I can completely feel your disgust & frustration but do save some. This character cannot be redeemed but I bet the makers will turn her into a real God... one day in the not so far future.
That day will need our collective disgust... 😆

With all the pious expressions Supriya P makes, I can just see all this cringeworthy drama culminating in 'Hail the Queen' ... Soon BUT... Not soon enuf!

I actually feel sorry for Supriya Ji, she is doing her job na? Well thing is that I can't fit another face to Ishwari so god forbid I see Supriya Ji anywhere I'll be so annoyed. Its sad how break up episode was on her birthday and people were annoyed at her character so itne wishes bhi nahi mile! But Ishwari is one witch of a lady!

Hi...firstly, very well written post, kudos. Totally agree with you on the fact that Ishwari is a brilliantly manipulative woman. All the ma beta talks now are just passive aggressive complaint sessions.

However, I don't really agree with the hereditary bit just because her mum was controlling, doesn't mean Ishwari would automatically be so...she could be influenced by watching her yes...but something like this is not always hereditary. This isn't a psychological condition like schizophrenia that could run in a family's genes...this is behaviour learnt over a period of time.

On Ishwari - i've always said...the only person who knows her, and hence who can make her see sense...is Neha.

Regarding the future of krpkab...honestly hope we are all wrong, and cvs have a plan to get back to what the show was. Else this is going to be another addition to the shows tht began well, meant well, but then lost their way in the name of trps.

Thank you very much & sorry for the delayed response...

Here's my 2 cents on what I meant by heredity (ok! not in the real sense) 😊
I assume ishwari would have married at age 20. She probably lost her husband after 10 years of marriage... By age 30, a person's basic personality has been formed, she had enough time to learn from her family/mother, build her personality by influence (family or social) and already had her Son for 8 years... The one thing she remembers is the feeling of becoming a Mother when her first child was born. Although, they lost everything but the one thing she saved was a silver glass because it had her first born's name written on it (Dev)...
This woman probably wasn't born with the controlling gene but surely with the possessive gene and her personality had shaped enuf by the time crisis hit... Her upbringing told her that Son's are placed above daughters... When crisis hit, her coping mechanism was to fall back on what she had learnt till then... So crisis just augmented her basic instinct, didn't form it...

Like you rightly said... this behavior is learnt over a period of time...and Ishwari had enuf time before crisis hit and crisis just helped her justify it...and now she continues using it to her advantage...!
From Mother to Daughter to Son now...

Neha has also seen her mother and instead of quietly emulating her, she chooses to show her the mirror...
Ishwari knows her own mother well & Neha knows hers ...
Daughters have that knack, isn't it...

About the show, they have surely earned the audience's patience and now seem to be testing it big time...
guess they are getting a wider audience that feels 'aisa hota hai. sach dikha rahein hai' and watch it for sadistic pleasure 😊

I am not even sure If they have left any reasonable space for redemption of Ishwari or Dev. Dev is behaving like a complete selfish person just like Ishwari and trying the same ways to get what he wants ignoring the emotions of the person in front. He has taken a decision due to circumstances thrown at him. But ever since he has been going down. He hasn't taken one single step to prove he was stressed then and is thinking on what he did before. He is treating Sona as a possession like Ishwari does for him. Since he cannot manipulate Sona (like himself by Ishwari), he is using all dirty ways (just like a mafia/politician with money and power) to jeopardize lives of Sona and Ritwick.

Like Mother like Son.
Mother sneakily finds groom for Sona...
Son sneakily jeopardizes Ritwik's career so Sona breaks up this alliance. Did he think Sona was with him for his money???

Yes, I completely agree, Ishwari would had been at the same level of possessive lady even If she hadn't been put through the hardships of life. What character she is showing is pure hereditary. Like mother like daughter and now like son.

What background they showed might have been an idea from AB'c movies. Struggling mother makes a tough son. But not anymore. That sympathy ship has sailed long ago.

Absolutely... I have lost my faith that there will actually be a proper redemption track...

It might be possible the cv's have been changed, for I find no substance and mere repetition of actions and dialogues now a days in the show. Oh well If in a week things don't change for Good (and I don't mean end of separation track, but Dev standing up for himself and not behave like an helpless man), I might have to rethink If I am gonna watch this show or take a short break.

