Dev tells Sona he does not want to remarry - does not want to move on..seems to be still stuck on her

Dev tells Easwari - he does nor care what Sona does

All signs pointing towards Soha being his daughter- but he refuses to see it..Just like he refused to see that he has not moved on, he still cannot balance or see what is in front of him..seems to have very limited vision (pun intended)

The Dev Dixit 1.0 had his weakness but he was a smart guy..A guy who knew Neil was not Sona Boyfriend

This Dev what is he?other than Torn jeans ?

The old Dev had his faults but was not cruel..what is he now?..what is the line about only I have the power to hurt?

People are saying the apple does not fall far from the tree and he is Easwari True Son..Is he? if he is, is he the Villain of this show because she certainly seems to be dark now no grays

Why is this hero not only being shown uncaring, rude , obnoxious but also Dumb?

What are these makers trying to show the audience?

I love Sonakshi but for me to root for her and Dev to get back together (yes I still do..because this is fiction, they look good together and I like happy endings) can they please have the real Dev stand up

Because this Dev seems to be a dumbed down version of the other Dev, and seemed to more and more remind me of Easwari a character I don't have sympathy for

Real questions:

is the actor going to leave the show that he does not mind his character being dumbed down like this?

or do actors have no say in the script and if so was this the original script

As audience does anyone have a clue on the portrayal of Dev and still invoke sympathy for him,..if so please enlighten me in a manner I can be convinced because I have tried all permutations and combinations😉

Forget about dev standing up..and don't be surprised. .soon sona forgiving and forgetting past and will jumping into dev's arm.

Is there any single hint in the serial that Dev and his family hurt so much sona and her family?? All emphasising on separation due to differences between husband and wife and their different thinking.

Gosh...it looks like the major thing is brushed under carpet. No prenup, no mistakes from dixits. ..don't know where is this story going.

From being boyfriend ,husband now ex husband .one thing is constant was his lack of courage of standing up for his so called "love".ye kabhi nahi hone wala.😕😕

Very good post Sabita..and bang on...Where is the real Dev dixit?

Even in season 1 I found myself resorting to all sorts of twisted logic to convince myself about the validity of his actions...After a lot of twisted logic(which included the fact that Dev was fallible and human and hence liable to make mistakes),my mind settled down at a point where I felt reasonably convinced..So I think the real Dev Dixit started disappearing in season 1 itself..

But in season 2,he is gone for good...Vanvaas pe chala gaya,wapas nahin aayega😉..This character who calls himself Dev is unrecognizable to me..He is rude,arrogant,dangerous,selfish,thoughtless,dumb,insensitive,flirtatious..oh god,u name it and he has it(all the bad things I mean)..This guy is beyond redemption..I find it impossible to find any logic for his behaviour...

Should Sona get back to such a guy?On the face of it(logically speaking)..never..avoid such guys like the plague...But of course,we have a love story and we have a child in the story..we have the CVs trying to make us believe that they still love each other in some weird twisted way..and so we too swallow all the crap they dish out to us...hoping that All's well that ends well..

and because the story is about pyar ke rang,not practical rang we wait for the day when the leads will get partial amnesia and get back together...😆

Till then,we can only be patient..watch this crap in the name of realism...and keep our thinking caps and brains aside..coz this serial is devoid of any logic whatsoever.

I am frustrated. Really frustrated. I have commented elsewhere that I want to see the original Dev, who was Mr obhodro, but sensitive, cultured, brave and in many ways the man. The cv's have so badly mutiliated him that it is painful to read of praises for every tom, Dick and harry.

It is not Dev, but will the real writers please stand up? Each episode goes further and further southward! And here I am, hoping against hope, just like you, to see Dev and Sona together, because they look good together and are meant to be together..

If Mr X, or Y is shown a better person than the hero, it is time for the old hero to go and a new one to come.

This is just not entertainment anymore. It is torture!

you seem to have forgotten how he ruined Sonakshi's career and job prospects. how he ruined Rithvik's opportunity to start his practice in Delhi. How he tried to ruin his sister's husband.

you seem to have forgotten how dumb he was in not seeing that his family didn't care for his feelings. Instead of blaming & punishing the real culprits, he blamed and punished the only person who ever cared for him. he is the biggest dumbo!

one of worst son character i have seen in this soap industry..👎🏼

cvs has ruined b4 7yrs ago dev's character now after 7 yrs of leap more worse way..

y they r doing these who can tell ..but i think shaheer should give suggestion to story writer to change his character ..as i remember yrs back one soap i have forgotten the name in that the male role requested to change his character different way as it was ruining his image in the show ..cvs had changed ..shaheer should get up .. this story is going nowhere sorry to say ..

funny thing they show all sonas fiance ,male friend very sensible ,decent image but only devs character they r ruining each day very sad..

sabita,i think suvika made a good observation today. Dev can never even in his worst nightmares imagine that sona could be pregnant with his child and chose to keep him in the dark.

earlier in neel's case he could detect immediately as sona was never good at lying. today too sona is not lying,but at the same time she is also not being open. over the years she has learnt to wear a mask and its beyond dev to peel off the mask unless she wishes to let him see through the cracks like what happened during dev's recent fight scene.

he can connect that sona treats suhana as her daughter but he is yet uncertain of the paternity. even if he imagines she is adopted, he is curious to know who could be the father as he can see incandescent character traits of his in the child. as he said he knows her and he strongly believes that the sona he knows can never hide the fact of delivering a tiny sonakshi hidden from him.

but yeah, he is yet to realise that current version of sonakshi may still be decoded by him to a certain extent and over the last 7 years she has acquired new characteristics that are beyond his comprehension.

The makers are showing that Dev is confused and dragging this revelation with jasoosi and all because Shaheer is in Indonesia - for his movie commitments. So they'll probably shoot full-fledged once he is back. Until then we have to embrace the Dev whose brain is on vacation (coincidentally Shaheer too is on vacation-though it is work calling, it is still a vacation form KRPKAB)😆

@randommusings I did write about him choosing to see AND him not connecting because he will not think Sona will hide but still I have issues with depiction of a hero like this..because it is becoming more and more difficult to watch this show and root for Sona and Dev to get back together like how Prabhat said every Tom Dick and Harry are being shown smart and then why not the hero

@Anita you are right there is a total disconnect it almost feels like the makers say let us show 2 good episodes then some bad but keep Dev Dixit with no growth..makes no sense
