its done...i mean consummation done...dev and sona r now not only emotionally and romantically a single unit but also have united physically...
it was one of the most beautiful journeys i hv seen from them being strangers to each other to getting recruited by dev as ma's nutritionist to falling in love to separation to reunion and then marriage and physical union...
dev we hv seen had always been the giver in his life...at very young age he has lost his dad and from then on it became his responsibility to ensure a secured future for his family...ishwari has struggled in those days educating her son and making him worthy of taking this responsibility...
and from that day till today he has always shouldered his responsibilities in every way possible...in all the years he has played the role of ideal son, ideal brother, ideal nephew and so on but never once realizing that he has to be that ideal man to himself too...
as a man he has his own dreams however much he pretends that his happiness lies in the happiness of his family...that is not true for any person on this earth...to a large extent it is so but beyond that extent the definition of happiness starts and ends with one's heart's desires getting fulfillled...
wen dev fell in love with sona this is exactly wat he felt...the definition of happiness that he has always denied himself has today come in the form of sonakshi bose...he has loved her, he has wanted her, he has gvn his soul to her so much so that just the thot of losing her can make him lose all his senses...
wen he had to sacrifice sona for the sake of his mom he did so as a way of lifelong habit of playing the role of giver...however unlike all his life wen playing the role of giver gv him happiness and peace this time this same role brought him distress and he overnite turned into stalker and devdas...
i guess it was during this phase that dev realized his life has changed in the way that he cannot solely play the role of giver anymore...or in other words today he has no right to sacrifice solely for his mother...today he is answerable to himself too...he has loved and wanted sona for himself and not for his mother...so before telling her to leave from his life he just cudnt behave like he has done his duty toward his mom since his own soul is also in the position to question him...
and so wen he came to know his mom is using his sacrifice to fulfill her own selfish desire to tie him to herself he confronted her for the first time albeit in a drunken state...
since then ishwari has realized her folly...dev has now learnt to love himself and has learnt to dream for himself...so she has to against her own wishes accept sona in his life since a large aspect of dev's soul is now owned by sona...ishwari agreed to the marriage only to prevent dev from crumbling to pieces as she wants a whole of dev for herself...
after marriage nothing changed by that i mean ishwari has not changed...she refuses to accept the fact that dev is no more the 8 year old whose entire world was ishwari and who cudnt stay away from her for even a single day let alone 15 days...
ishwari's stubbornness to carry on her bond with dev like she has done for so many years is obviously taking a toll on DevAkshi marriage...she is manipulating to keep them apart...she tells sona not to keep the vrat but at the same time says there is noone else so she herself has to keep the vrat...a strategy which is always successful...she makes sure to mention the clause of physical separation from husband after sona agrees to keep the vrat so that she cant deny later on for obvious reason of shyness...
the most irritating and apparent denial from ishwari to gv space to sona in dev's life is the waiting process at night for dev...as sona insists on waiting for her husband ishwari adamantly and literally pushes her to go to her room and sleep explaining that she is used to waiting for her son...however as dev returns home and asks the watchman about y the lights r on and watchman says memsaab is awake dev immediately concludes that sona is waiting for him...
the fact that dev has grown up from a 8 yr old boy to a married man who is desperately in love wih his wife is proven by the smile that shone in his face because of the expectation of seeing his wife waiting for him...
for all these years ishwari has waited for him but dev today very naturally assumed that sona wud wait and ishwari wud go to sleep...this is the natural process of life...dev today will not be happy to see his mom waiting for him but rather will feel uneasy to see her instead of sona...but playing the role of ideal son comes naturally to him added by the fact that ishwari never lets him forget his obligations towards his family (which means only ishwari to her)...so as he utters well memorised lines like "tere haath ke khana kha ke poore din ke thakan door ho jaate hai" bla bla bla and ishwari thinks everything is just like before...
she deliberately ignores dev's body language...wen he enters he looks here and there obviously expecting sona...he constantly tells ishwari y dont u go to sleep...she ignores all these and chooses only those actions of dev that makes her believes she is still the ONLY important person in his life...
wen ishwari told dev to recruit vicky in his office he as any other normal married man discussed it with his wife and taking her advice he recruited vicky as trainee...but seeing that dev listened to sona over her ishwari cud hardly tolerate that and again began to manipulate dev by reminding him of his obligations toward his family (this time family includes mamaji)...
