Ritwick is not backing-down because a- he is a plot device. Made to only elevate and cover Dev's ass.

b)- Because there are people who marry immediately after a relationship breaks off , some are tv actors too. i am sure you guys can check their names. it happens. He asked the girl if she is ready to move on and he genuinely seems to enjoy and like her. Hence because he TRUSTS Sona he is sticking around.

I think , it's normal when a jilted ex tries to sabotage a relationship , happens all the time in real life and that doesn't mean it's louu or that the girl should go back and embrace it . But some do choose to move an shut the door. As Sona seems to be doing . Whether he is dumb or not, he is making his own choices , he will reap whatever he is sowing here. Similarly with Sona. None of them are enforcing their will or choice on the other unlike a certain someone.

Unlike us he is acting in a fictional realm where he cannot forsee the future . As of now Sona is a WILLING, CONSENTED fiance of his and he is going to act as her knight in shinning armour as any upstanding adult should . 😊

Perfect topic TM.. I have noticed this hypocrisy for a long time now. One word against Dev's character and you will get pages full of lectures about positivity and you will also be given this unwanted advice to stop watching the show if it bothers you so much.. And on the other side people happily continue name calling GKB, Ishwari and now Ritwik..

I am sorry .. One should use their judgment and assess the situation. If he cant the he is dumb - no contest there..

Dev was dumb when he believed his mom is happy with his relationship with sona even thought he could have easily sensed that she is lying

Ritwick is dumb now as he is just taking sonas word for it and going ahead ...what makes him beleive sona so much?? What if ishwari agrees and dev comes and asks sona to marry him.. What is the guarantee that sona wont dump him and go with dev ... Absolutely none
(infact sona herself said that is dev asks to marry her she wont think twice )

So there is no question that he is dumb.. If he likes to do charity work there are other ways yo accomplish that

Coming back to hypocracy in the forum-- just try to understand.. If some third person comes and bashes your mom and dad... Or any family member would you sit and assess whether your famiiy did anything wrong to deserve it or will u react and tell the third person to back off ..

Same thibg here.. Dev and sona are lile family for this fandom..and rithik is the third person. So they are bound to react that way.. Just understand and ignore it

Notwithstanding with spoilers of R being negative and all

IRL if a guy whose nursed a broken heart himself and took quite sometime to get out of it sees a girl willing to move on and asking him to help her in the journey and subsequently sees all the things the ex has done he is bound to be a knight in shining armour for her

Had this been a serial where this 2nd guy was the ML people would have gone ga ga over him as to how he's sticking by his fiancee and he should confront the ex. Exactly what R is doing now

Just because we know he's not the ML and we desperately want the leads united we are not trying to see both sides of the coin

Its actually quite commendable that the CVs are showing this side too. Not many do that

Firstly, this is a story about DEVakshi ..

So why should we even care about the side actor?? .. we will definitely get more connected to dev's character (who was NEVER shown perfect) since we are watching him, adoring him past 6 months! Rithwik just entered the show 6 days back and he is judging dev as if he know everything about him ..

Dev is NOT perfect, but still is the male lead na?(yes! Its a fact that the main lead has more priority) From the beginning we have been shown that DevAkshi are meant to be. Note: am not at all justifying devs act here!! But he himself said in yesterday's episode that he dont know what he is doing and for what he is doing all this! He admitted that he turned to a stalker post break up. He admitted to saurav that due to some old promises, he was forced to break new ones. Now will rithwik admit that he judged dev before knowing anything about him. He just met dev on their date that too when dev was not even in his senses!

I don't know whether I could explain my pov to you

But there is one thing I want to admit here .. I ship DevAkshi!! And i dont care at all about a cameo role whether people love him or bash him cuz am not doing either! And fandom root for DevAkshi besides all the imperfections in their relationship.. no relationship is perfect!! So its obvious to get turned off by a kabab mein haddi between our fav couple, no matter how cool/right the guy is !!

In the real.world ...Being in a relationship or ex not moving on is not a valid reason to not get married to sona

Why is he marrying her ...becuase she's amazing ...she's honest ...she's open about her heartbreak ...she's grounded ...she's caring etc etc

Every one has a past ...past is always hurtful but people move on ...and a few other help them.move on...that's how it works

Some.people don't move on...that's the unusual kind in this case dev...the reason is simple he's rich and he can afford to not answer questions and ask questions...he can afford to break up and expect the other person to be committed

I think.they have kept the scenario very close to life ...instead of showing a girl who cries in teb shower because her ex left her ...or hoped that the ex would come back one day here is a girl who's accepting her love and accepting that she wants to move on for.good

If anyone tells you not to watch the show just because you object to a fictional character is portrayed, don't even bother with them. You have as much right to object as they have their right to gush over and whitewash their favourite character.

Ritwik likes Sona. She has been honest with him from day1. She told him everything about Dev. Ritwik went ahead with the decision of marriage only after Sona's consent. I think that is enough for him to trust her. Atleast he's not forcing Sona to do something. He supports her, respects her and understands her. If that is called being dumb then he is dumb.

Dev was, is and probably will always be dumb. There's no question there either.
