But, as a woman, I feel cheated too. So many thoughtless actions , crazy and demeaning acts, disrespect and disregard for Sonakshi and her family, such blind devotion towards his mother that he never even questions her. and no redemption? Not even a simple Sorry? That's just not acceptable.
You are not the only one to pay attention to Ritik's scene. His maturity and sweetness deserves a mention and applaud. At that moment I really agreed with what Sona said, that she is lucky to have him in her life.I just hope she doesn't end up hurting him

You both are absolutely on point. I too had a weak moment like Sona because of their fabulous acting/their pain but the woman in me remembers the break up and its before and after. I wish they had not inserted this scene now, Sona had no option but to melt seeing him like this. I did not want her anger to be diffused so quickly...

Finally an honest conversation without ego getting in the way ...

All of this is so true, you described their emotions very well. I wish they had not inserted this scene at this point though. Seeing him like this, Sona had no option but to melt (given how her character has been written) but I did not want her rightful anger to be diffused so quickly with no attempts from his end.

Going by the written update... I feel cheated!
All this talk would have made sense during breakup or maybe right after the breakup.
But not now.. after all the shit Dev pulled in the name of love, he is going to get a free pass? Wow 👏
This is not what the initial promos suggested, is it?

Maybe I should wait and see but why did they sequence this heart touching scene now? Why not after his redemption??

Just reading Indian TV sadly, this scene probably was here to move sympathy to Dev's side. Tomm he will know what his mother did and will not say anything. On Monday, he will collapse. All this will wipe out the crazy he was doing because from now onwards, it shows how much in love he is and how helpless. All sympathies towards him... If Sona still wants to move on, then she will be the villain of the story...
Don't most regular shows on Indian TV work this way? This is now no different.

I would truly hope they prove me wrong but they themselves have jumped on the drama bandwagon fair & square!

Should I be reading the subtext (i.e what the CVS are thinking) that they too did not think he had a responsibility to try and find a middle ground before taking an impulsive decision? Is that how they see relationships? So all the pages and pages of analysis on the forum have no meaning if this is what the CVs think. Then it becomes all about "exposing Ishwari" and fixing/healing/redeeming her and completely disregarding the fixing that Dev himself needs!

I hope not. If all they show is Ishwari being redeemed/fixed, then they will be justifying everything flawed and wrong in Dev's character. Nobody expects perfection but we sure do hope that they make Dev realise his responsibility not only towards his mother but other relationships and himself as well.Stalking in the name of love, hurting somebody who did no wrong in the name of loyalty and devotion towards mother, no respect or regards for the family of girl you love under the guise of unconditional love for mother, the list is long. If all this is not addressed then it will be a failure on part of the writers and makers.

Well now that I had a second thought of the perspective, I think CV is going to have an hourglass track of Dev's redemption - the more is the realization of Ishwari's wrong-doings and his blind love towards her, the more he is going to regret the pain he caused Sona.
But we must understand that both of them are standalone incidents. Dev's realization of the selfishness of Ishwari has nothing to do with his insensitivity towards Sona and her family. I'm sure Ishwari, not even in her dream world would have imagined her son to be stalking, interfering in someone's life like Dev was doing. So the deeds of last few days can't be overridden with any track of Ishwari. It would make Dev look so innocent and would put all the burdens on Ishwari when it is clearly not. 🤔

I wish CV properly differentiate between the flaws of Ishwari and the flaws of Dev.

Ishwari - Over-possessiveness, emotional blackmailing, manipulative, liar and real-intention of never having Dev married, insulting Sona time and again. selfishness.

Dev - Stalking, hurting Sona for no reason, being a coward and choosing an easy way out out of weak characteristics, insulting Rithwik and interfering in his business.

Mixing things would be SO disappointing

And there goes redemption out of the window.
Wait a minute , why'd Dev need any redemption ?? He didn't do any thing wrong in the first place, right ?? He just threw her out of his life like a used piece of scrap paper , brutally n never looked back or tried to give her any hope even a ray of it for months , trampled over her job self respect , didn't give any thought whatsoever what her family her parents will go through and never , let alone try to fix the whole Ishwari issue , even consider the option unpalatable n unthinkable because his mother is his every thing.
He never fought for her, n looking by how things are shaping up he won't do it in the future as well.
But then none of this is wrong because he did it for his mom ?? So that's enough to forgive seven murders. 😲 😕 👏
And probably , going by how Sona cares a dang about her own self respect , we shouldn't bother about hers any more . She doesn't think any thing wrong was done to her , so why should we care ?? Like Ishwari , I'd also say , " To hell with her ! "

In parineeta there was a very poignant line , " A woman should give her every thing away for love . Except her self respect. " That was the entire theme of the story . But then Sona is no Lalita and this show can not be compared with a classic like Parinneta.

Not every thing is done in the name of love. Simply because life is so so much bigger n so much more than love.
This show is sending so many effed up wrong messages in the name of love stories .
In their attempt to show Devakshi as star crossed eternal lovers or whatever... they're destroying the premise of it.
Dev never reflected on his own mistakes or how he should have behaved during break up, or why he shouldn't have broken up in the first place , how he should treat Sona as important as Ishwari and if he does so , there's nothing wrong with it.
If his BIL Ranveer treats his ladli sister Neha as lesser priority than his mother , how'd he feel ??
Yet he finds nothing wrong in it, because after all he sacrificed na ! 🤪
What are these makers trying to say ?? What;s the point ??
Today's episode left me so so much disappointed . It's evident they're not all gonna bother about giving Dev a redemption arc , they're just going to shove it all under the carpet and sane viewers will be left with W*F expressions on their faces.
I think it's time to take a big long much needed break from this show . Can't take the shit any more.

I knew Sona's character is going to be destroyed here it comes 👏. At least whatever Dev is doing, it's for his family. Sona has no loyalty towards his family 👎🏼She has taken the whole Bose family for granted. 👎🏼

That's what you get when you've too much supportive and understanding family , who gives you literally free lease to become a washed down version of her former self in the name of love !

In fact they're using the traditional cheap and cheat way out by making Ishwari's character nearly irredeemable by showing her sending the match along Sona's way and eventually revealing it to Dev n show him feeling betrayed and heart broken that his mother has another side to her and may not be as Ujala white as he'd always believed and thus in the process taking the viewer's focus off Dev's own mistakes . After all all this mess is about 99 % Dev's own fault , own weakness n stunted mental growth and inability to handle relationship challenges. It's called distraction strategy.

It's quite well used trope in Indian TV shows. 🤢
It's like they show 20 episodes of ML torturing the FL endlessly , and then followed by 2 episodes of hero beating up a random guy for annoying her for the FL's honor or whatever... thus establishing him as the hero of the show and every one forgetting and forgiving him . 😕 No accountability needed ! 😕

They have already used the Shravan Kumar ploy and she has already understood him without him even trying! See today's episode. of course, do take some time to appreciate Shaheer and Erica'a fabulous acting but using their acting and the heart touching standalone scene to win us over is like Ish's pills

This is ridiculous. They could have a shown a little bit of redemption from his side but no, its sonakshi who has to be the lamb here

What's an Indian show unless n until the heroine is washed off her personality with Ujjala and made whiter than pristine white and completely unreal n unrelatable ! 😉 😆
Been there , seen it all ! About 100 times !
So much for showing some thing different. 😆
This is called selling old wine in new bottle. 😆
