That's exactly how Ishwari is treating Sona. But has Dev ever stood up to her and said that he won't tolerate constantly pointing fingers at his relationship?

Of course relationship will change after marriage. Time is limited and now one more person has claim to his time and his attention. Unless he can make a 24 hour day a 28 hour day, he has to manage his time to include the new person.

But love is not limited. Just because he loves Sona, doesn't mean he doesn't love his sister.

If he had sent Neha her home, Ishwari would have claimed that Dev wants to get rid of his sister.

If he had called Ranveer, Ishwari would have asked to not interfere.

He is respecting Neha's wishes and giving her time, now Ishwari is claiming why is he happy when Neha is not.

This is not only ridiculous but also insulting when a mother treats her own son like her slave.

But the worse thing is that when that said son puts all that misery on his wife without her consent and takes away her hopes and dreams. What's wrong wanting to spend quality time with one's own husband without in-laws constantly insulting, taunting, sulking or criticising? Why is that too much to ask?

Had Dev went on a business trip and Sona went with them because he needs his wife to attend business dinner, will that make it more noble cause than honeymoon?

OR is the issue is the prospect of having fun that is not acceptable in our culture?

Thanks for putting my thoughts in words ! I always felt that Dev has this feeling of guilt towards his relationship with Sona. She is his lawfully wedded wife and should be treated with respect.Sona said it to Ishwari that Dev is her husband and there is nothing wrong in waiting for him for dinner and she is going to do it everyday from then onwards 👏. Ishwari was behaving like Sona does not have any rights other than waiting for him in the bedroom.
