Tera Hi Rahun--Completed

Writing about the present scenario and my opinion about how Dev should behave so he could win Ms. Bose back in his life... Its neutral view I have planned to pen.

"...tum sunn rahi ho na Sonakshi beta. Dev ki khushi ho tum. Woh tumse bohot pyaar karta hai beta." Ishwari pleaded by joining her hands. Sonakshi was getting very upset. Ishwari aunty pleading and guilty. Suddenly Dev entered.

Dev: " Maa, chalo yaha se." The way he said, it sounded as if he ordered. Ishwari was going to say something but no Dev just gave her stubborn look. She had to stand up and get going. He took hold of her hand and asked driver to take her back home. He mentioned he would be joining soon.

He looked at Asha Bose and said "Mein bas sorry kahunga aunty. Aapko aagese koi takleef nahi hogi. Sonakshi ek bohot hi honhaar aur samajdaar ladki hai, agar usne koi faisla liya hai to woh theek hi hoga. Ab aagese aapko Dixit family se aur takleef nahi hogi, iski jimmedari meri." Saying so he turned to leave.

Asha Bose "Par beta, tum Shona se abbhi pyaar karte ho na?"

Dev just smiled but his eyes bore the pain, said" Aunty, yahi to ab aata hai mujhe karne. Sonakshi ne mujhe aaj tak jitna sikhaya hai, mein humesha unn baaton ko yaad rakhunga . Usse pyaar karna ab meri zindagi hai aunty. Agar wo chhod diya to iss jag ko chhodna padega."

Saying so, he left. Sonakshi had heard all this from the stairs and left for her room.

In Ishwari Niwas.

Ishwari was waiting for her son to come. But she felt very nervous. What if after she went, Sonakshi's baba had said something to Dev? She knew how angry Sonakshi's father was with Dev. She heard Dev's car entering and hurried towards the door.

Dev entered. He knew his maa was waiting for him to say something. Instead he went towards kitchen, asked Bhola to give him a glass of water and call everyone into living room. Bhola went and Dev gulped the glass of water in haste. He had made a decision.

Everyone had gathered into living room. Somewhere they all knew that it was regarding Sonakshi-Dev-Ishwari.

Dev took hold of his mother's hand and walked to the exact centre and said " Maa aaj tune jo kiya, woh tu aaj ke baad kabhi nahi karegi. Mere mana karne par bhi to Sonakshi ke ghar gayi. Kyun maa? Dekh mujhe pata hai ki tu mere liye wahan gayi thi. Lekin mujhe ye bhi pata hai ke Sonakshi needs time. Sonakshi ko waqt dene ki bohot zarurat hai. Ye jo bhi ho raha hai uske saath waisa uske saath nahi hona chahiye. Isiliye meine ek faisla kiya hai maa. Aur ye faisla kisi ke liye bhi nahi badlega."

There was a cold and scary silence among all those who were witnessing this conversation. Everyone was glued to the stern and somewhere familiar face of Dev. Everyone knew if Dev had taken a decision, then it had to be final and followed by everyone present. It was always unsaid rule with Dixits and relatives.

"Maa tujhe iss ghar ki kasam hai, tujhe tere bacchon ki kasam, tujhe meri kasam hai aur akhir tujhe tere bhagwan ki kasam ke tu ab Sonakshi ke ghar rishta leke nahi jayegi. Jab tak mein khud aake tujhse ye na kahun ke maa tera beta teri bahu ko laane ke liye tayyar hai, tab tak tu kuch nahi karegi."

Ishwari was left stunned. Her ears rang with Dev's words. She didn't know how to react. She had done all this for her son. She knew how much he loved Sonakshi. Then why was he behaving like this? Ishwari said "Par Dev, meine sachme iss baar dil se Sonakshi ko apni bahu ke roop mein sweekar kiya hain, to phir tu ab ye sab? Kyun?

" Dekh maa, mein kahan keh raha hun ke tune apni aur poori koshish nahi ki. Tune poori koshish ki hai. Bas ek minute ke liye ye soch ke Sonakshi ke jagah Riya ya Nikki hai. To kya hum waisa behave nahi karte jaisa Sonakshi ke gharwale kar rahe hain? Karte na. Maa, mein Sona ko janta hun. Ab iss waqt usse bas apneaap ke saath rehene ki zarurat hai. Aur mein nahi chahta ke usse koi ye waqt chhinle. Usse jitna waqt lena hai, lene do."

"Par Dev, tu matlab tujhe.."

"Bas maa.. Meine keh diya na. Ab aur koi charcha nahi hogi iss par."

Saying so, he heads towards his room. Each member had their own opinions and thoughts but who would have courage to say anything against Dev. Ishwari just couldn't understand why Dev so giving so much importance to Sonakshi and her family. She thought what kind of people they were to refuse a son-in-law like her Dev. Dev was true diamond she thought. If Dev loved Sonakshi then why just she couldn't say yes. Sonakshi was very adamant child she thought. One should never give so much freedom to children specially girls, or else they would become like this and never listen to anybody.

Ishwari noticed everyone had gone and headed towards her room.
