THE WEDDING NIGHT
Part I
Ishwari Niwas was decorated like a palace of some ancient Royal Family. It was a grand affair for the Dixit's, the only son of the house; Dev Dixit was getting married to the best nutrition of the city, Miss Sonakshi Bose. Both of them had gone through a lot, faced numerous ups and downs in their relationship, but now they had decided to leave the past behind and make a fresh new start for themselves. This event had been the talk of the town and the entire media had gathered at the venue to get a glimpse of the newly wedded couple.
The staff of Ishwari Communications had been specifically instructed not to allow the media inside the venue as the bride was very conscious about the numerous lenses capturing her. Keeping everything under control, the secretary and good friend of Dev Dixit, Tina was busy attending the guests and looking after the arrangements of the event. The wedding took place in Bengali style, Sona was dressed in a Calcutta silk saree. She looked like an angel who had descended from heaven, decked in antique Bengali jewellery, with a veil covering her head, her long hair plaited with jasmines adorning it entirely. When every-one was busy admiring her beauty, one heart skipped a beat as she was brought down from her room to the stage where they were suppose to give wedding vows to each other. Dev Dixit couldn't stop starring at his beautiful would-be wife, thinking how he could keep her away from her all this time. He had always made it a point to compliment her for her looks, but today they was she was dressed up was something out of this world. Today he was sure to fall short of words while telling her how gorgeous she looked and that how he was yearning to hold her in his arms, to let her scent mingle in his breath.
The wedding rituals went on at its pace while Dev and Sona were stealing glimpses at each other, blushing at the thought that henceforth they would be belonging to each other forever, that they won't have to find excuses to spend time with each other, they won't have to think twice before getting cozy with each-other . It's all going to be official now, they smiled at each other.
Dev's sister Neha noticed both of them starring at each other "Bhaiyya shaadi ki rasmein abhi khatam nahi hui hain, ek doosre ko niharneka samay to bahut milega phir aap donon ko akele mein, filhaal rasmoan par dyaan de thoda sa", she spoke out loud much to their embarrassment. Both of them quickly looked down to avoid any sort of comments from their relatives and friends.
The rituals got over one by one and soon they were declared as husband and wife, they proceeded to take the blessings from their elders before wrapping up everything and leaving for their mansion. Ishwari informed Neha that she will be reaching home first and she has to do preparations for the "GrihaPravesh", and instructed her to handle everything at the venue. Bidding an emotional adieu to her family, Sona got into the decorated car consoled by Dev, he couldn't help but remember how miserable he had felt when he had to see off Neha. His eyes welled up as he could exactly relate to what the Bose family was going through at the moment.
Sona was welcomed in a grand manner at her Sasuraal, kicking the rice kalash, setting her foot in the plate of red vermillion she walked seven steps into her new abode. She had come here many times before, worked in this very house almost daily but today this place seemed to be totally different for her, today it had become her home.
After playing the game of finding the ring in the vessel of milk, to decide who's going to have an upper hand in their realtion, with Sona winning everytime, followed by innumerable hooting and teasing from the sister's, Dev finally declared that he was damn tired and needed to rest, hoping to spend some alone time with Sona in his room. Dev was about to go to his room signaling Sona to follow suite, only to hear Ishwari instructing Sona aloud, "Beta aaj tum mere saath mere kamre mein so jaana, tumhara bag maine apne room mein rakhwa diya hai, bahut thak gayi hogi jau jaake change karlo, Nikki, Riya apni bhabhi ko le jao aur unki madad bhi kardo", much to his despair.
"Par Sona tere kamre mein kyun soyegi Maa, uska apna kamra hai na", he exclaimed loudly earning glares from all his family members. "Oho bhaiyya, bhabhi se door nahi raha jaa raha?par ab hum kya karein, hum thodi na aap dono ko alag rakhana chahte hain woh to bhabhi Bengali hai na aur unke yahan shaadi ki pehli raat "kaal ratri" hoti hai jahaan dulha-dulhan ek kamre mein nahi so sakte, bus ek raat ki baat hain bhaiyya sabr karlo, kal se bhabhi ko jahan aap chahenge wahin chod denge, infact aap kahen toh hum sab aap dono ko akela chod kar kahin door trip pe chale jayenge ", Nikki's comment made every one burst into fit of laughter, while they newly-weds blushing hard to the darkest shade of crimson.
