What not he will have that calls for his presence and I am sure Dev belongs to that category .

How could you even think to ask him do such things like have you lost your sensibility?
You want him to iron his clothes and burn his hand?
Many people thought that Sonakshi just asked him to arrange the ironed clothes. It is not true.

The way Dev still felt bad for his lie shows how noble he is and how much he love her.
Dev Dikshit who can opt for another shirt went to his mother and got his work done. How scared he is of Sonakshi that shows us.I pity you Dev, Kaha phas Gaya tu.

The way Sona argued certainly shows how adamant she is to make Dev do her wish.
She says Dev should have told her in the begining itself rather than going to his mother.
Dev should have made it clear even I feel but I am not sure Sonakshi will leave it there.

On one hand she says he should be independent. On the other hand she says he should not call his mother but if he asked she would have helped. I feel she is not sure what she wants from him.
If she wants him to do such things she should have understood he can not do
If her problem is with Iswari then she herself should have done his work.

Sorry Dev your mornings are getting spoiled by your too intelligent wife and you have to leave for work with a disturbed mind.
There are many posts saying Dev doesn't deserve Sona but I say Sonakshi doesn't deserve ,the noble, good at heart and lovable Dev Dikshit.

I totally agree with u! Sona going nuts .. she can't be right always
The problem is sona don't have major issues in life except taunting GKB
She don't have money problem... hubby is very caring ... yes agreed he's mama's boy but that's not a major issue so she has all time in the world to dictate Dev to follow her wAy ..,
The thing is Ishwari or Dev not expecting any thing out of sona to change .. that's the only issue sona having

hi,

whether the post was meant in a sarcastic way or for a dig at sona , to me both are at fault.
It dont see this as a mere task and dev lying to her when he could not accomplish it. It is more deeper.

1. sona wants to create something that is unique to both of them, where only they have a privy to . he was dependent on his mom, and for the sake of his wife, learned to become independent. Sona gave him the objective/target but not the means and also she did not reveal the "real intentions" what propelled her to set this objective for him.

2. Dev he neither knows the "REAL OBJECTIVE" nor the means. as we all know dev only goes by what is told to him. he can never read in between the lines in any relationship. he is a total mess at handling them. he only knows he need to reach the objective, so yeah as always he does what ever it takes to reach it . that's been his motto in life right,?

these situations are the direct outcomes of the "missing conversations " . simple things like arranging a cupboard can teach how trivial things can also have a great impact on a relation if there is no proper communication.

Had sona told dev that she wants to create "memories" and dev becoming independent is the first step, i am pretty sure that Dev would have taken it more seriously and learnt it by now. :-)

same goes with Dev, had he approached sona when he first tumbled and had come clean with it, she would have been more than willing to teach him, infact she would have prided herself for this opportunity.

Well written dear. Can't agree more. Open communication was the highlight of Dev n Sona. Both have started hiding things and stopped communicating. They are allowing third party interference in their relationship which is big no. Looks like they need reminder on what they mean to each other.

@BOLD. The arranging of cupboard was exactly that and nothing else. Sonakshi never wanted Dev to iron his clothes or arrange them in the cupboard. All she wanted was Dev to ask Sonakshi for those things and not his mom. She wanted him to come to her. She wanted to feel that Dev needed her too. That he remembered her.

Sonakshi wanted to Dev to feel this and did not want to have to spell it out for him. She wants him to give her place as his wife, to mean something to him and she wants Dev to show it to her without her having to tell that directly to him.

Till date Sonakshi has surprised Dev with resort date, with the scooty ride and coffee date, now the birthday date, but Dev has not done anything special to Sona nor has he made any effort for her to feel like he values her in his life anymore.

Every one likes to feel wanted/needed. It is not just with a spouse. It with every relationship, be it siblings or parents and child or even friends. And this is what Sonakshi is looking for.

I respect people's view and usually think there are 2 sides to a coin and every story has 2 side, etc.. The point is I respect your view on how you might think Sonakshi is forcing her views and ideas on Dev and how that is unreasonable.

What I am writing here is to help you clear your misconception that just because he is a business tycoon ironing his clothes or organising his clothes would demean him. Perhaps the world you are in and the exposure you have had is much smaller than mine.
I come from a family where all children were made to do our clothes and tidy our stuff from when we were 6. I grew up in India but we never had a maid. Not that we couldn't afford - my dad was a high flying accountant. Dad swept the house every morning before work, it was his job to bathe us and get us ready for school until we went to year 6. Mum took care of the kitchen and she was a housewife.

I married a 'mamma's boy'. He comes from a family where boys don't lift their fingers for anything. We started life together in a foreign land and while he was scared to touch the microwave and worried how to find a cleaner; he was surprised that I could clean the bathroom, toilet, cook and get myself to work (we were colleagues!) and keep our home organised. We had a child at 23 and nothing phases me! He is quite a successful entrepreneur now (and I still have a decent job) but 4 mornings a week, he walks the dogs, gets the children ready for school, makes breakfast and packs lunch for all of us. I look after the children's education, dinner and all bills. While I make sure clothes are washed and ironed, its his job to put them away. We find the time. There is nothing demeaning about doing your own job. If anything organising yourself, knowing how to clean your mess is the one lesson we all need to know before we run a business or rule the world.

I do see your point that, maybe Sonakshi is coming across too strong because of her insecurities but please don't rule out the fact that cleaning up after oneself is an important skill which Dev lacks and he has to learn pronto! In my POV, thats the skill Ishwari should have taught him.

Well said. She has all the time in the world to dictate Dev that too when he has to hurry up to attend his work.
In the early days of marriage she used yo bother about his breakfast ,and pack tiffin. Now her only aim is to make Dev tensed up over silly things like ironing arranging clothes etc.
Yes Iswari and Dev did not ask her to change. But Sona is Sona She thinks she has to make her mark on Dev through compulsion. Period.

@ PKB Das
Please go through the list given by yyy in her post Standing Up. You will definitely know what Dev did for Sona.
