Agreed. This episode aggravated me so much that I had to write a post even though I had stopped making daily post since end of last year.

A woman watches her family being called names and after hearing all of that, she in very weak voice protests.

While a man rushes to his mother and even slightest frown on her forehead makes him tremble in the exclusion of everyone else's concern.

Is this how a woman's family should be treated? And if this is, then why would anyone want a girl child? Why won't people only ask for boy child?

Sad reality. At least we can give a score to Dev for this. Sona with her 0 decibel voice wins the worst daughter of the year award 🤢.

This is why I wonder when movies like Piku becomes a success in India. How ? The contrast is appalling !! Whoever Male Chauvinist Pig the current writer is - *&^%(&%*&%*$*^% to him. 🤬

Unfortunate reality of India. Everyone wants daughter like Piku (who is responsible and caring to her family), but no one wants daughter-in-law like Piku (for the exact same reason)...

Lol... Sabita, you hit the nail on the head.

So to sum it up (Pehchaan.Kaun, remember we talked about this last Friday when we met),

1. When you see something great happening like a woman winning a medal in a male-dominated field and you praise her, you are positive. Why? Positive things happening, positive reaction given.

2. When you see something great happening like a woman winning a medal in a male-dominated field and you pick on her, you are negative. Why? Positive things happening, negative reaction given.

3. When you hear about an incident like Bangaluru incident where women were molested in public street and you praise the act or try to justify it like Abu Azmi, are you positive or negative for giving a positive reaction? Would you call that man positive? I'd say you are being negative for giving positive reaction to a negative act.

4. When you hear about an incident like Bangaluru incident where women were molested in public street and you strongly condemn the act, are you positive or negative for giving a negative reaction? Would you call Akshay Kumar who openly criticised the act and Abu Azmi is a negative man? I'd say you are being positive for giving negative reaction to a negative act.

So actually in all cases, two negatives makes a positive and one positive and negative makes a negative.

Feel free to explain if I am wrong.

Yes Tia I remember that. And I am bewildered to see CV daring to show a Devakshi 'hot' (?) romance and the slap in the same episode. Sona forgetting all her complaints because she received sex from her husband is - *runs to find a bathroom to puke* 🤢 Is this how Sonakshi Bose was ?

Since childhood, there is only 1 thing I kept following - never do something which you would feel ashamed to confess to your parents or to tell your kids stories about it. This keeps me on the right track everytime I tend to do something out of my character. And I really thought Sonakshi, being the proud independent woman, takes a new step in Indian television as an example of independent woman. I know today's women don't feel ashamed to admit they enjoy sex, but THIS much ? 😕 She wanted to hug Ishu for 'allowing' her to have a call-free sex night ? CV are you freaking kidding me 😕

The sad music in the background when Ishu sat down, Bijoy Bose's defensive statements against GKB's verbal diarrhea became the second track in the background. 😕 Her murmuring-shit played in the centre.

Dev and Ishwari are SOOO self-consumed and overtly sold by now, I feel like smashing my laptop when they show such scenes. 🤢 Businessman my foot, he has a brain of not even a mouse. 🥱

One more thing which kept bothering me is - Ishwari's sentence that this is not right to take Dev's money. Why on EARTH !! My husband pays for my sister's college fees (a lump sum in India) almost half the times 🥱. I have to literally TRACK in Splitwise to pay him back for that, but he won't care. Neither he informs his mother about it. I totally don't understand this MCP concept of the CV 🤢.

Is the writer of the show married ? I feel sad for his wife. 🤢

P.S. - Tia sorry for hijacking your post, just now watched the episode and please bear with my frustration, would take time to become normal. How can a serial show a SIL SLAPPING his FIL (who is morally right btw) ?? I am unable to digest. My Kasautii was better yaar I feel cheated 🤢

The root cause of all problems is Dev. I don't blame Ishwari completely for what happened. If the case was reverse, the boy was from a poor background, the girl without informing her parents gives money to the boys brother or anyone in the family wouldn't the girls family think that the boy was after her money. Trust takes sometime to build and dev's every action is breaking that same trust and not letting any bond to develop between his wife and mother. It is a saying money destroys even the closest of relations. And here that relation was new, both the families was not rosy. Secondly for some who were saying would Dev inform all business deals with his mother, no but was any of them with close family members like uncle, aunt, brother No isn't it. It was his actions of lying to his mother or wife, not communicating. All his actions like not informing his mother that he would be going to his in laws and stay there, not informing her that his wife was waiting for him and he would go fetch her, hiding the truth of pregnancy report or Sona's medical condition, hiding that he helped Sona's brother financially have only fuelled the suspicion and insecurity in his mother and since all this happened was after Sona coming into his life he has mad Sona appear the culprit. He is neither a good son nor a good husband and I think it is a good lesson for all of us and esp. who are newly married it is much better be open and improve your communication skills and be truthful

Come on guys aren't you being too hard on Dev Dixit he is just a flawed character so close to reality that we are not able to see it for the path breaking Tv they are showing us. And I really take offense at you all telling it is all his fault after all Sona too has flaws and Bijoy too because he does not know to be respectful to his Sil and he needs to realize when Dev can lose his temper and act accordingly and as far as Sona she did get an uninterrupted night of you know what out of this how can she not hug Easwari.
So being a mother figure to you guys I am getting on the podium and giving this free gyaan 😆 and telling you guys to seriously get with the program...let me just stop 🤣

I know, right? Good for your husband. Now that's the proof that son-in-law can be the son of his in-laws just like daughter-in-law can be the daughter of her in-laws. Taali kabhi ek haath se nehin bajti, ek haath se sirf chaata bajta hain aur woh bhi jo ek tarfa understanding dikhata ya dikhati rahe us ke gaal pe.

Aaj to woh proof bhi ho gaya. Aaj doosri baar Sonakshi ke iss nalayak husband ki wajah se uske family ko insult hona pada. Kaisi ladki hain yaar yeh? Apni koi respect to hain nehin. Kam se kam apni family ki to respect karo.

I totally understand your frustration.

I am married to a Canadian man who left his parents' home at 18 years old and since then he has lived on his own. But when I said that I want to bring my mother to Canada and take her full responsibility, he said if that's important to me, it's important to him.

And you know what my in-laws said to that? Nothing. Because it's not their concern if their son chooses to live with his mother-in-law. In fact my mom-in-law said that when my mother comes here, we can go on a family vacation together.

That level of comfort comes when in-laws don't treat their children's spouse like an outsider and their family different from their own family. My father-in-law also took care of his own mother-in-law (my grandmother-in-law). That's what makes a family.

The Dixits are just pure toxic unsuitable for any relationship.

Absolutely agreed. I have said it in my previous post that if a husband ties his respect with his wife's respect and his honour with his wife's honour, even an in-law like Radha can't insult her daughter-in-law because no one wants to insult their own children. So everything Sonakshi had to endure was all Dev's fault because he let it happen. Ishwari, Radha, Dadi Bua, Neha may have stripped Sona's confidence in herself and her marital relationship, but the weapon was handed to them by Dev with his constant silence.
