Exactly... The Writers need this too... They just can't run away from the problems that the viewers are posting and bashing/praising them on and take the story hastily wherever they feel like... 😆

But yeah... For any normal human being in love things could have worked this way... Dev-Sona are too much messed up too understand their deep emotional state for each other... They are like Modern Gen Born Confused Desis... 😆

Glad at least they projected how much emotional these two are invested in each other that it's very very difficult to take any normal route... 😉😆

When will the day come these two can be honest with each other ???

If Sona refused Dev's request to come to her engagement - he would have been spared from falling even more low in her parents and relatives' eyes.

If Sona had broken up with Ritwik realizing that she is cheating him by letting him think that she is ready for marriage when she obviously is not. You can make a relationship work and be married to someone when you don't love them. Lots of arranged marriages work that way. But not when you are still madly in love with someone else.

If Dev had the sense to stay away from alcohol or just leave before making a fool of himself.

If Sona had made Dev leave with help of Saurabh or Elena or both...

Like I said, what happened yesterday was could have been prevented in so many ways, but it was like watching a train wreck when you know that if only the driver did his job, it could have been stopped and people would have got off with only a scratch or two instead of so many casualties it caused.

it bugged me how these two disregarded the family honour. Dev is suddenly ok to drink to stupor and create scenes, and humiliate his saintly mother. And Sona not knowing how upset Bijoy would be, when he trusted her on her word that she wanted this engagement.

They both wanted to be known as good kids, who chose their family first. But ended up hurting their families so much.

I dont know how even Elena gets hate. I really dont understand that.
