No destiny was not sleeping they were😆...they just decided to wake up Sona in tow with a child and Dev in tow with a bunch of girls...of course they also woke up to a new wardrobe😉

QUOTE=Lady_Macbeth]@Tia di I'm all for life your life by your own rules. It's after all Dev and Sonakshi's lives they'll decide whether they should and would reunite or not and on which terms.
But since they've successfully survived and shining better than ever for freaking 7 long years why'd they go back to a failed relationship unless they're fetish for masochism. If they really mattered for each other they'd have surely communicated with each other within this time. After all we always reach out to people who really matter to us.
7 years they've stayed away so please no destiny bullshit. Was their destiny sleeping all these years. 😆

Your suggestions are excellent and will be as many of us said, "Nayi Soch"... I'd like to see here the little girl growing up to be a strong and independent woman. Ishwari always bragged about what would Sonakshi do if she was a single mother. I want to see Sonakshi proving to Ishwari that a single mother can raise an independent person who is not constantly worshipping at his/her mother's feet and doing her bidding but making her upbringing an example by being a complete and independent person with their own thoughts, opinions and judgement.

But alas, this is TV Land where regression rules. Men and women can't be happy and single. They are either single and miserable or happy and married or miserable and married.

Also if the western tv counter parts can produce high quality food for thought in their products why should we give the Indian telly makers leeway giving them the ready made excuse of oh it's a fiction after all so need not worry about content.
Even I'm myself a huge Sharica fan and yes the leads do look fantastic together but i won't buy meaningless crap in the name of romance even for them in fact especially for them.

I really feel you're not getting my point. People are given what they want to see. Do you know what are the most popular shows today supernatural ones. I am not saying it does not affect them but that is what sells. Another show which is very popular is crime patrol. A horrible show but immensely popular. And I disagree about western shows. This is the equivalent of a daily soap & they are equally mindless. Despite not being close to real life they have been running for decades.

In India romcoms are not popular. Here in US the evening shows are different from the daily Indian evening shows. People do try but like nail kapoors 24. It's good but nowhere as popular as these mindless sass bahu shows.

As for being a couples fans & mindless crap one of the most loved shows on this forum was ipkknd. Lousy storyline, horrible hero characterization but even today if you go to that show people are still
Writing stories to khushi & Arnav. This was only due the tremendous chemistry between sanaya & barun.

All I'm saying we are a small piece of the pie that serial makers target. The only solution is to watch the different & interesting web series or watch stuff like GOT.

Beautiful parallel roads running side by side 👏 Wouldn't that be a treat to watch.
Loved ur post n agree with all d comments too.

Your parallel roads analogy..reminded me abt one.of my fav hindi movies...Aandhi..pretty old movie so many of u might nt even heard abt it. Want to narrate gist of the story as its abt estranged couple n hw they meet after 15yrs.

Aandhi is about a couple..rich ambitious girl n middle class guy who falls in love n get married n hv a daughter. Girl starts feeling suffocated in the marriage bcoz she has to do household chores n take care of baby n set aside her career in politics. This leads to bitter arguements n finally the couple separate.

They accidently meet after 15yrs, both hav grown old n matured n realise the love they felt for each other hasn't changed a bit, there is no anger, no bitterness now. They do sweet little gestures for each other coz they remember each n every minute details abt the other. They could only meet at night as her political career might get affected if she was seen with a man. So every night they meet for dinner n go for long walks...talking abt love, life, wat could have been their life, reminiscing old times n forgotten chances.

But then she wins d election n takes a decision to let go of her career in national level politics n start afresh with her husband n give their marriage another chance. But this time the guy asks her to go n fulfil her career dream.

Wat he says is so beautiful...if u sacrifice one dream for another..u wud still be unhappy n wud always be thinking about what could have been. We will be separated by distance but will always be connected by her hearts. End of the movie..she goes to join her new role bt both r happy contended n very much in love as physical distance doesn't matter any more.

Oh how I would I love to see the maturity and calmness of these two characters to be reflected in Dev n Sona..but I knw it won't happen. But wud love to see hw they deal with their past n make way for future knowing both hav changed considerably n past can't be recreated now.

Excellent point. When Dev and Sonakshi are together, they are destructive to each other. When they are separate, they become stronger.
That is the definition of damaging relationship. So they are better off apart.
