  • Is showing of any kind of Intimacy a no no in Indian TV?
  • Maybe these actors dont feel comfortable doing it?
  • Regarding the concentration of negativity more than positivity so much so in even a wedding maybe the CV's have an audience for this kind of thing and it is not us?

1.Intimacy scenes are avoided and prolonged in too many serials to count but there have been shows which have shown bold, intimate and passionate scenes as well One such show was telecast on Sony itself and another one is a show by the same production house and there is no lack of intimate scenes in that show. There might be others which I am unaware of.But the so called trp aunties prefer torturous plotting, scheming saas bahu shows more so those kinda shows exist in majority.

2.Both Erica and Shaheer have done intimate scenes in their previous shows or movies so I don't think that should be the issue.

3.Cvs sure have an audience with the OTT negative drama. Those kind of plots attract trps and maintain the top slots. We are surely not one of those. We can only handle small doses of drama and the CVs have been going overboard with negativity and making us loose our connect to the show. I guess the main leads are a saving grace for many like me. They are so good that I feel like watching and keep expecting for better.

Your post is good. But I feel sad for KRPKAB team. These guys are honestly trying to keep everyone happy and are falling short. This is a just a serial, yes very close to reality but a serial.
Our expectations should be realistic.

Totally agree with you. The episode looked super rushed except the offensive culture appropriation which went on and on. Seriously, what were they thinking?
Wait, I am expecting CVs to actually think beyond drama. May be that's my mistake. I should not expect any sense from them at all.

Actually it looked like CV are actually confused, they forgot its DEVAKSHI wedding and not an introduction of Bengali wedding rituals to Buaji & others.
Really this is what they called real wedding?? what the use of hiring such an expensive venue when Viewers are not satisfied. Producers do know that fans wants Devakshi scene.

30.09.2016 was reserved for Devakshi wedding. there was not need to show so many unwanted scenes of Buaji & GKB drama.

Why make the bride cry on her special day?

The only most beautiful ritual I loved abt Devakshi wedding was the Varmala. It was WOW especially when Dev bows for Sona to put the garland.. apart from that nothing!!! no exchange of glances between the bride & groom, I guess this is what usually happens during wedding..

The sindoor dan was showed more clearly in segments.
What happened to the mangalsutra scene, editors ate that??
Sorry to say the episode was badly edited.

Instead of giving importance to the couple getting married, more interest is being given to the food, WHY??

Because of non veg food:
- ishwari & buaji didn't eat
- as per precap ishwari will prepare food for buaji, she will faint and devakshi will look after her.
- dev n sona will get into a fight just because of food (as per recent buzz)

Edited
Who did the gad-bandhan? I didn't see that person face.. CV could have let Neha or Ishwari do the honour..

They could have shown them saying the vows like it was shown during Neha & Ranveer wedding!

One question:
Shouldn't Dev and Sona exchange their sitting position after the pheras was done?
Let me know

Each and every word, ditto, I agree...

I have never complained about the pace of the show, I had loved it. But today it was a hell rush in Devakshi scenes...

And the hugest disappointment were the wedding rituals ke time ki editing. Who the bloody hell wanted to see all the family members' smiling faces and the camera going out of zoom when he was applying sindoor in her maang? For heaven's sake, we wanted an extra zoom there...

And where did the mangalsutra part go? Are they mad or what? I have been madly dying to see the both of these rituals? They made a sham out of it.

I have no doubt about the hardwork the entire cast and crew has done, but this editing has badly spoilt everything...

Couldn't they have shown this fish drama on Monday? Maaro goli to any additional scenes, inhi Devakshi scenes ko thoda aaraam Se dikha dete...

I am hugely disappointed for now... Not with Devakshi, but the editors... It could have been such a fantastic episode...

Yet I will say - Devakshi, you stole my heart darlings. Whatever you both did, they were awesome...

I will add a few highs here, I don't like ending this negatively :

>> Maamaji, you were the saving grace. Your each attempt at dissolving the tensed situations, Kudos to you... You are the perfect father in law that Sonakshi will always have her baba in. Thank you for being there.