Have been feeling that the scriptwriters have changed for a long time now but Durjoy Dutta is still there and seems excited about the upcoming story... that's very scary!
Majorly lost opportunity here and break is a great idea... 😊

So true. It was her birthday and her character probably received huge criticism instead...
When she is able to bring out such emotions of disgust from the audience, she is doing a fantastic job as an actor... but the script is letting her down... Big time!

Hello 🤗 Howz life?

Going good. Hope the same from you. I hope you got settled back with your work routine.🤗

Oh! No, No... I am not trying to find logic - how can I when they have so brilliantly lost it??!!?? 😆
Yaah...Logic, maturity, subtle story telling etc went on vacation, OTT melodrama is the riding horse for our show at present.😆

But I was impressed with the way Ishwari so wonderfully told Dev how she is disappointed in him on Friday. It reminded me of Dev saying 'Teri aankhon mein apne liye nirasha nahi dekh sakta'... Master stroke.
She exactly knows which string to pull to keep him under her control. She is a master player man. Never ever doubt her capability in this area. I dont know how long makers want to continue with this mom-son emotional athyachar drama. Previously, it was only annoying but now it looks disgusting.

And mama tells Dev that he's had a similar experience...
Mama ji, He is another smart player. He gives lot of gyan to Dev but when it comes to his sister he very well knows how to play smartly. There were so any occasions where he could have made her realize her mistake(for ex: After Ishwari-Bijoy scene) but he tells her not to think about his words & pampers her like a 5yr old kid. More than Ishwari, I feel main problem is with this Bhajan mandal in Ishwari niwas who are not allowing her to ponder on her mistakes. The only person who can show her mirror & throw the harsh reality on her face is Neha. Currently, they are not playing this card effectively & no hopes from any body else in that house.

And I spent long posts trying to analyse how the hard life has impacted Ishwari, her identity and why her reactions have turned so blind & ugly... 😆 ... Too funny.
Very simply, she would have been this way even if they hadn't had that glossy 70mm sad life...
I can understand. Those long long thesis & never ending discussions on your posts. We were so crazy man & those were like some brainstorming sessions. Sab kuch faltu mey...🤣🤣

Their hard hitting, strongly worded scenes don't have an impact these days... They are just there to please but seem to do nothing to the story.
Yaah...Looks like all those powerful scenes(Ishwari-Neha, Ishwari-Sona, Ishwari-Bijoy etc) were only to calm down viewers rants. There was no effect on Ishwari after these scenes & she is back to her denial mode as usual.

As for what & why each character is doing these days is so creatively brilliant that it's beyond my understanding so I hv stopped trying ...
Dont even try to understand. Its not good for our sanity. Still its amazing how you didn't give up on understanding Ishwari's character traits by trying to connect generations. 👏

But like they are going back on everything they showed before..even forgetting what they showed 2 eps back... They made me go back and look at all the analysis I did and laugh!!
So true. I dont even want to go back to my old posts & replies where i use to shower these makers & writers with never ending praises. Today, I am watching this show only for Shaheer & Erica because this show is blessed with amazing set of cast. I am not sure how long i can hold on to this thin thread because at the end content is KING.

Lost plot!!!

Btw, Voot doesn't work outside India I guess... Am trying to see KY2 on YT...
Are you able to find KY2 episodes on YT????? Previously all KY2 episodes were available on YT, Just some months back they have moved all viacom 18 shows to voot. 😡

brillliant post...i will add a few lines...
from ur post it is clear that ishwari has rhino's skin...no matter how much piercing words others say she will remain true to her hold over her son...she invested her emotions on dev and in return she expect same kind of investment from dev...no matter if her one track focus on dev has emotionally handicapped neha...

but my point is that noone not even sona saying ishwari that she has robbed dev of his love and happiness...no matter bijoy calling her uncaring mother who cant see her son's pain...no matter mamaji trying to tell her that dev will never forgive himself for leaving sona...no nothing will move ishwari...

so wat will move her...my answer is only dev...for ishwari noone matters to her (not even her daughters) except her son...if tmrw he points a finger at her and says y did u snatch away love from my life...y didnt u approve sona in my life...y cant u trust me that i will always love u in spite of being in love with anothe girl...only and only then ishwari will be bound to react...she doesnt care if the world calls her culprit but she cares if dev gvs her even one accusing look...but ishwari is shrewd enuf not to say anything to dev that will make him say that she has told him to leave sona...thatz y TM is rite that mamaji shud tell her that he has already told dev in the hospital that she does not like sona...

