Ae Dil Hai Mushkil ...
Kitna Mushkil ...

How tormented was Dev? Miserably. Everyone saw how difficult it was for him. His sisters, Mamaji , even stubborn Ishwari. Sonakshi saw it, Elena and Sourabh too.

Ishwari tried to force her decision upon him, but he resisted. "Dont go there.." she decided for him. Because it was easy for her. He's a grown man in the throes of love and she took it away from him. He is desperately holding on to being proper, but his mother's betrayal had hit him the worst.

She wasn't on the same page as him. Instead of walking with him, she was standing in his way and tripping him. It is gruelling and painful to see the dignity of a man being dismantled like this.

if it was in private, I would have cried for him. But for his sake, I wished so hard that someone stayed by his side and stopped him from making such a fool of himself. I wished Mamaji had gone with him and brought him back safe. Couldn't Sourabh have kept him distracted and walked him into a Cab?

Why was he left to his misery like that all alone?! It angers me that no one is there by his side !!

"I dont know with what expression I'm walking around with these days. Everyone gets so scared when they see me ..." He breathed with a weak attempt at humour. It was a funny thing to say, but the devastation in his face cancelled it out.

I think it was smart the writers gave away that Dev will get what he wants. If we didn't know that, this Mahaepisode would have been a one hour torture angst session .

Dev is suffering, Sonakshi is suffering . And Ishwari has a lesson to learn. And in the middle of this mess, Ritwik has to be jilted. I'm sorry but i refuse to hate him just because he isnt Dev. He deserves to be happy too. But the bitter pill for him is that He is better off without Sonakshi.

Sonakshi and Dev have their own battles to fight.

1. To fight for their love for each other.
2. To wait for their families to come to terms with their relationship without hurting them.
3. Stop running from problems and taking hasty decisions.

p/s: loved the new version of theme tune.. So 😭 .. right in the feels..

p.p/s : liked the sight of Neha weighing in on the issue.

precap: I think I watched it 100 times. It hurts ... aaughhh.

again we are seeing a very private moment between a man and the woman he wants to spend his life with. He should have done this at the break up, then she wouldnt have been so mad at him. And his mother is spying on him, seeing how attached he is to Sonakshi.

She thought she was his everything. And now she sees him say he would die without Sonakshi. This worries me. She is going to act like she lost Dev instead of accepting that Dev has only fallen in love, as is his right to. Why does Dev's victory in love have to be her loss?

Long way to go before a happy ending...

But at least Ritwik gets out of this tangled mess.

If weaklings Eeshwari and Dev can make mistakes, so can the strong ones Sonakshi and Rithwick. Rithwick knew what he was getting into, but he still wanted to do the "right" thing by not leaving Sona to fight her demons alone. Sonakshi was still not over Dev, but she tried to do the "right" thing by being strong and moving on. Time was not right for them though. I loved the episode, especially Dev's letter and Sona's dream.

Ritwik decided to marry sona to early...that was a bit to rush...again he should have told her moving on is not getting married... I thought for a level head person he fell short... He should have just been her friend.

Sona purposely hurried into this wedding just to make Dev realise he would not live without Sonakshi , his love, and the moment Dev gives in she runs to him. Forgetting the entire world around her ...

It is hard to be sympathetic when the people disintegrating behave like they were never given an option.

Maybe the lesson for them here is to learn how to communicate. This whole mess can be averted it everyone communicate effectively with each other.

yesterday it felt like Dev and Sona were expecting to be congratulated and lauded for sacrificing their love for their families. No, they were just putting their families through embarrassment, hurt and upheaval.!!

ok. I accept. they are young. People make mistakes, and that's the story. Fine.

It felt to me like Sona was wishing Dev will come and stop the engagement. A grand gesture to claim her back. And whatever hell ensues they'll weather it together hand in hand.

But all he did was drink too much and stagger about and then faint. Of course Ritwik would be unfriendly. This is his family event, his family and friends are all here, and he shouldn't have to put up with Dev's attention seeking behaviour today at least.

in the interest of drama, the normally sensible Ritwik has went through with engagement. But I would have expected him to pull on brakes after that disastrous dinner date. But we have whatever have.

yeah, I was disappointed with all characters yesterday...😭

I agree ! nobody behaved sensibly.

The whole Mahaepisode was a spectacle of angst but I can't help but feel the whole thing could've been avoided. 😕

🤗 Liked your post... Very neutral amidst all the extremes of gaaga 👍🏼 or booboo 👎🏼 over the episode... 😃
Quoting you "3. Stop running from problems and taking hasty decisions."

Exactly... The Writers need this too... They just can't run away from the problems that the viewers are posting and bashing/praising them on and take the story hastily wherever they feel like... 😆

But yeah... For any normal human being in love things could have worked this way... Dev-Sona are too much messed up too understand their deep emotional state for each other... They are like Modern Gen Born Confused Desis... 😆

Glad at least they projected how much emotional these two are invested in each other that it's very very difficult to take any normal route... 😉😆

very true. She didn't think it would go this far. Maybe she thought if it ALMOST happened, Dev would swoop in and make it stop.

She thought she was being honourable by obeying her family. it's a pity because they really thought she was on board with it all. Why did she hide her true feelings from them? Imagine how hurt they would be now? I'm sorry but I cannot imagine doing such a thing to my parents.

I'm not blaming one person , Sutapasima dearie. Everyone needs a lesson here in communication skills .. But This is the story the writers want to tell and I respect that. it takes guts to go the unpopular route.

There are many kinds of friends in this world (😆):

There are those who stand by their friend/ favourite no matter what, fight battles for them, believe in #teams and winning in terms of loyalty.

And there are another type of friends, who wish the best for your friend/favourite and dont hesitate to call them out/ scold them for being silly/unproductive and help them get on to the right way. The kind who hates to see you fall in grace.

both types are good, and we need both types in life 😉

Torment rightly said ... But the worst part is the actors are too gud in "make belief" , we also go though the same torment ... I am also glad they showed sisters discussion regarding Dev easpecially Neha , it would have been so unnatural otherwise ... So now Ishwari overheard the talk , yet she is waiting for her son to SPELL IT OUT to believe so ... Glad she doesnt have to wait longer 😉 ... Ishwari's characterization is so intriguing , when she is ready to show her authority on her other kids and force upon her decisions , she is hesitant to do it with Dev , not ready to let down her mask , she expressed her "STRONG OPINION" yet she added "I told you my opinion , REST IS UPTO YOU " ... When she clearly wanted to say "I DONT WANT YOU TO GO THERE, PERIOD " and when Dev said "Sona herself send this card , may be she wanted me to be there " , he clearly meant " I SOOO WANTED TO SEE HER ONE LAST TIME MAA, BEFORE SHE BECOMES SOMEONE ELSE'S..."
When will the day come these two can be honest with each other ???