dev has never in his life failed in the role of giver yet ishwari at every moment reminding him of his duties...the suffocation is getting on dev as he outbursts in front of his wife another very natural thing...married men tend to take out their foul mood on their wives...wen sona tries to tell him it was wrong of him to recruit vicky in high position dev cud hardly control his temper since he obviously knows he is wrong which also makes him realize his helplessness wen anything is concerned with his mom...he cant go against ishwari's orders...
there is huge difference compared to past years of his life...previously he used to perform his duties and played the role of obedient son widout any burden and he was happy with that...that is because he never believed he has anything in his life other than his family...
today he is a lover and husband too...today his family has a new member who is also his life...today wen playing the role of dutiful son he is feeling the pressure of answering to his wife...
the fact that ishwari's demands r wrong and unjustified r also getting on to him which actually leaves him confused since all his life he has seen his mom teaching him all the right things of life...dev once in drunken state had confronted ishwari that she wants to know whom he loves more...her or sona...it cannot be that today dev is not realizing that ishwari is still playing the same game...
yes he is understanding that and this is apparent because he actually gets irritated wen ishwari knocks on their bedroom room door like the other morning...it was early morning and dev very irritatingly asked sona what time it is...
even in late evenings wen he returns home and sees both sona and ishwari waiting for him his face brightens up to see sona and even makes playful gestures toward her but at the same time tells his mom that y doesnt she go to sleep...this is as clear as dev can indicate that he wants only sona waiting for him...
its a continuing process as of now...ishwari's height of possessiveness cud be seen ystrdy wen she was waiting at dining table knowing very well dev wudnt return before morning...and again at breakfast table wen mamaji was telling her to eat she said she has already eaten which is obviously a lie...which means if DevAkshi wudnt hv returned that day too then wud ishwari remained widout food all day...
ishwari very conveniently tends to make dev feel the brunt of guilt wenever her ugly face gets exposed to dev...wen dev caught her redhanded of sending ritwik to bose family she turned the table by saying that he has cheated sona and so as a mother she is redeeming his "sin".
and today too she is doing the same thing...dev is making HM plans for 15 days...she can never allow that and so makes him feel guilty by stating that neha is unhappy...yes neha is unhappy...but it was dev who was always against the marriage since he was worried neha wudnt be happy with ranvir and at that time ishwari pushed neha toward ranvir saying that love can mend everything...
dev's blindness toward his mom's injustices is remarkable...ishwari has once been the catalyst in neha's love story but had been the catalyst in DevAkshi's separation...everything hapnd in front of dev but his bond toward his mom goes much deeper than that...
however the effect has taken place...ishwari's suffocating grip on dev resulted in his drunken outburst before marriage...and it is not far the second outburst to take place...
ishwari's pretence of falling ill to dusrupt their HM plans i guess will not go unnoticed by sona...ishwari is always like this...in the beginning of this serial wen ishwari collapsed after an argument with neha dev came to know from doctor that the previous year ishwari was hospitalized wen he was abroad on business trip...that time it was only business trip and still ishwari fell ill and this time it is HM trip so obviously ishwari wont wait for dev to leave before falling ill...
ishwari's strategy of making dev feel guilty all the time wenever he is daring to feel happy for himself and added to that ishwari's determination to refuse to gv breathing space to DevAkshi r not going unnoticed by dev which is the reason during their last fight dev said to sona tum samajhti kyun nahi ho sonakshi...his helplessness of knowing the wrongs but yet not being able to do anything will surely take a toll on him wen sona will feel the brunt of it and take another drastic step of staying away from dev...
ishwari in the process of always fooling herself that for dev she is still the only important person is overlooking the fact that dev is normal as long as sona is with him...the moment sona leaves him he can even confront his mom and it has been proved before...so wen ishwari's grip on dev will again drive sona away that day again dev will confront his mom and this time he will not take the help of alcohol...
ishwari needs to realize the virtue of giving freedom to loved ones...by always reminding dev of his duties and by always making him feel guilty for feeling happy she is only proving that she does not trust him that he will never ignore his family even with sona in his life...
