Dev Dixit - a typical durjoy dutta 's hero

Hey everyone!

First of all , I do not wish to justify or exonerate dev of the crimes he is currently commiting nor do I wish to soothen the anger and outrage against him.

The point I would like to make here is that this is how durjoy dutta's heros have always been.

Does anyone remember randhir of sadda haq (I hope dev is not degraded to his level)? But the observation to be made here is that durjoy dutta has always been quite fascinated by heros going berserk for their lady love almost to the point of insanity.

Randhir infact broke a door , overturned the cupboard in his room and did even more maniac things for sanyukta yet never went to confess his love directly to her( though he changed later on).

So our dearest writer doesn't enjoy simple ,sorted male leads.

Rather he is impressed by convoluted , complex male characters doing extreme in love.

My second point is that even though dev's behaviour is not justifiable yet it is consistent to his current situation and certainly doesn't earn him the title of a psycho.

The centre of his universe was once his mom and now sona is also sharing a considerable portion of it , which dev owing to his former staunch loyalities is not being able to accept.

He needs to break out of the abnormal mother-son bond ishwari has trapped him into right since childhood.

His behaviour is just a manifestation of his desperate need for a support and the flaws of his own character which ironically are preventing him from cluching to that support.

It is just a phase , which is necessary for him to grow up.

Till now he himself was not improving but sona's love was compelling him to alter hos mode of behaviour and now this love is gone!

When you learn swimming, intially one is provided with supports allowing him to float with quite ease but the moment the support is taken away,the person drowns.

This does not mean that he does learn how to swim but that this skill eventually comes with time.

The same is the case with dev, makers are deliberately emphasizing on the flaws in devs character so that they are able to highlight the elimination of these vices through experiences and in course of time.

Till now improvement in dev's character was a result of sona's efforts but now it is time for him to exert his own efforts.

We will be seeing change in dev after the promise scene( because that is the time when his madnesses surpasses all its limits).

Thirdly , the show and the characters are exceptionally beautiful.

Even the current track is quite interesting and have faith in the makers of the show.

If they said that it is a mature love story, then it doesn't mean that hero and herione have to be mature right from the beginning of their journey.

If this is the case then whats the need to build a serial on it? It is love and each other's influence which will make them and their love story mature.

The show is not about a mature love story ,it is about the development and evolution of a mature live story which essentially has to undergo such phases in order to attain its impeccable form.
