Today is story time.
Those who follow my posts might remember the story of the spider and Robinson Crusoe I told.
How Crusoe learned the value of hard work by watching the spider try over and over again until it succeeded.
Today's story is about futile effort which is exact opposite of the previous story.
Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved a girl. The girl rejected him saying when pigs fly, she will marry him.
So everyday, he'd put a mattress under a tree and and push a pig from the tree trying to make it fly. But every day his effort failed... He cursed the pig, God, fate but didn't give up.
One day the girl he loved got married to someone else while he was still trying to make the pig fly.
He was sitting heartbroken when the girl came there.
The boy asked her, "I am a good person. I don't harm anyone. Why didn't God made the pig fly for me? I tried so hard. I tried to fulfil your dreams but instead lost you."
The girl laughed, "I gave you an impossible task to see how smart you are. But you proved my decision right for rejecting you. You worked like a donkey who does repeatedly the same task whose result is failure without changing the process. What you should have done is used the same effort to come up with alternative way to achieve the goal. For example, had you put your effort in say, building a balloon to put the pig on it, you'd have been successful long time ago. I told you to make a pig fly, not how to make the pig fly."
So the moral of the story is, "If taking one approach doesn't get the job done, try another. Don't keep on repeating the same process and expect to be successful in the next attempt."
If lying got you into trouble, don't compound the problem by keep on lying over and over. Instead tell the truth and face the consequences. It's easier to forgive a lier who confesses and feels guilty about lying than one who gets caught.
EPISODE UPDATE:
Sonakshi is officially at Dev's place now (not sure if it will last). Ishwari only stands up against Radha for any decision of Dev. Today she did it for Sonakshi.
Dev got thrown out of the house for shouting at Sona.
What I am sad to see is that even if Ishwari truly loves Sonakshi now, Dev had to fall low for her to love the girl who did so much effort to impress her. Sonakshi's efforts were all in vain when all she had to do was to get pregnant and Dev had to turn into an a$$.
Vicky went through massive change since marriage. Before marriage he behaved as if he owned Dev and Sonakshi. Now, whether the influence of Elena or not, he is standing up for the people who supported them through tough times and showing loyalty. I am super impressed.
He also pointed out what his mother do is not right which he never noticed nor cared before and only Mamaji used to point it out.
Neha is fully into "It's all about Me" game now. She is not concerned for Riya's happiness any more. But more concerned with her mother supporting Sonakshi.
While what she is doing is wrong. But I can't blame her completely because she probably thought after Dev, she'd be pampered by her mom as she was promised. Now Sona is in her place as she perceives so she hates Sona now and wants to bring her down any way she can. If the spoiler is right and she finds out about infertility, she will use it like a weapon against Sonakshi. But I think it will backfire because the aim of that report is not facing Sona anymore since she doesn't know, but against Dev.
P.S. My exam is in the morning tomorrow. So not available until noon.
