It is not because his acting is not good but when you look at all the main leads their characters were all strong aggressive defiant characters...but shaheer sheik aka dev was not aggressive and that is probably why...I still think it is harder to pull of the character of dev than the aggressiveness of shivaay Harman sanskar etc...even when dev gets aggressive it is like a normal argument between two people... Dev has never gotten physically aggressive... I think some viewers like that type of behavior shown in shivaay and the rest but if we had to choose in real life we would dev because he is easier to manage than shivaay and the rest...dev character has very little passion but more love but what the creators use to bring shivaay passion was his aggressiveness... Yes fictionally we like character like this but the creators of dev took a different approach making a real character rather than fictitious character... So it did not get him male actor of the year but what it did was made the show the best show of the year which says a lot...because every character in that show is not a regular serial character...they are different and they have set a new trend...u don't have to be dramatic to have a good show you just try to keep it as real as possible...even though I have seen all the shows nominated the only one I was hooked on was kuch rang...and all the characters that make this show...
