Inconsistency or effort at pacification?

The night before, Dev tells Sona that he cannot see her cry as her tears hurt his heart. And this morning her tears don't give him a pause.

What does it mean?

I have a very strong hunch that the scene between Dev and Sona (in red nightdress) was shot to pacify us, the viewers and it was shot after Erica returned from Xmas break while the rest of the scenes were canned before she left. When the fandom blew up on Sona's reaction to non-pregnancy and infertility news wherein she was completely obsessed with Ishwari's feelings and reactions rather than what a would-be mother would feel or a woman who can never have a child feels, the makers decided to rectify some damage but in the larger picture...how can the one scene salvage bad writing? How can a bandaid stem gushing blood from a deep wound?

So, that beautiful scene between Devakshi was an afterthought and hence the disconnect between what Dev says to Sona the night before and Dev does this morning where Ma-Bhakt Dev is only concerned for his mother and has no time for Sona's tears...

Therefore, I have a question for CVs...do Sona's tears really hurt Dev or was that scene/dialogue meant to pacify the fandom? If he meant it...why the inconsistency in Dev? This is such poor writing. Or has someone amongst you (CVs) ever met a man who simply never ever means anything he says even in the direst of situations?

I guess, I should be really thankful that I know no such people like Dev in real life.

P.S - I came to the conclusion because segments with Erica in white/Yellow dress and the temple segments with Erica were released pre-chirtsmas. But her red dress shoot clearly took place on the same day they received Best Jodi award and it was few days after christmas and by then the infertility episodes began airing and the feedback was bad due to Sona's obvious emotional disconnect with the baby and her only mantra was about her relationship with Ishwari.

Dev just looses his senses when his mom is involved 😕 I wish I never meet such a guy in real life 😕 This is fiction and Sharica are beautiful so we root for them , in reality one would run away from this mess. The scenes are shot well before so I don't think it was to pacify the viewers because Friday's episode had a good flow.

Seriously a big disconnect with Dev today...if this is d real Dev we saw today...then how can we go back n enjoy the intense beautiful Devakshi scene of friday again. Tht was d only scene worth watching in the entire last week.
Maybe tomm we wud see Dev apologising to Sona abt it n Sona wud understand n all forgiven n forgotten again.

Dev has to shutup people like Gkb again n again. How can he let Gkb insult Sona when it was all his mistake. He knows if he shouts...Gkb wud stop d rant atleast for sometime.

Some people on twitter did point out tht they got award in same dress as night sceme n sbs segment of temple scene was shot before tht but nothing confirmed as we dnt know for sure when these segments are shot exactly.

you have pointed out valid point .there is reason Cv's have stopped giving us spoilers that much. right now we don't know what will be happening next. i have feeling they conveniently mould characters and situation according to viewer reactions , i suddenly felt weird how asha and saurabh suddenly started doing jaap about how mahaan their damad is, instead worrying how currently their daughter must be feeling.
Frankly it shows lack of trust they have in their story.

Also i dont know whether it's me only but when dev had planned doing treatment without sona's consent .that episode aired on friday .fans also started uproar about this. and on monday suddenly we have scene about how doctor refused to do any treatment .😕 sab locha hain

Well I think otherwise they need to have episode bank as Shaheer leaves for week for his other projects so ofcourse they must be thinking of the plot well before. The inconsistency in Dev's character has been for the longest time he is like a stepchild to the CV's 😆 No hopes from him 😕

I haven't watched the episode but just reading the reaction I am tempted to watch them together tomorrow.
Tell you one more thing. On Friday when sona woke up, her mangalsutra was missing. It may have been an after thought

I think red night dress scene is to pacify audience. After watching today's episode that devakshi scene looks odd. Does not go with flow.

It makes sense...Given the timeline of various segments and the fandom's reactions...the scene was clearly shot to make it better and the beautiful scene not only saved the day but a terrible week in the end.
The makers should therefore understand that a sensible communicative Devakshi can make a huge difference to the storyline rather than shoving Ishwari's redundant take on family and relationships down our throats.

But no...we are back on the terrible path and I for one am rooting for a quick separation, divorce drama that will reveal the prenup. And if Dev still stands by his mother...then he deserves to live happily Unhappily ever after with his mother...the woman she chooses as the mother of his child and who knows a bundle of children Ishwari craves 😆

Aapne ekdum sahi pakad liya hai. That scene was to pacify audience only becoz sona was only worried about ishu and that had disappointed all around among fans.
Also this also always happens that when it comes to ishwari dev tends to forget everything and everyone even right and wrong. So CVS figured that they will go in the same flow. But biggest question is when will it change????? And will it????
