22nd February 2017 - Wednesday

The unexpected happened today. Dev revealed to Suhana that he is Dev Dixit and Suhana answered his question honestly,"Agar aap mamma ko khush nahin rakh sakte toh..." And then the confused child takes off in sheer anguish and almost gets herself killed. Poor kid. My heart went out to Suhana.

I was pleased thou that an innocent question would compel Dev to dwell into the past. The meeting with Sonakshi scheduled tomorrow would probably decide the rest.

Suhana has been moulded as per the Boses, so she has to be honest and strong. Honest she is and wants to be strong too, but did the Boses miss out on the innocence of a six year old. Children of this age like to ape their parents. Right from picking out words from conversations, tone of voice etc, they are mini parents themselves. Suhana told Dev exactly what Sonakshi has taught her, except the question perhaps! (or are those Sonakshi's words too). She likes Dev and considers him her friend. Does she fear losing her family if she accepts Dev? Sonakshi giving Suhana the choice of meeting her father was itself weird. And the six year old child was visibly confused when she found him. If she was so clear in her mind, she would have said NO to Dev. But she didn't!!! 😭

Dev is genuinely happy that he has a daughter as beautiful as Suhana who also looks like Sonakshi. But, Ishwari's face fell when Dev said that. Why? Because she still wants to believe that Sonakshi is the reason for Dev's present state?

I liked when Dev said that he wants to live again. He has been re-born. So will the viewers get to see a clean-shaven Dev with a shorter haircut?

Dear Dev, today your daughter asked you perfect question Dev, if he can't keep my mother happy then how can he keep me happy? Do you really have any answer Dev?

Dear Sona, can you please come out from I am perfect and my daughter is perfectly happy world and keep your rose tinted glasses aside and see your daughter condition. She already became another Dev and losing her innocence.

Your daughter is more mature than you two. If possible you two please borrow little maturity from her and allow her to live a normal childhood which a six year old deserves.

It's like you read my mind after today's episode, Latha! How much more selfish and oblivious could these two be? I am too angry at both of them right now to write anything coherent. 😡

Dev was genuinely happy to find that his daughter is a replica of Sonakshi. Moreover (fingers crossed) atleast he could gauge his mothers bewilderment also reg suhana's resemblance to Sonakshi...3 cheers to Dev for being honest and revealed to Soha that he is her father...it wasn't an insensitive decision...he already has lost 0-6 years of his beloved's life and he doesn't want to loose a single nano second...he wants to have father-daughter relationship rather than Golu's bigcha...why should he pretend first, win her confidence and then reveal the truth...that will be like playing with the emotions...Dev is confident that he will be the best dad for his daughter and wants to shower her with his incessant love...why waste a nano second?...the little girls acted so well and her performance have improved also...

@sam, don't know Sam when these two will grow up. They should be ashamed of themselves seeing their kid's maturity. Seriously that little kid doesn't deserve this emotional mess at this age. There is one thing I can't accept in this world is that a parent robbing childhood innocence from their kid. This is the reason why I can never call ishwari a mother, she ruthlessly robbed childhood from two innocent kids irrespective of their wishes.

I am still not able to remove that birth certificate without father name scene from my memory. Do they even know what that means? She is not any illegitimate child damn it, she is the result of a legal marriage and most importantly their symbol of love. This kid doesn't deserve this or these two doesn't deserve this kid?

@bold. I don't think that is a fair question. That's like saying any parent who's undergone a divorce is automatically a questionable parent or person? Sometimes people just can't make each other happy. It doesn't mean they don't have the right to any relationships. Being a good parent is very different from making it work out with an adult spouse.

That's why Sona's actions really annoy me. Someone not being a good husband to you does NOT mean you get to take away the other person's right to be a parent. Sona didn't keep Dev and Ishwari happy either, so why is she exempt from being asked that question? I get that Sona was afraid of Dev taking away Soha. That's fine. She doesn't get to hold moral high ground because Dev couldn't keep her happy.

Honestly poor Soha. I really hope these two don't use her as a pawn. Dev has a justifiable right to be angry but I really hope he rises above that to do what is right for Soha.