"Bahu ke haath mein aalta Kitna achha lag raha hai, jaise mehendi ka pakka Rang chadh gaya ho... Aansoo poch Le apne. "
-- Manaaoing Sona when tears spilt out of her eyes because, both her parents and in laws were constantly arguing.

"Bijoy da, Sona aapki amaanat hai, par hum usey lautaayenge nahi."
-- Telling the Boses that their daughter is always their daughter, but they will treasure her. Shutting both GKB and Buaaji.

>>> Ishwari for a change created no ruckus, although being disappointed, she literally let the marriage happen as smoothly as she could help the Boses with. Thank you for that.

"Sonakshi sirf bahu banke nahi aayi hai, khushiyaan Sonakshi ke Roop mein aayi hain humare ghar."

>>>> All the three sisters cum nanadein to Sona... You three gave a solid start to Sonakshi's welcome to the Dixit family. Thank you so much!

>>>>> Last, but absolutely and definitely cannot be the least, DEV, you didn't say much today, but your face spoke allocades for you...

-Your happiness at seeing Sona.
-Your expressions when she was taking circles before Shubho Drishti.
- Your Bending down during the Mala Badal.
-Your attempt at making Sona smile tricking her into you putting the Mala on her.
-Your brief eye lock with Sonakshi
- The satisfaction on your face when your family assured to always keep Sonakshi happy.
-Your smile when you readjusted her pallu after sindoor daan.
-The gleam of mist in your eyes when Sonakshi was crying at her bidaai.
-Your opening the door of the car for her.
-Your soft hand at Sona's back ushering her into the car.
-Your Bending down and putting Sona's saree in the car.
-Your holding her hand in the car while she was still crying.
-Your backing Sonakshi when she was kicking the kalash of rice at the entrance and entering into the kumkum water.
-Your happiness at letting Sona win the ring instead of his, happily giving your life according to her.
-Your defending Sonakshi during the fish drama knowing she is getting upset.

I know it is too new to say, but you have given a solid start Dev, and I am truly proud of you.

I think it was a long rant.
Sorry if I wasted your time...

The most awaited wedding turned out to be the most irritating and total let down of emotions and respect for cultural values. I am so disappointed with the execution of the entire #DevakshikiShaadi# episode. It didn't meet my expectations even 10%. I agree, buadadi😡🤢 took the total screen space and it seemed like a war of two cultural😡. I highly doubt this happens in real life at least not to such extent.🥱🥱

I know, dulha dulhan don't talk much on their wedding but at least Dev and Sona could have some romantic eyelocks and the vows could have been a little better, in fact, Neha's wedding was far better where Dev and Sona even took vows and made promises to each other.

Hoping to see better scenes and romantic dev going forward.

Our expectations should be realistic.

See the thing is that this show started as something different. The team always emphasized on how maturely the plot would be handled and in the episodes before the break up, they succeeded. But after that, the drama keeps rising. The uniqueness will be lost if that remains the case. I agree that the team worked hard but the CVs can't suddenly shift the entire focus to trp viewers and alienate those viewers who were expecting to see the story unravel maturely and without so much drama.
Their initial target was the audience who enjoyed the maturity and not the extreme negativity.
Our expectations exist because of how the story was handled in so many episodes before. So when those expectations are not even remotely met, we are bound to complain.
And trust me I feel bad for Sharica who got so less screen space after putting so much hard work.

Exactly! Where were Devakshi? We needed them , we wanted them , we demanded them. The OLVs & segments had me super excited.I wanted focus on Dev and Sona.Period.

Yes, drama dikhana hi hai, to why today itself, there are many more episodes to show that. After so many tear filled episodes, today was a need to show a happy and smiling Devakshi.

I am hugely disappointed for now... Not with Devakshi, but the editors... It could have been such a fantastic episode...

True, he has always been the one who understands and reacts accordingly. Both he and Asha are the saving grace in all the chaos.

>>> Ishwari for a change created no ruckus, although being disappointed, she literally let the marriage happen as smoothly as she could help the Boses with. Thank you for that.
😆A big thanks really. Unfortunately it was over compensated by Bua.
