Fantastic post as usual! 👏
Loved the 'Right/Wrong' analysis 👏

Fully agree with what you wrote on Sona and Soha's reactions.

Hi Suchi. I like your blog... on KRPKAB. But can i tell you something... please dont take offence...
I feel you are are very pro Dev and anti Sona. I know that many people would find Sona high handed and rude... but if you think about the treatment that the Dixit Family meted out to her (Dev never did anything directly but then never stopped his family and especially his mother from mentally abusing Sona). Why is everyone conveniently forgetting that even if Dev was not aware that Sona had come to meet him with a six month old Soha, did he make any efforts to find Sona.

He lived for 6 years hating her and wallowing in alcohol induced stupor and self pity. But look at how Sona rebuilt her life. Agreed that his family took advantage of him but they could do so because he allowed them..

I am sorry of I hurt u all... but this is my view. I am a big fan of Devakshi and hence I want them both to realise their mistakes especially with each other...

Hi Asha,

Thanks for appreciating my articles.

Let me at the outset reiterate that I am always a supporter of DevAkshi not of only Dev or only Sona. It is unfortunate that you find I am pro Dev & anti Sona, that is entirely your opinion and I can honestly not do anything about it. 😊

But let me clarify a few things here. If I were anti Sona, I wouldn't be spending so much time & effort analysing & rationalizing her behavior. I have said this many times, I merely analyse the episode based on what is presented in the epi and do not talk of past actions or behaviour of the leads unless absolutely necessary. Likewise, I also analyse Dev's and Ish's behaviour and try to rationalize them.
I do agree that both Dev & Sona have made many mistakes but I am not into this blame game of who did what and how much. For me all that matters is that sadly, they are not DevAkshi anymore bot only Dev & Sona.

Let me address your concerns to the best of my abilities:

1. Dev allowed his family especially Ishwari to mentally abuse Sona.
Dev in my opinion was never faultless and had made mistakes. As for allowing Sona to be mentally tortured, most of the time Sona kept him in the dark about all the abuse she was facing from Ishwari, Vicky & Mami as she believed she could solve it herself. Dev may have kept quiet when Mami said a few unpleasant things because he never gave much weight to her words and both Dev & Sona had, on many occasions discussed that Mami was not someone they should bother about.

2. Sona had at least come to meet Dev with 6 month Soha but Dev never made any efforts to meet Sona.
Why would he? As far as they were concerned, the relationship was dead. Sona also went to meet Dev only for the sake of Soha as she felt she needed her father as well as mother. If there was no Soha, I can bet Sona also would have made no attempts to meet Dev.

3. Dev was in a drunken stupor for 6 years but Sona rebuilt her life.
That can hardly be termed as an issue. Sona had to prove to everyone that she would regain her family's lost honor. Besides, she had a reason to live, it was her daughter. Sona herself has admitted to this fact that had Soha not come into her life, she would have broken apart.
As for Dev, drunk or not, Dev never stopped being the shrewd businessman that he was. His keen business acumen even made his trading company lots of money.

I do not wish to change your opinion about me in any way, that is entirely your prerogative but perhaps you also need to re-evaluate your thoughts and see if you are getting a wee bit anti-Dev and pro-Sona instead?

P.S: I have not taken offence to whatever you have said, so don't worry 😊

Hi suchi

Just wanted to say that being mature adults we can agree to disagree!

BTW my opinion was on the storyline and not on your views personally. After all everyone is entitled to their views.

Cheers

Exactly my point! We can always agree to disagree. I almost always put a note in my articles that I respect differing PoVs.

You did comment on my views being anti Sona & pro Dev, hence I was compelled to respond. I normally do not defend my take on the storyline as I have already said all that I want to in my article & I understand that people may have differing views on the characters in the show.

You had raised a few issues/instances where you felt Sona was right & I offered my take on them. That is all it was meant to be!

Cheers!
