You said it...the story is running in circles like the vicious circle and we are caught in it.

All I want to ask is do they even want to teach anything? or is this purely for entertainment the aimless kind where you just watch some drama?
If it is teaching then they are not unless they maybe show that Sona finally wakes up to the mess she made of her life and Dev realizes he messed up but now has lost Sona..the reality which happens in situations like this

If it is aimless entertainment then they will show Sona forgive Dev , Dev remorse , and Easwari change for the better

So what is this show is a million dollar question? As I see it they cannot at this juncture claim to teach and entertain at the same time as that ship seemed to have sailed

Its again God vs the rest..coz Bijoy was talking to Ish thts why we saw Dev's dynamism towards Bijoy n not Gkb but now tht Sona left..his anger wud fall on Gkb as he only reacts wen threatened by the fact that he wud b separated from Sona. He just wants to keep her with him...her respect, live doesn't matter.

A positive outlook...I feel Gkb wud b out of Dixit mansion soon..Dev didn't shout at her or stopped her from insulting Bose but aftermath of this wud be Dev blaming Gkb not Ish for all this.

P.S. But why do u expect tht people watch such shows to learn smthing...this is just pure masala entertainment n we need to accept this fact.

You really think GKB would be out? The moment mamaji comes back, Dev will be reminded of what mamaji did for his family and he will forgive RR by default. 😕

The reason why I said stuff about the show setting a bad example is due to the kind of promotion they give KRPKAB...that it is very realistic...that it emulates society.

Just like art imitates life, life also imitates art. The slap scene therefore sets a poor example where in one can always find excuses for getting physically agreesivve. I feel it was a scene that was uncalled for. I believe strong writing doesnt need gimmicks.

I think we should watch whole track further before reacting to last 5 min scenes
The show never show anything wrong...they clarify most tmof scene in future episode... So wait for it.

Rahul, Its been 100 episodes since breakup...and we can barely count the number of changes in Dev on the fingers of a single hand. Forget redemption...I want to see some progress in his character graph.

I didn't realize that slapping an older and weaker man is acceptable coz its accidental. Dev was angry..he was aggressive...and the slap happened due to that.

And why should we blame Shaheer? He is a wonderful actor who gives his best to every scene he is given. I blame the writers not the actors who have little to no control over the plot.

There is something called life imitating art...and hence human psychology and human relationship dynamics are more often than not affected by what one sees in their surroundings and unconsciously emulates.

I am not worried for myself...but for the impressionable minds. To me, this is a a show that I am currently vested in and when I have had enough, I have the wherewithal to walk away and not look back. However, there are many young women/men who do watch this show and believe it or not they get influenced. Just like they crave the kind of romance Dev sonakshi share, they will also worry about marrying into a joint family or marrying a guy who shares a close bond with his mother or may worry more than necessary about being accepted into in-laws places.

Life and art imitate each other. Which influences the other becomes difficult to segregate at times.

I guess you are right...this whole thing should be viewed as mass masala...coz we cannot term the slap scene between dev and Bijoy as classy.

This show has such potential but every track leaves so much to be desired.

The only reason I was talking about teaching is coz the makers time and again talk about the realistic nature of this show and they leave no stone untunred in marketing it that way. They go all out to say that it isn't an Indian tele's typical saas bahu show.

Therefore, shouldn't someone show them the mirror and ask if this (slapgate) is the reality they have experienced or want to teach the world?

Most of the scenes/events shown now have a similar scene/event in the previous episodes. When I watched the Thursday and Friday episodes, they reminded me of the episodes just before the breakup and the actual breakup scene when Dev said I am sorry and Sonakshi said no I am sorry.

This slap reminds me of the scene where maamiji pours water in kitchen and asks Sonakshi to mop it referring her as kind of "naukrani". In that scene maamiji insults Sonakshi by comparing her to servant when she is a doctor. At that time too gkb creates a very big drama. Dev does not really apologize to Sonakshi directly but sends flowers thru Kuching bhaiyya. Dev at that time actually apologizes to gkb and she demands a car for Vickky at that time.

Gkb then creates more drama leading to Sonakshi leaving the job. After coming to know the truth from Nikki, Dev talks to Ishwari and shows what Sonakshi has done and also what Ishwari has done in her anger. Only then Ishwari too sees and acknowledges the truth. After the cafe waiting and Sonakshi accepting the job again, when Dev tells Sonakshi will come back, gkb is not happy again. She tries to say Sonakshi is coming back for money and does not have respect. That is when Dev says "aap use bura bhala kehkar mujhe neecha mat dikhaayiyega". Maamaji then comes and apologizes for gkb and that effectively closes gkbs mouth at that time.

Coming to the episodes now, I think the scenes shown will be similar. Sonakshi will leave the house. Dev will try to apologize but fail initially. Dev will also come to know the truth from Elena. He will try to convince Sonakshi and Bijoy. Probably divorce drama will happen bringing forth the prenup. Dev will then confront his mom m and show her the result of her insecurities and actions. Ishwari will realize and she probably will ask Dev to bring Sonakshi back. After lot of pleading Sonakshi may agree to come back. Knowing this gkb might again say Sonakshi is coming back for money. My guess is Dev might toll gkb not to insult Sonakshi as her respect is his respect and he does not like anyone disrespecting him. This is the only way he can effectively close gkbs mouth. Ishwari will not listen to gkb either at that point.

In the initial episode, gkb slapped Sonakshi indirectly by referring her to servant. It was a slap on Sonakshi and her profession. Sonakshi felt bad but did not dwell on it. But this time the slap is physical and Sonakshi is very hurt. She will not accept anything less than Dev begging and pleading and bending over backwards to apologize to Bijoy. Only if Bijoy is pacified will Sonakshi agree to talk or listen to Dev.

The prediction is just my pov and not intended to hurt anyone. But I feel like I am watching the rerun of initial episodes/scenes, may not be each and everyone of them. But the important ones, the significant ones.

End of the day it's a show that's meant to entertain & also make money. As far as the entertainment goes it has been stuck in a rut for sometime. I am happy the slap happened (though I would have preferred a push &fall instead). Now hopefully the story can move ahead.

Also it is very idealistic to have certain expectations from the story & characters. It is their story to tell whether we like it or not. Like all marketing the intitial marketing was to pull the viewers in & they did it pretty successfully for the first 100-150 episodes.

Finally I don't think this or any other serial is meant to teach the world anything. I'm sorry of people think that it should. We are being naive if we have any such expectations from desi serials. But one thing I can definitely say is this is way better than most of the other stuff shown on tv
