Dixits are funny clans. No wonder they all are made for each other.
They have different rules for different people

If it's sonakshi who kept them away from their waaris, she should be ready for Mahabharat ka yudh. If they themselves are responsible for the same mistake, just utter few bitter words, and forget everything. No yudh. 😆

They want waaris without mother. Like Elena is just like a furniture in that house, all they care about Gollu. Same way they want soha without sonakshi. If anyone of them were a scientist, first invention would be how to produce kids without involvement of woman. 😆

I'd have agreed with you, had I not seen the IF spoiler video where Dev is talking to Ishwari all smiley and cheerful after Soha leaves. When we are disappointed and tired of people who lied and manipulated us, we can't even look at them, let alone talk and smile with them. The Dev we saw in the initial episodes of season 3 is not the same Dev I saw today.

Was he upset with Ishwari? Yes.

But he was not enraged like he was when he thought Sonakshi kept Soha away from him.

So does it mean he was never enraged with his mother? That's not true either.

He was enraged with Ishwari when he found out that Ishwari took his sign on pre-nup by fraud. He was so enraged that he did not even used to come home for seven years. Because then Sonakshi was not around as whipping post to punish for all her imagined sins.

Then what happened? Sonakshi came back. Now his favourite whipping post is around, so Mummy can be spared. Now they can be buddies again.

So that's why I have hard time believing that he is really tired of Ishwari. In fact I believe that now that he knows that Ishwari is the reason of him being away from Soha and not Sonakshi, the supposed value of missing the initial six years has gone down extensively. It now can be forgiven whereas previously it required open war.

i have a different take here.

dev was raging with anger on sona because he believed that she did not care about him anymore. he felt her ego has overtaken the mutual feelings they shared for each other which made her hide the existence of his daughter. this triggered the angry outburst on her.

coming to ishwari, dev might have stopped treating her as his bhagwan, but he can NEVER doubt the love of a parent. he could not think of her to be manipulative. today was his biggest blow ever.
for the 7 long years, he was delusional that sona " never looked back" and living a life of hell. his mom was a witness to all his agony, yet she never blurted out that sona did pay a visit. on top of it she had blatantly lied to him that sona was moving on, getting remarried .for the first time he realized how manipulative his mom is!!

when he come home all he gets to hear the same old rant of ishwari, " i have not done anything intentionally " . that was the last straw for him, he is totally battered, he has no more energy in him to fight with anyone. he is fighting his own internal battles, he lost hope on life forever now. his single statement phele mujh se mera pyaar cheen gaya, aur ab meri aulaad, sums up his state . he very clearly pointed out to ishwari what she had snatched away from him with her toxic love. she sucked out the breath from him.

Tia. Finally got the motivation to post here although today have watched the episode quite earlier than expected. The episode pissed me to an extent I shut myself off from IF and Dailymotion both for next few hrs 🤬.

First of all, have a wonderful vacation, the place looks lovely. ❤️ Must be a much needed break from the busy life that we have here throughout the year. 🥳 Enjoy loads.

Then thanks to Ashi and Rose both for taking the task forward 🤗 We have nowhere else to go than this although these days the whole forum and some of the Pro-Dev members are also voicing their opinions about Dev's double-standard. 👍🏼 Ashi and Andro, will haunt you down during those days if you don't create the space for us to breathe. 🤗

Now coming to the episode - Shocked. A man who discriminates between the women at his house is nothing but a hypocrite IMO. And Dev, by far, has proven to be the biggest kind of jerk we have at our households around us.

When first Dev came to know about Rithwik's proposal, I thought this is it. That was not.

When Dev got drunk and shouted at her during the Engagement night, I thought this is it. That was not.

When Dev saw that Ishu's love for Sona was only because of her pregnancy, I thought this is it. That was not.

When Dev learnt about pre-nup initially, I thought this was it. That was not.

When Dev learnt about the fraudulent signature taking act, I thought this was it. That was not.

Today Dev found out that it's due to her he was away from his daughter for last 6 yrs. I thought that was it ? Despite all previous disappointments, if I say no I didn't, I would be lying. But today, it was indeed a wake-up call for me from Dev's perspective. I realized that it's not like Dev is UNAWARE of his mother's cruelty and selfishness, but he KNOWS and ignores it conveniently. We can expect a solution to a problem only if we first acknowledge it as a problem. If we brush it off completely tagging it as a destiny/fate, or rather pretend that the problem doesn't even exist in the first place, how can we expect a cure ?

