We have seen her being dominative, manipulative and cunning. only this week cvs have taken u-turn in her character, which is not so relatable. All the 8 months in the name of mother love, she is been continuously punishing Dev and making him to take extreme action which made us to think and opine about Dev as spineless.

As per segment today again she is going to take Dev in guilt trip and make him cry. Dev is a bigger victim than sonakshi. I don't think I will ever forgive such character.

We have seen her insecurity level which is not for sons love. she is insecured more than that. She never had problem with sona. .It is only Dev and sona came between them. It is hard for me to accept positive Eshwari in 3 -4 episode

In 8 months...u may have seen manipulative or possessive mother but.u have seen also good mother and nice womam when she doesn't feel insecure... U also seen her to think good about sona or defended her from gkb when ishwari is in normal conditions.
But these changes u only observed when she is not in insecure mode.
That's why am saying, she have two different personality.

Agree with you Rahul. It was a very good analytical post. Since yesterday most of them unanimously declared that Iswari Is not really sorry but pretending to be. Different posts were made on how Iswari could not enjoy seeing Dev and Sona together, how she purposely planned everything,so on and so forth. Wanted to make a post on that but stopped myself as I realised how much change CVs show in Iswari's behaviour still people take delight in calling her manipulative scheming etc.

Thank you very much for posting this. I genuinely believe yesterday Iswari may be insecure as you said but not guilty of scheming and planning against Sona. Thanks again.

No need to thank... 😊 Am glad some people r agree with my post

the Problem with ishwari is - she knows exactly what is right and what is wrong... but when it comes to Dev and her insecurity and possessiveness towards him ... She fails to stick to what is right and does somethign that ends up hurting herself, Dev and Sona .

In yesterday's episode, i believe initially she was a bit guilty as she ruined Dev's plan ,,, then she was surprised at sona's goodness and then in the end she got insecure that Sona's goodness will pull dev towards sona and away from Ishwari.

If you hear the dialogues when she wanted to talk to sona alone... they were all double meaning...ek party kya hua .. saare cheezein idhar udhar hogaye hai (meaning one party changed the way dev feels about sona ... and sees how understanding she is etc)... Kal poora din lagega sab kuch apni apni jagah pe rakhneko -- again it is like saying she would do something next day which will get her position back to where it was ... Sirf mujhe pata hai kounsi cheez kaha pe honi chahiye ( again she is talking about herself and Sona's position in devs life).

The dialogue writers are amazing - the way they show these subtle conflicts with powerful dialogues.

again .. Ishwari will be all goody goody when sona is knocked down and will be extremly nice to her... the moment dev starts showing affection towards sona or her family, ishwari will regress and starts to showing off her insecurity and does somethign that will pull dev back... this is a vicious cycle.

Ishwari can not be on path to redemption until Dev is fully redeemed. until then Ishwari will continue to show confusing sides ... Dev's redemption path probably started with yesterdays episode... if sona stands up for herrself and her family ... dev will stay on the path.. and can be eventually redeemed..

there is one thing that i am confused about.. after seeing all the past episodes.. why does Dev become tongue tied in front of Ishwari? what is it that this business tycoon behaves like a nincompoop in front of his mom and for any matter that concerns his own self?

For all others, including Ishwari, he is a roaring lion and appears to be "the man", but when it comes to himself, in front of Ishwari, he is the whimp!!!..

Just because he give more respect to her mother
That's why he never suspect or questions her which is good to see as son but sometimes it questions ur personality in front of others

Yes.. Dev becomes tongue tied infront of Ishwari... whether it is to standup for himself or his sisters or his wife now. He is free to talk as long as it is about anything that involves ishwari and her interest.

There were some scenes where they have shown why he is behaving this way...
8 yrs dev - when he was playing cricket ... ishwari dropped a vase purposefully, so that the owner slapped her and she made sure Dev saw this..after this Dev stopped playing Cricket and all his life till now, he concentrated only on making his family's future secure.
Ishwari follows very strict means to bring Dev back on track (track that she wants-not necessarily the right path) everytime he wanders.. this has started in his childhood and is still happening.

When Dev was trying to tell ishwari about his love for Sona -- he said i dont want to upset you by falling short of your expectations..you can see how scared he is to even confess his love for sona infront of his mom. Till now i have never seen ishwari saying nice words or express happiness when Dev did something for himself alone ... she is always happy when he makes more wealth or does something for her or their immediate family as long as it doest conflict his love for ishwari etc...

anything he says something about his own happiness, she will use it against him and take him on guilt trip.

you know what police say when they are arresting a convict " you have a right to remain silent... everything you say now will be used against you in the court "
same applies to Ishwari ... "Dev has an option to remain silent.. but if he opens his mouth and says somethign that is not along the lines of ishwari's wishes then his own words will be used against him to make him guilty"...

That is some analysis you have there. Thankyou for clearing some of my confusions with the show. This also means Ishwari has never loved Dev for being her son ? She never treats Dev has her son just a means to fulfil her requirements ? How come Dev never lost himself with such a treatment ?
Humans do have the ability between judging such stuff.
Ishwari herself is a complicated character and her relation with - Dev is also if not more equally complicated.

Sona shines with the light of the Sun. Ishwari is scared that her candlelight will not get its due. She needs to realise that there is a different time for both and both have their own importance.
A child always turns to his mother for all his needs. This is the natural process. As kids grow up they pick up the capacity to attend to their own needs and their dependence on their parents is more for advice and guidance.

When a man gets married, I am focusing on the husband because Sona gets this. Once married, he needs to honour his promise to his wife the foremost of which being he will put her needs first before all else and vice versa. As a responsible husband he needs to do things for himself and turn to his mother when the counsel of his wife isn't there.