this is actually a mother-son world where noone else has any place...sona tried to step into this world and luk wat hapnd to her...apparently it is dev who threw her out of his life but like TM said it is the result of long term emotional manipulations of ishwari...

for all these years like ishwari dev too believed that his mom is his world...however i am glad he has proved to be a gr8 bro too unlike ishwari who failed to be a mom (let alone great mom) to her daughters...i wonder how emotionally damaged rhea and nikki wud hv been if neha did not play the role of their mother...

how ever dev being a young eligible bachelor now has fallen in love in a very natural process...and now (again in natural process) dev is acting like a person who cant live widout his love and cant think of a life widout her...but at the same time he is bound to his life long beliefs (instilled by his mom) that he is not supposed to love or share his life with anyone else other than his mom...now he is torn between these two ladies...on one hand he is reluctant to hurt his mom which is a second nature to him...no matter whether ishwari's demands r justified or not...on the other hand he cant let go of the girl who taught him the lesson of love for the first time...i mean the lesson of loving a person other than his own family...

i am actually waiting for the day wen dev's patience and unwavering loyalty toward his mom will begin to wane...it is not the task of sona or bijoy or mamaji to make ishwari see the fact of life that for parents children can be the entire world but for children parents can be only a part (albeit a very imp part) of their larger world...
for obvious reasons unlike parents their children hv to be prepared for a life widout parents...

and only dev can make ishwari realize this...noone else...

as for the backstory i totally agree with u...ishwari's possessiveness is simply hereditary...but i guess the most important reason for showing the 3 daughters is that how ishwari neglected them for dev...she was telling dev that he was most glowing diya among her all kids which is actually not rite since neha equally contributed for this family...dev was the breadearner while neha looked after home and younger sisters...widout neha ishwari cudnt hv worked so hard to earn money to educate dev...but ishwari has conveniently ignored that part...

so ishwari's logic that i invested in u since u were the brightest of all is just an excuse to justify her hold on him...but at the same time she said how she has biggest expectations from him too and his lifelong goals shud be to stick to those goals even if his dreams and happiness lie elsewhere...for ishwari it is only she (not even her daughters) who matter to herself and dev believes for him too it is she who shud matter the most and not anyone else...

i wish dev learns to break the wall that ishwari has built around him and embrace the world outside...only sona can help him to build the confidence to believe that he is a separate individual from his mom with his own set of dreams and not always his dreams shud be subjected to his mom's approval...

Will people hit me if I say that I was embarrassed by the new promo? I wondered if I was watching Satya or Bhansali's hamfest Devdas though we are apparently not seeing Devdas, as Dev himself kindly informed us in the promo.

I suppose I will be told that I should wait for the episode but I would like to say anyway that this is not what I would realistically expect a guy to do after breaking up owing to family pressures.

I know we are a long way from Ish's realisation but can we at least get a contrite and introspecting Dev instead of a Dev whose emotions post breakup were quite confusing and maddening to say the least ?Now it appears from the promo that we will get an angry Dev. Do they want to reset the clock by showing that they are both now angry with each other?

Count me in! The promo was far far away from subtlety and simplicity which have been he forte of this serial. Dev has all the masculinity in him to harass Sona and his family, interfere in their lives , dictating and controlling their lives time and again but becomes a totally spineless man when it come to his own mother. All the so-called passion that's oozing out of the promo is totally meaningless if he can't take a stand for himself in front of his own family. He can create a ruckus in Sona' family while making sure his mom is at peace at home. How ridiculous! I so hope the Dev in the engagement is the one who is there after a confrontation with his mommy dear over she having sent Ritvik' alliance to the Bose family.

Ok first! Can I pls thank you for saying what you just did!!! Well, thank you.
It's been a crazy Monday but since I read about the promo early morning, I have felt anger. This is all fiction and it's their story - whatever! But I have felt anger for being sucked into this and allowing myself to be let down!
I have a few more things to say but just as I saw your note come in, I just had to say - Am with u! 😊
Getting into a meeting but I will surely complete the rest of my thoughts ... as my day ends!
