that Asha /Dev tried to salvage a difficult situation and Elena was in attendance at Saurabh's mehendi because she was invited by Sonakshi!!!

One more highlight was that Vicky is looking more handsome than Dev and Jotin. 😳

Till tomorrow.

I know, all the world's flaws are exclusive for the leads and third angles are shown extra sweet.

(On the other hand, Dev already knows what he missed; he doesn't need a realization on that). But, Sona today was seen to be in a deliberately taunting mood, which can't be accepted.

Yes grace! She could have said it in a much better way. Her blunt and pinching words have definitely hurt Dev. What I meant to say was this only, that she emphasised on Jatin's role not to make Dev realise but to taunt/ not let him forget.

Yes, Jatin was a father figure but being a child who has been much aware of the truth, Soha knew her father was not with her and she actually missed her father a lot! Did she even for once say, I have Joti Uncle and i don't need anyone new in my life. She always craved for her father because Jatin is more of a protector and friend for the Bose family.
Hahah, yes😆 Chup chap, he should have left na😆 I know, Jatin is a good guy😳😡

That is because the story is about Dev-Sonakshi and Ishwari, their flaws, their strengths ..rest of the characters aren't given much importance to be flawed. If they are good, they just enter, do their part and go😆 And if evil, they stay just that.

But today I am forced to say my views wrt to Sonakshi. People say Dev has reached his low point...but for me today Sonakshi has reached hers. Until today I was somewhat ok whit her being angry with Dev and even defending Bijoy. But chiding a person for not being there for the birth of his own child and that too when she knows it was not his fault is extremely sadistic. She very well knows how much Dev longed for a child they were in that sorrow together. And now he is trying his best possible to be available for his daughter. Experiencing the birth of your baby and hold that baby for the first time is something that cannot be compared to anything else in this world. And mocking Dev for losing on this is kicking him when he is low.

I don't know about others but the character Sonakshi has definitely fallen in my eyes. Dev may even redeem himself or not but there is no redemption for what she did today.

agree with u dear..@bold even she has fallen in my eyes too..now dont want to see devakshi together bcoz sona never understand dev post marriage or even now never she will..she should settle with jatin and I hope makers will bring a beatutiful and understanding girl for dev

@saumie: After today, my respect for Jatin has increased tenfold, and I already respected him a lot. He picked up on the fact that Dev was hurt by his presence, and gritting his teeth for Soha's sake, and he gave Dev the respect he deserves as Soha's father, Sonakshi not withstanding. A few weeks ago, I made a post about Sona swinging like a pendulum and switching alliances between Dev and her parents; the gist was that when she is on one side, she is really on that side, and either neglects or antagonises the other. In that discussion, I had expressed the fear that if both Bijoy and Dev refused to support her, Sona would take refuge in Jatin's affirmations and he would be more than happy to oblige. Today he proved that fear completely wrong by refusing to be used in her effort to antagonise Dev.

Sona's tendency to deploy the men in her life against each other makes me very uncomfortable. When Bijoy was taking Soha to Kolkata, she threatened him with Dev. When Dev said he couldn't come live in Bose house, she threatened him with Bijoy (Soha going to Kolkata). When Dev showed up, she dismissed Bijoy's concerns, but then Dev interfered in her family's issues with the Mandals, and used lies once again to solve/avoid problems. This triggered some very raw feelings in Sona and she has swung back to Bijoy-land to protect her heart. As a result, she is making Dev feel unwanted faster than you can say paraya, and this time I do believe it was on purpose.

I feel that Jatin made the decision to leave because of this, not because of Dev. He can see that he is becoming a pawn in this convoluted game, and he didn't want to be just another excuse for her to pick a meaningless fight with Dev that addressed none of their true issues or feelings. Dev has illustrated that he has no issues with Soha spending time with Jatin in the abstract; he is just anxious about missing more important moments. Jatin has made it clear that he respects Dev's place as Soha's father and has no intention to compete for that spot. When the two men themselves are showing so much respect for each other, it was sad that Sona's outbursts made them each feel redundant and/or intrusive in Soha's life.

The sad part is Sonakshi doesn't realise how cold she has become.
Asha is the only one who is noticing the changes and is worried about the fast depleting emotions inside her. In truest sense, she has turned to a Ms Aubhodro..for she has forgotten to feel thankful, loved, happy. As if she is programmed to carry a fixed routine, do that and sleep. .and if anybody hinders it, she gets angry.
I really feel bad seeing her like this. Sonakshi now has real trust issues and it will take a lot of time to fix it. She will keep armouring herself with the cold and rude attitude (hurting us and Dev) till then.
