I think dev has been a character who the cvs have changed according to their whims. Sometimes he's shown smart sometimes dumb. This track about soha is probably a reaction to his trip to Indonesia.
Having watched a few soaps the original story gets diluted after some time. Here the basic premise is being maintained but some tracks are defying logic.
Mami is the one charachter & to an extent the boses have kept to the original charachterisation. Dev, ish & Elena have been modified the most that it becomes hard to empathize or even understand their actions.
