What she asked Dev is totally right, for how long could Dev hide the medical conditions? shaayad, ek mahina, ya phir ek saal, what next when the truth comes out?

Aise tode hi hota hai, ki aap ke maa /papa/daadi/ bhai/behen to naana/naani, daada/dadi , paradadi/pardada ya phi bua, mausi etc banne ki chaahat hai is liye aap unke liye ek baby making machine ban jayenge.Yahaan pe in done ke irayade hi nahi they maa-papa banneki. ek ulti hogayi, sir chakragaya to conveniently poora kahaandan ( dono taraf ki) yeh maan ke baith gaya ki sona pet se hai. Bechara Dev, use mauka kaha mila ki woh parenthood ke baare mein sona se koi baath kar sake.

Dev knowing the truth before marriage and not telling Sona about it does not make any difference to me. Like he said, her being able to conceive or not should not define their relationship.

let's assume Sona knew about her medical condition before marriage, what will she do? will she stop from marrying Dev just because she cannot produce the heir? will she still wait for Ishwari to accept that fact then approve their relationship? or will she try to get treated first before she agrees to marry Dev or will she be so understanding and wallowed in self pity that she will ask Dev to forget her and marry someone of his mother's choice?

To all those who are saying the Dev should have told Sona before marriage, does it mean that we are accepting the fact that their Relationship has to be defined by the fertility of Sona?

To me what Dev did is right, a thing that does not define a relationship should not be discussed.

If there ever was a situation where Sona herself wanted to have a baby and if she would have started discussing with Dev, then he would have broken the news to her, like what he did today.

when she said, she is ready to have kids ( no matter how silly her reasons may be or whatever be the circumstances) he came clean with her medical condition. Even today he could have hid the real fact from her, waited until the storm cools off and then rattled the truth, if he was really deceitful. he could have let her live in her own bubble.

Telling lies and hiding facts are two different things.

Lie is something we say deliberately, like he lied to Sona that she is pregnant and the report is positive.

He hid the fact that she cannot conceive or there is only 7 % chances.

At the outset both of these look to be the same, but there is whole world of difference between the two.

Take example of Tushar Kapoor he had kid via surrogate mother.He is not married.Sushmita Sen is a single mom of Two daughter.She adopted them.Even Sona can do the same.If she wants she can adopt kid .Dev N Sona can go for surrogacy also.If they want to become parents n not to make Ish happy.
