Ask me ...i got mine cancelled ...n still after 4 years i m yet to go ...dat tym i had vacations ...n after dat back to back functions n work was lined up ..den baby happened ...so i ll not b amazed if dev n sona never go on honeymoon 😆
Yeah but i agree sona was not given a choice ...decision was already made n now it was in sona's hand to decide how she takes it ...
Past is such a raw nerve for dev dat he forgets everything wen it is mentioned ...n i give it to ishwari coz she alwaz cums up wid apt flashbacks to make dev dance on her tunes ...dev ll not come out of it until unless he realises dat he is ruining his present n future n not only his sona's too n his family is not worth it ...n he ll realise ...sometimes some people need strong jolts ..n he ll get dem

I edited my post. Yes, I agree. Sometimes in our life we do take steps against our wishes. But two things matter there.

1. Was it our decision to take the steps we considered necessary or was it forced on us without our consent?

2. If we let go of our dreams this time, when will the next opportunity we get to fulfil those dreams?

Here, a. the decision was forced on Sona and she did what she could in the circumstances.

and b. Dev didn't cancel honeymoon because of Neha. He cancelled honeymoon because Ishwari got low BP. So if Ishwari gets conveniently sick every time they plan their trip or come up with some other family issue or problem, I doubt Sona will ever go anywhere with Dev until Ishwari dies. Then, what good came out of this sacrifice?

I think sona has understood how to deal with patidev. .She went down on her knees to calm her husband unlike previously tried consoling. then we know how Dev calmed down..
If lady bends little bit, man will definitely comes into line. If you show your ego..man will rise even higher. what is the point in fighting and spoiling our own peace of mind. Initially wife has to bend little bit and man will make her queen of heart. He will listen to you throughout the life. All young girls out here it is a small advice from me. apply this formula, it works miraculously.

And if you dare to be silent tomorrow and not shut your sister's mouth for daring to point finger at your wife in HER home, I am sorry, you nor your family deserves her.
They have done nothing till date to make me even remotely feel that they deserve her.Dev better not stand like a mute spectator tomorrow. But I don't know why I feel that Ishwari is going to be the one to speak in Sona's favor tomorrow. And Dev will again get to witness how great his mother is🤔I hope that's not the case but it's still a feeling I have.

P.S. I don't blame Sona for the steps she took. She did what she could in the circumstances she found herself in. But you know the saying that throwing pearl to a monkey is useless? Doing a good deed in Dixit family is the same futile experience.
She was understanding and she didn't want to hurt Dev when he was already feeling so low.Yes,she did what she could in those circumstances. After all Ishwari is the one who plays with Dev's emotions, not Sona. But I felt really bad to see her tears and unhappiness today.

Me too feel the same. she will be easily winning browny points I front of the family. I want sona to spk up tomorrow. I want sona to stand up for herself.

Thanks for all your responses.
Here's my take on this. Some people consider going to honeymoon is a trivial thing. May be it is for some people. But honeymoon concept didn't came into existence so that husband and wife can go somewhere and have sex. They can do it in their room as well.

It's also exploring a new place with each other, making memories, remembering a time when they were newly married and still there were new things to discover about each other, being silly, being sickly romantic and just being themselves uninterrupted by any family member or responsibilities or demand from work or home.

That is the charm of honeymoon. Call it any name, go as backpacker or a luxury trip in resort, it's still memories to cherish for a lifetime.

I didn't go on a honeymoon either. My husband and I went on a six months trip across India instead. We explored, struggled with the crowd/noise/pollution, saw incredible sights, got into trouble/shady situations, but we also made memories that we will forever cherish and understood each other way better than we could have at the cushy comfort of our own home... My husband came to know the part of me which will be forever enriched with the legacy of my culture and made me who I am and I came to know my husband's ability to handle difficult situation without knowing a single word in a foreign language.

And we have a lot of "Remember When" stories to tell, where we were just us and only we know what happened in the story. It was just our time.

I am not saying everyone loves to explore or go to far away land to make memories. May be, going on a trip is not as significant for some than others. But if it is significant for someone, if that is their dream, they deserve to go on a trip or honeymoon.

No one deserves to get their dreams taken away from them because they tried to do something nice and then no one remembered to fulfil their dreams. No one stopped to ask, "Remember darling you wanted to go somewhere on our honeymoon? Well pack your bags. We are going next week."

And nothing is sadder than being resigned to having their dreams broken.

So many people are feeling sad for Neha that she could not study even though she wanted to. Why didn't anyone say, "Honey, now we have money. Why don't you study online or in correspondence?"

You know why? People who give up on their own dreams, sometimes due to circumstances, sometimes for others, only they can revive it. No one else gives a damn about someone else's broken dreams.

bottom line is, the entire dixit clan does not deserve sona and being all sweet does not make up for dev's disregard of his wife.
