I mainly post on Tia thread but today I want to post here only because I loved loved and loved today's episode everything
I loved sonakshi as mother and Dev as father and devakshi as lover as from sona side she knows that Dev can't do wrong but can do anything in wrong influence and Dev was hurt by sona word
Now I on!Y want one thing that somehow we get clue that Dev has tried to contact sona or helped her like in recent Ramayana they have shown how ram asked Hanuman to be with sita without sits knowledge and asked him not to even give any information about her to him
Glad you enjoyed the episode on Monday
Thanks DQ for the reply. But it still raises more questions for me. IF Sonakshi did not respect Ishwari and started "managing her in laws", why did she give so much importance to her. Her thoughts contradict her actions here.
Shaavi, I think that is what she was doing. All that importance she gave to Ishwari was because she realised this one person can do a lot of damage to her marriage and her husband's sanity. Dev knew how hostile this environment is and that is why he always wanted Sonakshi to stay out of it. He needed Sonakshi's love after he had dealt with the hostility. While Sonakshi started fighting those battles in an attempt to make things easy for Dev.
Similarly during the fake pregnancy track, Dev reveals to Ishwari that he was aware of her non acceptance of Sonakshi and expresses that he had always wanted her to love Sonakshi maybe even more than him. Which means he was aware of the differences between them. If Sonakshi knows Dev as she claims how did she not know that he knew Ishwari's reluctance towards her.She did. Recall her talk to the baby where she says you are a magic baby and because of you my relationship with your dadi has improved.
There is too much mystery in Dev's behavior. Even today he quietly accepted the clauses of the contract without questioning it in any way so to speak. When he was ready to sign it even without reading it, it was like he said "I trust you", which is different than Ishwari. Sonakshi had said that she had to prove herself even today, where she saw Dev and Ishwari as the same entity. Probably saw them as the same in the contract so held only him as responsible. But didn't Dev kind of prove that he and Ishwari are different. That is Dev Zulfi Dixit for you. Single track mind. I want to take suhana to my house and I will just do whatever it takes. My take on this contract is what Sam wrote too. It will provide Devakshi a structure to co-parent/discuss the next steps and also protect themselves and their daughter from the other antagonistic elements in IN.
Also am having a lot of misgivings regarding this contract. There was a spoiler about Vickky kidnapping Suhana and Sonakshi blaming Dev. At that time this contract might come up again.
Another thing to note in today's episode was Vickky Elena fight. A few days ago, Ishwari made an enemy of GKB and Vickky. Today Vickky made an enemy of Elena.
Looks like the story is moving fast ahead...

1. Dev had come to get Suhana for Sonakshi's house in the evening, when all the courts are already closed. Then Sonakshi calls her lawyer to get her "guarantee" and the lawyer promptly arrives. And this sets me thinking that Sonakshi had already got the paper made and was looking for an opportunity to get them signed by Dev. Dev being impulsive by nature (especially when it comes to emotions) readily provides that opportunity to her and Sona plays her masterstroke.
I must say, she has become one heck of a bussiness-women, turning 'problems' (according to Boses, esp Bijoy) into opportunities. She seems to have transformed from Ms. Khargosh to Ms. Aubhodro.
I think Ishwari's intimidation that day might have put Sonakshi on the alert. Either ways, its a good sign that someone is putting some controls in place
2. Now, why would Sonakshi want Dev to sign any such paper, apart from the her and her family's arising insecurities? Sona's explanation to her mother was quite logical - that she didn't want Soha to face what she faced 7 years ago. But I am not convinced that was her real motivation.
I feel Sonakshi was looking for an opportunity to hurt Dev the way he hurt her, to inflict the same wounds on him (sirf Mai tumhe hurt kar sakta/sakti hu *fangirling*), not to really hurt and break him but to feel her pain, somewhere subconsciously.
True, there are lots of parallels between prenup agreement and subsequent separation and yesterday's contract scenes.
Sonakshi had lost her house to Ishwari Enterprises. She contacted Dev in the farmhouse only to be handed the prenup agreement. Dev told her it is good she can't be a mother, otherwise she would have never been a good mother. These wounds are still fresh in her mind. And that is what she put Dev through yesterday.
She said he is only a biological father, she doesn't know whether he could become good father in real sense. She makes him sign a contract that makes him lose his everything, legally - his daughter Suhana - whom he thinks the most important lady of his life (not second most, he said this to Golu). The contract like the prenup agreement fanned the fire of mutual distrust between them. Dev felt almost exactly how Sonakshi felt on seeing Dev's signature on prenup papers.
I don't know if it was only me, but I saw Sonakshi well-up momentarily when Dev proceeded to sign even without reading it and how Dev looked at Sonakshi when he read its contents. Both must have been reminded of the fateful night and another legal paper's role in their separation, the prenup.
Again, its a good move. Dev has always been the trusting the others types. Sonakshi told her mother she has been through what his family is capable of. She is trying to avoid a repeat.
3. Dev called Bijoy Baba and not Mr. Bose, and it seemed involuntary slip. This gives a window into how Dev still had been subconsciously connected to Sona all this while, which explains his jealousy towards Jatin, humari beti etc. (Misti pointed this out too) BTW, Sona too said humari beti yesterday, only to contradict her words the next moment with the contract.
Will post more if anything strikes my mind. Thanks for reading.
Thanku Shaavi Dq n others for the brilliant writeups...i was fuelled off yest n with a clear mind watched the episode again, went thru the analysis here...im much more calmer n Boy it did help me to see in much more positive outlook..
For me i feel Dev's journey to a GOOD FATHER has already started n wat better proof is that he had signed the contract giving away his hold, his rights n Authority on his kid...n Secondly owning to the mistake which he wasnt aware of n taking the sole responsibilty speaks about the hurdles that he would HAPPILY cross to ensure the safety n security for Suhana, even if he has to withhold his love or stay away from her...!
Glad you liked them. Sona's words are caustic. Her intentions aren't. This contract has potential to backfire on Dev. Because he did not consult a lawyer before signing and also because Ishwari doesn't know about this. She isn't going to be pleased about him relinquishing his rights. Lets wait and watch
