I see Dev doesn't hesitate to tell Bijoy to stop yelling and screaming but he never does so with Radha rani? What are the CVs tying to say? That it is okay to raise your voice against your in-laws but not against the elders in your own family?
What were they trying to illustrate through the slap? That it is pardonable because it happened accidentally?
That Dixits can call Bose family a family of theives. And Dev has nothing to say to that voluntarily and the way Sona reacts...not in acrimony but by asking RR what she was talking about? Doesn't she know that her family is honourable and doesn't need validation from the likes of RR? Sona's reaction made me cringe. Are the CVs trying to teach that girls need to tread carefully with her in-laws even as they insult your parents in the most atrocious manner? And then when Dev tries to stall her saying its an accident, She says that needs to go for now, coz Bijoy is her father. Really? the girl's father was just slapped and her reaction was just about just about lukewarm..what was that?
Is this what this show has boiled down to? To me, this slap gate was absolutely uncalled for. They didn't need to push Dev down that drain. IMO, the new writer needs to be sacked. This is not the KRPKAB that once was simple elegant and contemporary in its story telling. That KRPKAB was swallowed by this mammoth saas bahu saga where the son never ever gets it right. The CVs relentlessly sacrifice Dev and never ever redeem him, Sona is portrayed as wishy washy and Ish is simply unbearable to watch. Period.