Dev quickly made his way to his room while Sona was accompanied to Ishwari's room by Riya and Nikki. They helped her get out of the heavy jewellery and dress, something which she wished Dev would do it for her, and made her change into casual night wear.
The entire night went tossing and turning as both the love birds couldn't sleep in their respective rooms. Morning came with a promise to remove all the obstacles in their union, Sona slowly sneaked out of her room and made her way to Dev's room. Dev had just come out of his shower in only his track pants and was busy drying himself with a towel, with his back facing the door.
Sona entered without knocking and soon turned her eyes away to avoid looking at a half dressed Dev, leaving a loud gasp in the process. The gasping sound made him look up into the mirror, noticing his wife of one day standing at a distance of 5 steps from him in his own room; he decided to lessen his pain of staying away from her last night. Taking small steps towards her, moving close to her, caging her between his arms and the door, locking the door in the process he asked, "Miss Bose, aap yahaan kya kar rahi hain who bhi itni subah subah, don't tell me ki aap kal raat mujhe bina shirt ke dekh nahi paayi aur isiliye aapse raha nahi gaya ", he winked making her blush. Trying hard to feign ignorance she managed to blurt out "Mr. Dixit its Mrs. Dixit for you now, aur main yaha koi aapko shirtless dekhne nahin aayi thi, woh main dekhne aayi thi ki aap ready hue ki nahin aapko office jaane mein der ho rahi hogi na", she replied avoiding an eye contact with him, her heart threatening to burst out of her rib cage. Smirking at her attempt to hide her shyness he said, "waise reason job hi ho I'm happy ki aap atleast yaha aayi to sahi, isi bahane mujhe meri good morning kiss bhi mil jayegi", he leaned forward to kiss her. Putting her hands on his bare chest she pushed him a little away from her and said, "yeh kya kar rahe hai aap, maa uth jayengi kabhi bhi, aur mujhe kamre mein nahin payengi to dhoodne lag jayengi, please mujhe jaane dijiye, koi yaha aa gaya toh kya sochega", she tried hard to get out of his strong hold. "main kal raat se wait kar raha hun Sona tumhare paas aneka, tumhe chooneka, tumse mehsoos karneka, ab aur mujhe wait nahi hoga", Dev whispered huskily as he kissed her earlobe sending shivers down her spine. Sona although was feeling very shy at the moment but somewhere deep down even she wanted to enjoy this proximity with her husband of one day. She didn't move from her place and just closed her eyes to give a sort of approval to him, happy to know that she too wanted the same he moved in closing the gap between them and softly placing his lips on hers. They kissed each other slowly and passionately, his hands clutching her waist tightly while hers moved shuffling his hair. How much they had missed each other on their first night, they were under the same roof, two rooms apart from each other but were not allowed to meet or see each other. Dev wanted to let her know that he doesn't intend to let her go away from him even for a second, while she wanted him to know that she always wants to remain like this, caged in the prison of his arms. Their kiss turned into a passionate one from a simple sweet one, they seemed to be lost in each other oblivious to the world around them. Dev's bare chest pressed against her heaving one while he poured out all his love for her in their kiss. They were forced to break their kiss when they heard Ishwari call out to Bhola bhaiyya as she couldn't find Sona anywhere, both of them were panting for breath resting their foreheads against each other. Moving apart from each other and correcting their disheveled looks, Dev slowly opened the door of his room to check if anybody was present in the corridors, sensing nobody around he helped Sona sneak out of his room so as to save her from facing any sort of embarrassment of having made her way into his room first thing in the morning. Sona reached her room and picked up her phone to check it still blushing at the thoughts of what had just happened between them when a message popped up on her phone. "rehearsal to accha tha par ab mujhe final performance ka intejaar rahega, tonight is going to be a long one for you Mrs. Dixit, you better be prepared for it ", Sona couldn't help but blush hard at her husband's explicit message. She was experiencing the mixed feeling of nervousness as well as excitement thinking about their first night together.
