Tia, very nice comparison 👏 And I agree with everyone (Lavanya, serialwatcher, doctor) who wants to hold Dev accountable for his actions. Why not ? Can we imagine Ratan Tata or Narayanmurthi having 'child-like' innocence wrt their family affairs ? I see Dev Dixit as a man who has seen everything in life in his journey from rags to riches. And as his mommy claims, Dev is considered to be one who has lost his childhood very early. In my mind I cannot co-place both the logics that a person who loses his childhood fast and grows up early has to be still compared to having innocence of a child. Losing innocence is all about losing childhood, wasn't it ?

So I see here a grownass man 'deciding' things for himself and his ladylove. And I would judge this adult man based on his decisions and judgments. Fairness and justice is absolute, it's not subjective. Perspectives can differ, however justice doesnt. And I see Dev is always extremely unfair and biased against Sonakshi. I see this man thinking about only 'I, me, myself' which is the exact contradictory behaviour for people in love !! And I dont see his realizing his and his family's share of mistakes anytime soon either. And sorry, after a certain extent we cannot blame parents for our actions.

Today's episode seems horrible 😆 . Sutapa had to write 'humorous to the audience' to point out that it was funny 🤣 What could be funnier than that 😆 ..

Tia the comparison with Caesar is completely apt👏 I find it ironic that this episode aired on the Ides of March.
And after reading everyone's posts one thing is clear. Why should Dev get a free pass?Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.Dev's actions have serious repercussions and he has to face them.He cannot run away from them like a coward.

I do not blame Ishwari entirely for Dev's misfortunes. He is not a child for heaven's sake.He is an adult who had seen the world. He knows the difference between right and wrong. In one of your posts you had mentioned that if the husband stands by his wife then the husband's family are powerless.

Dev,despite knowing everything, chose to overlook the acts of his family. He allowed Vicky into his company and gave him the post of the CEO.This is a post for which many people have to toil regularly. This post was given to a man without any proper qualifications or experience just because he happened to be Dev's cousin. When Vicky tried to swindle Dev and he was exposed even then Dev did not remove him.Instead he had the guts to blame Sonakshi. The snake in today's episode symbolised something.DevIsh had willingly allowed snakes like Vicky and Ex GKB into their house and lives. They had fed them and given them milk despite being aware of their venomous nature.
Today their pet snakes have the guts to strike them back. Therefore blaming Red and Gold is of no use.

Now coming to DevIsh's favourite hobby of blaming Sonakshi everytime,I would compare them to Dhritarashtra and Gandhari.More with Gandhari to be precise.
Dhritarashtra and Gandhari knew that their 100 sons were digging their own grave.Their sons kept on committing heinous crimes and they turned a blind eye to it.Dhritarashtra was naturally blind and Gandhari had blindfolded herself to her sons' faults.
And when all the 100 sons perished Dhritarashtra and Gandhari blamed the Pandavas,Draupadi and Krishna for what happened to them.Even though they knew that their sons deserved what they got they chose to blame others.

Loved your comparison with Julius Caeser.
The only difference between Caeser and Dev is the former got to know his true allies although it resulted in his death.
Dev is an epitome of a great son. Even in his afterlife he would continue to say the same stuff he said in his sanity.

And considering his care for Soha, he should understand that being a father is a lifelong unspoken agreement. Unlike the relationship he had with Sona. First impressed her and grew possessive about her but when it was time for him to stand up to his family for her, he backed off.

And as Gauri said, we're really competing with Kapil's show!
Comedy nights with Dev Dixit aka Indiana Jones.😆