@Latha: Even though the emotion in the Soha-Dev scene was there, I couldn't get past the fact that the school is allowing Soha to converse casually with an adult man at all hours. Don't they realise that this is dangerous? And is there no watchman at the gate to prevent kids from running out like that? And Dev himself. What he said to Soha and the way he communicated would have been beautiful had it been in a different context. At her home, her safety zone, with the people she trusts close at hand. He owed it to Soha at least to confront Sona once and figure out if he could do this the right way; that is, with Sona's approval and help.

I think a big part of Soha's confusion and turmoil today came from the fact that she inadvertently broke the promise to her mother; had Sona taken a minute to talk and listen to her kid, she might have known this, and the confrontation with Dev would have been a different nature. I was already furious with Dev, and when I watched Sona walk into that room, see Soha lost, confused, and subdue, sitting alone with the drawing she did of her father, the fact that her first thought was to settle scores with Dev sent me over the edge. Doesn't the kid at least get a hug and an assurance that everything will be alright?

Finished watching the episode just now and I am literally fuming. Didn't want to post anything in main forum because my words can be really scathing today and don't want to agitate members there, hence came here to let my frustrations in calm manner (because you see I can't use those words here) I haven't read previous posts , so if you feel am out of line I apologize but I needed this.

How insensitive can these two can get? I mean seriously? Yesterday I was bawling my eyes for this father and today my heart went for that child. What on earth was Dev thinking when he proudly revealed his identity to a 6 yr old? I do understand you are happy but like this?? Your daughter is more matured than you. Didn't " If he can't keep my mother happy , how can he keep me happy" ring a bell? A shocked kid running mindlessly in confusion didn't ring a bell ? All you had to do was sharing your joy with your mother after breaking that little child's heart in confusion ? God please save me .

And Sona dear, you come running now, I was banging my head to not bring Soha anywhere near Delhi when you don't want to reveal that secret. Whats the need to show your self righteous attitude to a 6 yr old to take a decision ? When you can share everything about her father, why on earth you can't show her father too in amicable manner before something like this happened? Now your girl is sitting on that bed lifeless and all you want to do is fight with your Ex? Shouldn't you be embracing and relaxing her clearing her confusion first?

Let me just go and adopt Suha myself , you two keep fighting mindlessly..Just leave that kid alone😡

Sorry fellas, I completely lost myself today and this is the most calmest I can post now..I can tolerate anything but playing with a child's emotions is my weak point and I snap.

I feel much better now...will sleep off today's episode and forum completely and will be back when am cooled tomorrow😆

@bold: This is a really good point! In the capacity of relationships in general, I totally agree with you. And in the capacity of this story, it echoes what I always saw as Ishwari and Dev's main issue, their motto of "teri khushi mein meri khushi." This dialogue is not so much making a general statement that if you can't keep your spouse happy, you can't keep your child happy (which I totally agree is not true) but rather, is showing how impossible it is for Soha to imagine finding happiness in something that failed to give that happiness to Sona; something that makes Sona sad must be inherently wrong.

By using his friendship to spring this revelation on her, Dev very abruptly snatched away Soha's deepest conviction, and thereby rattled her entire world view. She is deeply disturbed by the idea that she likes someone who was so wrong for her mother and she is genuinely scared of the consequences of breaking her promise to Sona. At this time, she really needed her mother to tell her that it was okay, that she would love her no matter what. I was really disappointed to see Sona's prioritiesin this situation.

Sam, If i understand Sona's character correctly, i think Sonkashi wants to find out what Dev wants to do next.. so that she could talk to Soha with some expectations (She doesnt want to make any false promises with out knowing the complete picture). Dont think she will try to sabotage anything and will only act as a medium between father and daughter. I dont think Sona is trying to settle any scores. She wants to know what are dev's expectations before discussing further with Soha... lets see what happens tomorrow.

I have to say i really did not like Dev's body language in Precap. it was borderline spooky - with i will pick the place where to meet (similar to what he told aayan when he called him to meet)
