Soha shud not call Dev Mr Dixit. She should call him Uncle, like how he called Asha.

Lovely post. Sensible and refreshing. But I came across the post just now. It is a delight to see few people like you genuinely feel for Dev. You are absolutely correct. Dev doesn't need to prove his worth. At any time he will be a good father to Suhana. There is no need for him to be like Bijoy Bose. If Bijoy Bose is the epitome of perfection for Suhana,Dev should take your option. He should marry Natasha and have kids and lead a peaceful life.Let those self proclaimed perfectionists ,the Boses live in their own world . Stay away from them Dev,You deserve peace and happiness. Suhana should realise how good her father is and get back to you.
Great Advice Dhank. I support you hundred percent.

Completely agree especially on Bijoy bose part. Frim no angle he is perfect or better than Ishwari. Always hyperactive. He also tries to impose what he feels on Sona, the only difference here is Sona listens to him only when she wants to listen. Rest of the time she politely shuts him up. Moreover he has Asha who is cool as cucumber in his life. Asha is there for him to put some sense in him every time he talk nonsense.
In case of Ishwari Dev listens her blindly and there is no one else who can show her the morror. Mamaji tries to do that but again he is living on her rehem o karam so there is a limit to what mamaji can advice to Ishwari.

well i am reading totally different versions of Pov regarding both sona , soha and Dev.
i am putting forth each persons pov here, its for you to decide. its really a very long post, read at your own risk.

1) Soha. she is a very warm and kind child, she has been taught what is right and what is wrong. she has been taught to stand up for herself, have love and compassion for all. her opinions are valued as any other family member, she is never reminded that she is too small to take decisions nor anyone dictates terms to her saying you are too young and as elders we know what is best for you.
she is given a right to choose and when some is not happy with her choice they can openly tell her their unhappiness. at the end of the day, she is given what she desires but never made to feel obliged because she got what she wanted. she neither has to carry the sense of gratitude nor the feeling that it is her "HAQ" to have it. instead she is made to feel like she deserved it so she got it.

coming to her relationship with dev, she always imagined her PAPA to be some one with compassion, immense love for her and "good human being " in general. her mom too always reiterated the fact that he was a good son, a good brother and a good human being but his only flaw was he was not good enough for her as a husband. In a way sona never tried to bring forth the shortcomings dev had as a person. and soha has a great liking for her dad as is evident from her drawings. she does not harbour any hatred or apathy towards her dad.

intially when soha met dev , she had an instant liking as a person. the minute she got to know that he is her papa, she started comparing him with the only other papa she sees everyday. she started assessing his behaviour, based on what she had been taught all these days . remember school has a rule no phones, yet dev sends in the phone, he breaks into her room not once but twice, encourages her to hide things from her mother . there in her book are a strict no no. Dev's explanation that he is not aware of her existence, does not sound convincing for her to believe him. all she knows is papa and mumma alag hogaye hai, she is too small to understand the bitterness in a separation.
she is now facing conflicting emotions, she loves dev but at the same time sees his behaviour as a contrast to her image of "ideal papa" hence her reluctance to call him as papa. and coming to her calling him as MR. DIXIT., remember she calls her self as MISS. BOSE and according to her it is an endearment. she loves being addressed by her surname and takes pride when she is addressed that way. so in a way, she is trying to place her dad on a higher pedestal. she is longing to see all those qualities she imagined in her papa in dev and hence her immediate acceptance to test. It was not her idea but dev's to test him to win her trust. she did not ask dev, instead dev volunteered to prove his worth and she is more than willing to put him to test.

Sona, -- she has no doubt about dev loving his daughter. she know how much he longed to have a baby girl, he can go to any extent to be with his daughter. All she fears is in his eagerness to be closer to his daughter, he may snatch soha away from sona. all she knows is that he is a puppet to ishwari's desires. today he may be patient to wait for soha to accept him, but his patience may wane off quickly when his mother forces him to bring his daughter home. so she is trying to remind him of his promise by having an agreement drawn .this agreement is not for Dev but indirectly for ishwari to be reminded that Sona is the "MOTHER" of the child and she cannot take any decisions omitting her. it is a reminder for Ishwari that Soha is the daughter of "Dev and Sona first" rather than being khandaan ka waaris or chirag or poti of ishwari. she is suhana first before being a " bose " or "dixit"

Dev- his love for every member in his family was always unconditional. he is a kind of person who can go to any extent for his loved ones . As he said, the only "person" that he desired for himself was sona. she is his life .period. he can NEVER give her place to any one else. his major flaws are he is impulsive and can maintain/retain/value only one relation at any point in time. he can only be either "ishwari's son" or " sona's husband" or sohas father at any point in time. he cannot manage multiple roles simultaneously. Today he was shocked as for the first time since he had known sona, he saw that she had an element of mistrust in him. Even when they broke up, she might have been angry at him but she never mistrusted him. today she is questioning his loyalty towards relations/ and his promises which never happened earlier.even during their breakup, sona could still understand Devs' POV and was willing to oversee his shortcomings. its for the first time sona is glaring at his shortcomings and openly calling him out for them. she has stopped being the understanding one for once. She is has become demanding for the first time.
