This slap reminds me of the scene where maamiji pours water in kitchen and asks Sonakshi to mop it referring her as kind of "naukrani". In that scene maamiji insults Sonakshi by comparing her to servant when she is a doctor. At that time too gkb creates a very big drama. Dev does not really apologize to Sonakshi directly but sends flowers thru Kuching bhaiyya. Dev at that time actually apologizes to gkb and she demands a car for Vickky at that time.

Gkb then creates more drama leading to Sonakshi leaving the job. After coming to know the truth from Nikki, Dev talks to Ishwari and shows what Sonakshi has done and also what Ishwari has done in her anger. Only then Ishwari too sees and acknowledges the truth. After the cafe waiting and Sonakshi accepting the job again, when Dev tells Sonakshi will come back, gkb is not happy again. She tries to say Sonakshi is coming back for money and does not have respect. That is when Dev says "aap use bura bhala kehkar mujhe neecha mat dikhaayiyega". Maamaji then comes and apologizes for gkb and that effectively closes gkbs mouth at that time.

Coming to the episodes now, I think the scenes shown will be similar. Sonakshi will leave the house. Dev will try to apologize but fail initially. Dev will also come to know the truth from Elena. He will try to convince Sonakshi and Bijoy. Probably divorce drama will happen bringing forth the prenup. Dev will then confront his mom m and show her the result of her insecurities and actions. Ishwari will realize and she probably will ask Dev to bring Sonakshi back. After lot of pleading Sonakshi may agree to come back. Knowing this gkb might again say Sonakshi is coming back for money. My guess is Dev might toll gkb not to insult Sonakshi as her respect is his respect and he does not like anyone disrespecting him. This is the only way he can effectively close gkbs mouth. Ishwari will not listen to gkb either at that point.

In the initial episode, gkb slapped Sonakshi indirectly by referring her to servant. It was a slap on Sonakshi and her profession. Sonakshi felt bad but did not dwell on it. But this time the slap is physical and Sonakshi is very hurt. She will not accept anything less than Dev begging and pleading and bending over backwards to apologize to Bijoy. Only if Bijoy is pacified will Sonakshi agree to talk or listen to Dev.

The prediction is just my pov and not intended to hurt anyone. But I feel like I am watching the rerun of initial episodes/scenes, may not be each and everyone of them. But the important ones, the significant ones.

I totally agree with you that the story is on the rerun mode, Shaavi and the story may very well move in the direction you pointed. In fact it would be pretty great if it went the way you showed.

However, I do think GKB's truth revelation wherein her truth about burning the house down will come out and that is what will ultimately change things for her. As of now, I don't know how much Dev will say to her.

You know the strangest thing for me is...over the last few episodes, Dev has been raising his voice against Bijoy ... but he doesn't do the same even when RR is burning down his house (figuratively).

Also, let us look at the scenes tand execution of the story tracks that are a rerun from the earlier times...such simplistic beauty in the earlier episodes and such OTT drama in the current tracks and I feel that is what is ailing KRPKAB these days.

We love the show and that is what is keeping us here and I believe the makers have some responsibility for retaining us by giving us content that made us fall in love with the show to begin with.

I blame the writers for the way Dev is being written and I believe they are absolutely confused about the way they present him.

This is what I have been saying the entire week...they make him perform an act that is despicable, yet they want to portray him as the innocent party in the matter, thus making his characterisation a muddled one.

Also it is very idealistic to have certain expectations from the story & characters. It is their story to tell whether we like it or not. Like all marketing the intitial marketing was to pull the viewers in & they did it pretty successfully for the first 100-150 episodes.

Finally I don't think this or any other serial is meant to teach the world anything. I'm sorry of people think that it should. We are being naive if we have any such expectations from desi serials. But one thing I can definitely say is this is way better than most of the other stuff shown on tv

Yes, I agree with you. I shouldn't have gotten pulled into a Desi serial. It is completely my bad 😆

I did it with only one other serial before and I remember staying with only for the protagonists and same is happening here. If I am here, its to see how Devakshi will stay together and emerge stronger despite Ishwari. But I must say I am being tested to the limits as I continue to wait and wait and wait some more for Dev to begin his growth journey.

But I guess we will have to agree to disagree that arts do not teach people. I am a strong believer in life imitating art and art imitating life.

How often do we talk about the many things that happen to us in real life which are shown in this show? And when we do that...doesn't it connect us that much more to the show? That is art imitating life and it connects the viewer to the show. Similarly life imitates art too. Do you know that Yash Chopra is considered to be the love guru for Indians...as he taught them how to love? An Amitabh Bachchan smoking onscreen was considered coolest and hence smoking became the coolest habit and that is how international tobacco industry made major inroads into Indian market.

YEs, I am naive to believe that the makers should show some responsibility but I don't think I'mnaive in thinking that entertainment content influences the general public who views it. At times, it has left a lasting and great impact and at times, it leads to disastrous situations. That is the power of cinema/entertainment.

I didn't say people don't get influenced by art esp cinema or tv serials. But bottomline is that at least most of media is catering to only what people want to see. Most of the high trp serials have such ridiculous storylines people like us wonder how anyone can even watch that.

End of the day it is business for them just like for every dangal you will have a befikre or some such trashy movie.

When I go to India I see so many people including kids hooked on to shows like crime patrol which from the little I saw deals with rape, incest, cheating husbands or wives etc. it is disturbing but is shown prime time.
