Why is Sona moving to Delhi?

I may have missed something but why is Sona moving to Delhi and admitting Soha to school there? For a woman who is hiding her child from Dev for the last 7 years, why take the risk that Dev will find out?

How will the story move forward otherwise?

Both the leads have to come back to the same city to move the story forward. All for the sake of drama really! Otherwise in real life, if a girl ends a marriage and has started a life in another city and is doing very well, why will she even bother!!

I don't think Sonakshi ever thought to hide Soha. She just thought based on the pre-nup that he didn't want anything to do with the child once they got divorced. Otherwise she won't move where Dev might see Soha with her and realize that he has a daughter.

Honestly I don't buy that. For one, Sonakshi knows Dev was excited about a child. The prenup clause may be a standard thing from a legal standpoint so as to avoid the girl getting pregnant on purpose divorcing and then being able to receive financial support from the guy. I cant remember if she knows it was Ishwari who made the prenup? But she definitely knows Ishwari was desperate for a child.

But secondly, if she really did believe Dev didn't care about a child even more the reason to not hide that she had his kid. In 7 years she can't pick up the phone and just inform him? If he doesn't care, at least her conscience is clear. Hiding a child is a pretty big deal.

In most of the situation once the kid meets the estranged parent he has a tendency to be empathic towards him n open for manipulation from his side. Could result in broken bond of mother and daughter.

Sona didn't know Ishwari made the pre-nup. However, it was handed over to her by Dev along with a bunch of accusations. What I don't understand why Sonakshi needs to clear her conscience while her husband left her holding a legal paper duly signed and dated stating he doesn't want any responsibility of his child after accusing her of being a gold digger/unfit mother (good that she was barren)/home-wrecker etc.

How would she know that wanting a child wasn't another of his lies? Didn't he continue to lie throughout their marriage?

It's not as if she claimed his property but didn't tell him about his child. She followed a legal document his lawyer prepared, signed/dated/handed to her by him word by word, now it's her fault for assuming he should have used her brains and read a document he is handing over to his wife?

What stopped Dev from picking up the phone to find out if Sonakshi was pregnant or not? She had 7% chance not missing uteras. But he pretty much wrote her off.

If she wanted to hide Soha, she could have left her birth certificate blank, never tell her the truth and/ or let her decide where she wants to live and bring her to Delhi where being in business, she is bound to bump into Dev.

Who is judging her action? She doesn't need to prove to anyone anything. If she had hidden Soha away or introduce her as her adopted daughter, who would know considering Dev's family thinks she can't be mother at all.

If she wanted to hide Soha or keep her away from her father or hide her, she is doing a really bad job and no one is that stupid. In no time, when Dev came close to seeing Soha, I have seen panic or fear in her eyes. That proves that she doesn't think she is wrong or scared that Dev will find out about Soha.

Which also means her conscience is clear. Fear, guilt, panic show up when your conscience is not clear, like Dev felt everytime he lied.
