proposal was tacky,emotionless and there was a disconnect!!

I really could not connect as a loyal fan to this visible display of reunion. How a person who has almost lost hope of getting his love back comes prepared with sabse anokha (boring) proposal when I expected him to shed tears and ask for forgiveness(not filmy way)?

I am disappointed because I signed up for a grounded,down to earth,mature love saga not for a popular TRP chart topper.
Asha was only convincing character today. Bose family is quite logical . Baba asked a pertinent question and Asha's reply was equally valid.

I made a post too abt this. And this is what I mentioned:

What was the significance of the Proposal in today'e episode or the storyline? --> NONE

Yes it was TACKY (never ever thought or used this word for KRPKAB and hopefully wouldnt need to in future). I thought KRPKAB is so above all this. Could not see any Passion or Romance bwteen the 2. Like a big piece of the Puzzle missing. Felt like a big DISCONNECT. Like as if, even the Main Leads had no clue why was the Proposal happening. May be Proposal could have been saved for after Dev's redemption Assuming the so called infertility track is to show Dev's redemption by standing up for Sona and supporting her in all situations. But then why all this on Sona...she is always at the recieving end in all these tracks or so called twists. But anyways lets not go there.

After Sona's baba agreed for the proposal, what was the rush to show Saurav calling Dev. It looked like Saurav is Dev's best buddy and all thru the break up was updating Dev on every move. It was so unrealistic. Would have loved to see Asha maa informing Ishwari abt Sona and her baba approving the proposal. And then probably Dev and Sona have a phone convo or meeting with a little bit of awkwardness initially. But then their emotions, feelings and passion for each other which was building up all through the break up phase would break that awkwardness into a passionate hug. May be a nice adult convo between the two after that hug would be so welcomed.

But again breaking all KRPKAB rules, Dev reaches Sona's house within a minute of Saurav calling him. And then follows it with a proposal at a total different location. The makers have always expected and have been successful in getting a clever audience to watching this show. But were they expecting us to keep our BRAIN aside today? I mean SERIOUSLY!!!

You hit the nail on the head..TACKY, Crass, childish and actually felt no romance 😕

This is what we would expect if it was realistic...here It is far from it🤢

i loved Asha today

I felt the same and agree that there was something missing. Erica was in the moment but Shareer seemed a lil off ... I mean for a man who is madly in love. did such crazy things he seemed a little cool. The emotions should have been stronger considering how desperate he was that he would lose Sona. My POV only... I may be wrong.

I don't think there will be another proposal. Even if there is one it looks Forcefully added one.This is the life turning point for both of them so iI consider it official and relavent . Sadly the m makers did not do much effort to make it iconic. Some are of the opinion that we who have a problem with yesterday's proposal are talking about grandeure. No it is not about how grandly they shot it. It is about how it failed to touch the heartstrings.

SPOT ON !! Lacked emotion and Passion...the only emotional part during the proposal was when he wiped her tears and said "bas " ...there was huge disconnect of that scene with the flow of events...not sure why they had to rush and show it yesterday...it was too soon..

Dev and Sona looks good together but am not able to understand why there is so much lack of passion betwn the two...their body language doesnt look like that of two people who are going to get married. I am not asking for any intimate scenes here...but something is hugely lacking...they look more like best friends...not sure if the makers wanted it that way...

Episodes are loosing its beauty which it had initially ..and the pace is too much..

Agree with you They look more like best friends than lovers. The passion is missing. Especially from Shaheer's side.Since the begining makers kept it that way.Yes too much fast paced.

For m it was well written and well executed...both have spoken once in office how breakup s affecting them, both have cried in each other's arms saying how hard it s to move on despite trying hard...Dev was held by his mom s not acceptance and now sona by her father's self respect.when both barriers have fallen apart they both rushed to each other..they don't need to reassure their love for each other by saying I love u or I miss u raining kisses or doing Ashiqui 2 pose..they see each other ...that beaming smile from sona and dialated pupils of dev did all d exchange..and the proposal ..it was not to make her feel special but it was his assurance that he values their relationship s second chance...that sorry notes and going on knees tells dev has redeemed for his hasty breakup..as asha said he did by breaking up was how a normal man does who values his family ( that starts and ends with maa) first..see I m not guaranteeing they both ll never fight..they ll fight , they ll still separate but they can never b away from each other.. period. so this story s so far real with real emotions and right amount of passion..And actors are par excellent...no second thoughts .even Vicky acts well

It did not fail for me.. As I have been in love n marriage.
Both my posts made yday were on this only ..
Innocence of Devakshi is the magic to me..n that was seen yday.

In the way she was so happy seeing the children
The way he said Pyar ne jhukaya
The way she threw the flowers in the air n them landing on his face or head
The way she sat on his one leg n said yes
The way both fell as they could not hold or believe what just happened after all what they went thru
N trying to smile yet tears

That was enough my dear... In every way to connect - no other magic except the magic of love worked !

What I like about this show is- it break chords of stereotype OTT n yes I can see the damage this industry has brought to all our minds - a lot of expectation n fantasies/ wherein reality is so much different

I agree that the proposal was not so up to the mark bt the show people would be shooting day and night with tight schedules to give us the episodes. i personally think its the lack of time that made the episode poorly executed. After all, they dont hv mch bank episodes, we saw the hug pic just yesterday in SBS..😊

I guess I can forgive them for this... Its still believable than in other serials where people die and take rebirth 😆😆
