So we were introduced and I started talking with her. I asked her how she is settling in and gave her some tips and tricks of how to survive Canadian winter. She then told me that she was kind of worried about me but I am nice to her. I asked her why? She said that she knows that she is not the first choice for them and they had let her know that I was the first choice, but they rejected ME because they wanted a quiet bahu. Just imagine. Not only they hurt her self-respect by making her feel inferior and a second choice, but used ME to let her know what kind of expectations they have from her.

So I told her that actually I rejected the proposal and told her that not to believe me but verify with a few other people. She said that she had a nursing degree from India and wants to do a job. But her husband wants her to do medical office assistant course, so that she can just work in a medical office and has regular hours even though she is a qualified nurse from India and a few course could have helped her earn a lot more money than medical office assistant. Nurses get paid a lot here.

Anyways, I could not help her much. Because I was powerless. But I told her rights as permanent resident and as a wife. She thanked me for letting her know. I gave her my phone no. if she wants to talk. But she never called me. I live in Toronto now. So I am not in touch with her. I hope she is doing well.

What!! They lied to the girl and used you for that?? Shows what kind of jerks those people are.

The husband has shown his true colors when he tried to influence her choice of a job.

Anyway as you said it's beyond our power to do anything for her.But all we can do is pray that she is fine and happy.

I think all three of them in some order.
Definitely rage and shock. Emotional breakdown too. and definitely confronting Sonakshi at some point too.
Dev's rage will be justified but the way he choses to show his emotions will be up for discussion. He'll probably fly off the handle and not be very subtle about it but what is of the most importance is exactly how much weight his confrontation with sonakshi holds. That will decide a lot of things.

And I'm more interested to know If bete raja will muster at least some courage to also fault his mother in all of this.

P.S. Praful is ten times smarter than Dev will ever be.😆

Also I wanted to ask this because I'm confused a bit. I haven't watched all episodes so I must've missed this but when the Boses were talking of the Prenup conditions they said 'Dev will not be responsible for Sonakshi's child financially and otherwise.' but it nowhere said he would NOT have any right on the child. Which means if Dev wants to be involved in his child's life he will be, it doesn't shun him of any rights.

Also why will his lawyer who was neutral throw Dev out of his own child's life? It doesn't make any sense at all. This prenup is in Dev's favour. So isn't it more about Dev being free of the responsibility and choosing to take it upon himself of his freewill? Rather than being forced to take half of it and pay something or otherwise in case of divorce? It doesn't make sense.

In balh ram was enraged that piya hid their kid. He won custody battle and piya accepted while was very hurt inside. The kid was also unhappy and both realized and came to understand each other. This is standard MO of Indian telly. Execution is the key. Balh I remember crying for piya cause the way she portrayed her depression about losing case, trying to be brave when her kid left for rams, her crying holding her toys. Also I felt for Ram cz while he was wrong but you could feel his anger. His longing to know his kid. It's all about execution.

The way I see is half of viewer is disgusted with dev. If show goes with custody way this disgust will increase further. I would rather if they yell at each other but don't let it drag to court. Come to an mutual understanding like suvikas os. They should actually copy paste that story it's perfect and logical.

what happens to the child who had an imaginary Dad as a hero but got a Dad who actually separated her from her mother..what happens to the childs Psyche?

Forget about Sona for a second but just think of the child..will the makers really go that extent? and if they do is there any coming back for Sona and Dev as it is I see it difficult.

And where does that leave Soha who for 6 years knew only one parent. And doesn'tthat mean easwari wins?

Sorry for all these questions but I am not seeing anything remotely logical ( of course this show does not have any) but even emotionally positive if it goes this way

Di,as far as I know,custody battles have a very adverse effect on the child.

Soha is used to the mother.Now if Dev uproots everything all of a sudden,she won't be able to handle it.

If we take a hypothetical case in which Dev does get Suhana' s custody somehow,then she will be there in the Dixit house surrounded by toxic people like Radha,Vicky and the great Ishwari Maate.That environment will be new and weird for her.If I imagine myself in her shows then somehow she will lose the spark which she had initially for she will be caught in a mess.

And if Sona is forced to return to the Dixit Blackhole for Soha's sake then all the character build up will be pointless.

Dev's redemption won't even be a distant dream IMO.
