I agree totally. Yesterday I was waiting for her to soothe him by reaching for his hair then pulling back in the last minute remembering about her fiance.

I completely agree with you... I little show of intimacy is very much needed to make the scenes more convincing and more realistic too.

Love is definitely pure. And physical love is part and parcel of that pure love. Closeness is not unnecessary. It is required. It is a need. I am not talking about sex, although even that comes under a form of expression of love.

If our partner is in pain, we hug him / her. We try to share that pain through that hug. We try to tell him / her that he / she is not alone.

When a man and a woman fall in love, wanting to touch, hug and kiss is natural. Hell, it is required. To express that pure love. Not everything can be conveyed through words and looks.

So yes, in last night's episode, one last tight hug - them crying in each other's arms would have made the wonderful scene even more perfect. It was not needed for the viewers. It was needed for DevAkshi.

For the levels love and purity in this show a certain amount of intimacy is required and it really don't have to be sexual but it can be sensual.
