Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 winner Elvish Yadav recently faced a harrowing security scare when unidentified assailants opened fire at his residence in Gurugram. The attack took place early last Sunday morning, when three masked men on motorcycles fired more than two dozen rounds at his home. The gunshots hit multiple parts of the building including windows and walls, while members of his family were present inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as Elvish himself was not at home at the time.
The incident sent shockwaves across the influencer community and the internet, as the attackers appeared to have clear intent. In a social media post that surfaced shortly after, a group allegedly linked to the Himanshu Bhau gang claimed responsibility for the assault. The post accused Elvish of promoting online betting platforms, stating these had caused widespread financial damage to many households. The group issued a warning, suggesting that similar action could be taken against other content creators engaged in similar promotions.
On August 18, Elvish addressed the situation on Instagram with a short but reassuring message: "I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your good wishes. My family and I are safe and well. Your kind thoughts and concern are truly appreciated. Thank you." His response brought relief to fans, but the fear surrounding the attack lingered.
In a major development on Friday morning, police officials apprehended one of the accused following an intense encounter in Faridabad. The man, identified as Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, reportedly fired several rounds at the police with an automatic pistol before being injured in the leg. He was subsequently taken into custody and is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital. Authorities confirmed that Ishu is a resident of Jawahar Colony in Faridabad and is believed to have played a key role in the shooting.
