Dev doesn't know wht true love is! Lovers never humiliate their love in public. They let it go when needed. Today I have seen a guy like dev in my college. He purposed a girl n she rejected. Then from somewhere he brought petrol n burned himself. Guards saved him but girl said no to him several times. But he reminded me of dev who can never understand women emotions! I saw it live today... N now that guys has built a guilt trap for that girl🤬

^^^^ +100 and it that context- Yesterday was watching raanjhana. I love that movie mainly cause the director has a knack to absorb the setting of his story so much that it becomes part of story. But that's about it. It actually showed those creepy savdhan india type stories we read in papers- guy after girl, not getting when she's repeatedly saying no, then do suicide and all are after the girl blaming her. My tution teacher's bro also did it 2 years back, all were badmouthing the girl and i was like am i missing something? What is the logic that she could have saved him, did she know it? Ye acha hain, either burn yourself or burn her, but never understanding no or your own delusions.🤡

So sad to hear the stories of burning oneself, good reference of the movie Ranjhana. Honestly I didnt get the hype around the movie except the innoncense of the actor.

My concern regarding Dev's sadism today is actually related to the damage it does to the girl, the emotional disstress - something much deeper than any physical damage. The nonsense push-pull (PP not you dear 😆), twisting arms etc are still understandable to a certain point provided the girl is not petrified by it, but anything beyond that actually leaves a long-term impact on the girl. I have to mention the much relevant acid-attack incidents of today. It's not just the physical damage, but mostly the mental damage which shatters the girl. And it doesnt start from Day 1. It's a long process of first pestering the girl into accepting his proposal, stalking her for days, trying to humiliate the girl in public so that she has no other way to go, then the harrassment reaches the very entrance of the house of the girl, and finally when all of these fail, comes the acid. The irrepairable damage to shake the confidence of the girl from inside. The much needed introspection begins from the girl's side (instead of the boy's side) that what she did was wrong or not ?! The depression begins.

Honestly Dev's whoring around with girls did not bother me even 0.01% of what it did of his note and the precap. Earlier Dev has done the stalking and harrassing a girl's reputation privately (Kushal Roy) and publicly (engagement, in front of Rithwik in restaurant), but none of those are to the level of shaking her confidence. Those are all exterior damages. But this, humiliating her pride in public and tomorrow him banging on the door, it's shitty scary. First one is challenging Sona's mental strength and confidence, second one is challenging Sona's physical safety. Pathetic !! What next ? Attacking her family by invading her home and then Acid attack ?

I cannot bet on him anymore, he has reached low beyond my limit of prediction !!

Thank you everyone for reading and sharing your thoughts. So I finally saw the episode and as I thought after reading the update, my blood boiled. I was going to post a reply here, but decided it went too long and deserved a separate post. Here's the link.