Dev's life is full of mishaps, because he chose to be blind. It's not a 8-yr old kid. It's a grown-ass man of 35 yr old who, despite knowing his mother's role in his barbaadi, CONSCIOUSLY decides to brush it off. Hence blaming Ishwari is just an excuse for me. Dev is AS guilty towards Sonakshi as Ishwari is to Sonakshi. It's a joint venture of Maa-Beta. It was never Dev being misguided by Ishu or manipulated by Ishu. It is always about Dev ALLOWING her time and again to do that to him. In my dictionary, both are equally responsible for their miserable state. And Dev is a bit more responsible for Sonakshi's pain and sufferings, because it's him who primarily got attached to Sonakshi in terms of relationship, not Ishwari. Hence it was Dev's responsibility to take care of Sona, not Ishwari's.

Too disappointed. 🤔 Maa-Beta should rot in hell for all I care. 👎🏼

Oh totally. In fact, Dixits should only opt for paid surrogacy with controlled IVF to ensure genetic engineering is successful making a perfect Dixit replica. Marriage or any kind of normal relationship with regular people outside their narrow family circle is not for them.

Thank you, Guddi. Yes, you are right. Just like Ishwari, Dev had two standards for women - one is reserved for the member of his family, the other is for every other women not from his family. He maintained it throughout his life.

He fell in love with Sonakshi. But that double standard remained rooted in him. His love wasn't enough to uproot the double standard because he never considered Sonakshi as his family. Because as I have noticed in some families a wife is not a family of the husband.

So when Ishwari said, "Dev jo bhi karta hain apne parivaar ke liye karta hain", Sonakshi was not included there.

So am I surprised to see Ishwari yet again getting a clean sheet to start over? No

Am I disappointed to see how much so called true love is worth? Yes.

That's why I don't think Dev deserves Sonakshi. He couldn't be the supportive and understanding partner she wanted or needed. He was always the one asking for support and understanding. But in the end, this one way exchange sucked Sonakshi dry which I predicted would happen before they get married.

On a lighter note, this is a cuter version of Ishwari when she gets stubborn.

I took Sabita's advise and went for a long walk with my daughter. And watched the episode after dinner, after reading some hilarious creativity of the girls on your thread Tia ⭐️👏
Dev & Ishwari are not even worth my rant!😡 Dog's tail can never straighten!

My heart went out to Sona 🤗 I pray that NO girl EVER gets a MIL like IShwari and a husband like Dev!!

And Erica, just nailed it! ⭐️ Her voice modulation, her expressions were so apt! She's come such a long way 👏 Shaheer is brilliant as always, but as someone said, none of his brilliant acting makes my heart even sway a bit for Dev! 🤢

That's it! I can't be bothered anymore ...am off to sleep! Good night to those on this side of the world & good weekend to the rest! 😊

P.S. I can't be a member of IHKO...😆 I have the #6 in real life ...the full form made me re-think if I had any of that 😳 That automatically certifies me for # 5 🤪🥳You were simply brilliant Ashi 👏

Editing to add: Thanks Guddi for the Netflix - Stories by Rabindranath Tagore. I am already on # 5. What a creativity!! 👏 As I was watching my daughter got curious and I told her about Rabindranath Tagore. I am sure she'll enjoy 'em as she grows up. She already finished watching Sherlock - all seasons, much to my surprise! As long as she does not get hooked to meaningless desi shows the way I am 😳

Sometime I wonder is this the same Dev who proposed Sona.. As a man loves a woman?? Is this his way of a man loving a woman?
How so I miss the early Dev Dixit ? When will he rise from the ashes...I'm losing my patience to see him rise...he never fails to fall.

Erica was too good. I like her subtle emotions. I hate melodrama. My heart went out for Sona all the time.

Shaheer is always a star. But Dev's actions are far outweighing his acting talents.

Supriyaji...I am not able to do anything here...I just hate Ishwari.

@bold,those were the keywords I guess. He loves Sona as a man loves a woman while he loves Ishu like a son who loves his mom.
Tell me now which love is greater??😉😆
