A mature conversation can do wonders

Today's episode amazed me. Every scene was perfect today. And the best of all was the office scene.
I have always loved the maturity in the characters shown in the show and today they once again proved it.
Anger and hurt is the first reaction anyone feels when you go through a break up. And Sona went through the same. Her anger and resentment towards Dev's actions were justified. But now she has truly accepted that and understands that she has to move on for her family. She knew Dev was struggling but she knew how much only when she went to visit him at his office. I think that is when she realized that showing her anger on him is not going to help either of them. Talking it out is the only solution. And boy, did they talk.
I felt that more than justifying their actions to each other, they were justifying it to the viewers. For the past many days, the main topic of discussion in this forum has been about questioning Dev and Sona's behaviour and actions post break up. Like why Dev is behaving like a mad stalker, why Sona is trying to get married so early or how can she move on so soon and most importantly, why both haven't fulfilled their promises to each other?
Their conversation today gave us an insight on how they were truly feeling and why they were doing things which seemed immature and hard to understand. Their conversation was an important step for both of them to come to an understanding of what is happening between them and why it is happening.
When Sona was yelling at him all these days to stop following her and allowing her to move on, it didn't reach his head, but today when she calmly explained to him what she is going through and why she was requesting him to stop following her, he agreed in a minute.
This shows how a calm and mature conversation can do wonders.
Today we saw how Dev and Sona has understood the gravity of the situation and have completely accepted their break up.
I cannot conclude without saying that Shaheer and Erica were brilliant in today's episode. Hats off to them.

How could we decide Dev agreed ? The Maha Episode promo indicates still he is up to his old ways.Otherwise he wouldn't have been shown like that.
Dev reached a stage where no one can convince him or help him see the truth.
He will be pacified only if Sona cancels her engagement by herself.

But until then he didn't know that his mother was the one who sent the proposal to Sona's family. Once he confronts her he might get a real insight of what his mother is trying to do.

first things first.. i must confess that i cried with Dev when he told Sona that he cannot see themselves separate and that they are one.. I doubt if there would have been a person who could not shed a tear with him, man or woman, does not matter.

Secondly, i do not want him to agree to this stupid promise. this is an immature promise extracted from an emotionally disturbed girl.. While Dev was actually more visibly emotional and Sona was "trying" to act strong. I suspect that Dev knows what Sona is doing and he also realises his stupid and impulsive decision of rejection and what Sona is asking now. I have no doubt in my mind that the mature discussion was only momentary.

I think he will do another wrong, a final one, which he thinks is right. He thinks he has hurt Sona enough and will want her to move on but will want to end his life in her arms.. Another stupidity! For him without Sona he is nothing. He has made it very clear today.

But for him without his mother he is nothing either. Isn't that why, when he was asked to marry Sona twice the same night, he couldn't agree.

I do feel that Sona has spoken calmly and angrily to Dev during this break-up phase many times.
Yesterday's scene was for benefit of those viewers who were saying that Sona is not sitting down and talking calmly to him, hence the 'big-bad-dev syndrome is stalking her.

It will now be proved that even after she has calmly explained to him, he will still follow her... he will still stalk and he will still be the same.

Sigh.. no wonders there!

yes yesterday every one of us shed tears with Dev. And the promise is stupid like you said. How could Sona think that Dev in his present state could abide by that.It is Sona who is taking hasty decisions and compelling him to behave so wierd.Had she not agreed to marry Ritvik Dev wouldn't have become so wild. Before I get the blame that Who am I to deny her a stable and settled life I want to make it clear that Sona also doesn't look convinced with her decision. If she waited for a while things would have been different.
