It is so ironical that both Dev and Sona are trying to win against each other after 7 years, when they lost 7 years of best times together. Some people never learn from there mistakes. It's fiction, and they have to meet - but when you don't stop loving someone but learn to live without them, there has been no real trigger to believe they are incomplete now. Both are not over each other, but is that a reason enough to get back on a ego trip?
The entire piece looks forced and the makers should look towards packaging a more convincing drama. Sona's purpose to visit Delhi could have been introducing Soha and Dev. And then how the dynamics would play out.
It would have been more interesting and real.
For entertainment purposes, yeh tashan to chal hi raha hai!

I feel the reason Sonakshi did not take the offer of 30% extra on the deal is because Dev changed his mind. I mean that was one of Sonakshi's complaint that Dev expects people to dance to their tune(Dev and Ishwari). That Dev did not stand by his decisions.
I think if Vickky due to Dev had not called asking for the cancellation of deal, Sonakshi might have asked that agent to look for a different space. But because Vickky called and said that "Dev has changed his mind", Sonakshi decided that she will not go by his choices.

That is the moment she decided that she will show Dev that she no longer will do as he wants her to do. It is as most of you have said, she is trying to show that she is independent of him. That she no longer cares about what he wants...

Vickky is the wild card here. Hopefully his actions will help Dev - Sonakshi rather than hurt them more...😊

Thank you Sam and DQ for this thread, amazing perspectives to read.
@Latha, DQ I agree Sona is on a power trip and has a point to prove to Dev. The reason she absolutely refused his offer of profit was to prove he cannot hold her ransom to his will anymore and expect her to fall in line with his fickle decisions. She is no longer intimidated by THE Mr Dev Dixit and will not let him dictate the Dos and Donts of her life like he did in their marriage.

To make a statement or to prove her point or to show case her capabilities, she will instigate him again and again with her actions.

Sona dear, award winning night drama at the function as well as at the hotel was not enough to prove your point. Any way lage raho Sona dear or else how we will see your thashan thashan game. Let me go and grab some popcorn stock before the start of the episode since my son strictly warned me to not touch his popcorn stock.😭

I think the main point to continue with the same place is first she want to prove that she is successful. She want to answer the dev. This is the most surprising part that is there is actually no need to prove this. She has won the award. But some how she want the appreciation from Dev. She want to prove the point. and at certain extends satisfy her ego and pride. And from my point of view this is the main problem. When the things comes to the pride her logical thinking get over.
Many of the viewers will not agree with my point but 7 years ago to payback 5 cr in shuch shorten period by mortgaging the whole property was a wrong decision. If she don't want to receive any totes then she can simply transfer the ownership of the co to Dev. But at point entire Bose family's pride and ego was heart. They do not want think practically. Because of this one wrong decision dev and sona now bearing the outcome of them. I know there relation was standing on the shaky grounds which was lacking the trust, communication and fear . But still her decision was wrong. and another aspect they never show that dada was having the caliber to run and manage the entire business. so it will be full time sona's responsibly to take care of her family like dev. So in this situation she will never able to live her life. And can some one give me the analysis on the sona's current relation with her parents. Some how feel love and bonding is lacking. Some how now I donot like bijoy's character also. How can a father say like this ki' Jo huva me kabhi nahi buluga nad meri beti ko bhi nahi bulane duga'. Because of his this attitude a child has lost fathers love for 7 years.

Shaavi, I agree she refused the profit because it appeared like he had changed his mind. But she may not have actively backed down from the deal either, because she told the dealer that as long as the property was ok she was willing to go ahead with the deal but his supposed change of mind made her resolve stronger.

Precisely. 30% is a red-herring. That is Dev being Dev... I am gonna throw money at this. Sona has twice now (that I noticed) rejected an option which was more money - hotel upgrade and 30% more price for something she just bought. Both times Sona was trying to drive home the point that "Mr Dixit, you can't outbuy me anymore. I got money err power now".

In the hotel, before shruti happened, Sona had already tried to change the room. It's after she saw what Dev was upto; she decided to stand up against this(not the womanising piece. It simply arose those old emotions in her)- it hit where it hurts her most - her self- respect and the power she perceives Sona 2.0 has. Ditto with the property with the realtor. She would probably have backed off, but as soon as Dev came into the picture, her guard went up.

I actually like how Dev is touching a raw nerve with Sona. Unless she deals with her own vulnerabilities, she wont get sorted either

What is interesting is that we have seen 3 interactions thus far:
1. Trophy. After Sona brought this into public, Dev took it with him to make her realise she needs to give herself credit. After he held the most important trophy of his life, he happily returned it to her
2. Hotel - He accepted the charges that he was in Sona's room. She was taken aback herself
3. Office space - After trying to get the space back, he backed off without much of a fight.

What's going on?
