His emotional outlets were Ishwari & Sona and he wont open up before anyone else easily. We cant expect any meaningful conversations about Sona between Mom-Son after the pills drama because he already shut himself with the fear of loosing her. The only person left is Sona whom he himself pushed away. Now there is no one to control his actions or tell him what is right & wrong and that is the exact reason for his craziness because there is no outlet for his pain. Unless these 2 share a peaceful & meaningful conversation this guy will go ahead like this.

guess we need to chill little bit... every time any spoiler comes we go bizarre with our thinking... we should wait for the episode to air and then decide...

cv's won't destroy any of the character especially dev and sona... this show works on dev and sona's chemistry... story is one thing but major pulling factor is the chemistry... i don't think they will go to that extent ...

we need to keep ourselves positive coz it will be a long separation ...

He was rude & unreasonable before also but he was never helpless & creepy Ruchi. I lost connect with these characters from their break-up scene onwards. Instead of addressing Ishwari's obsession(insecurities in their terms) they brought this marriage drama. Even after Sona slapped her with bitter truth on her face also there is no self-introspection from Ishwari's side. What all we see is she is sitting next to her sleeping son and saying I never thought you thinking about urself. What they want to convey with these kind of hollow dialogues? What she want now? As per her theory, He is not suppose to learn any new thing/change that is not taught by her because she cant accept change in her son.

But the way he's showing his pain is completely different. It's the exact opposite...To an extent yes it's okay...But by stretching it so far he's damaging his chances to be with Sona. Unless she understands this behavior...She shouldn't understand this behavior because that would be a realistic approach.. They just need to sit down & talk. It's that simple..They're just over complicating it for themselves. And now on the other side I think Ishwari & Bijoy's war will start...more hullabulla now!!

Okay ! This is making up for an interesting discussion.😳

Let me go through all the wonderful insights here🤗 and the rants as well😆

Dev is going grey but has his character been butchered? I don't think so. He has always been like that. Shrewd, cutting and a sharp businessman. He was the one who got Sona fired from her job, to top it he also ensured that she doesn't get a job anywhere else so that she has no other option but to join.

He is still the same, its just that this time far more emotions are involved. With a lot of intensity, specially because he is losing control of it. Inspite of knowing this, he cant do much about it.

To channelise this restlessness of seeing Sona go, what is he doing instead of stopping her (which he still can't, because Hello!Ishwari is still the same, his devotion is still the same)

He is trying to convince himself that she still loves him. This stalking etc is just his way of neglecting his own turmoil to be in the safe zone of not making decisions.

Again, like you all said, the promise of never coming back to her life will shake him, bring him to reality. Obviously, will Sona stay quiet in making him realise that he is crossing all the borders for her, yet he cant do anything to have her back?

He will be helpless.

I don't think cvs are stooping his character low, or demeaning her. . he was always like that . First impulsively taking decisions, quick worst damage repairs and then realisation and breakdown.

Just listening to Ae dil hai mushkil title track and it is about unrequited love ...the lyrics are so apt for Dev !! Cant believe what I am listening to !!! 😲

I will post the lyrics ... see for urself ... its explains the obsessive all consuming side of love !! May be we will come to terms with what Dev is feeling !!

Ruchiii...love how we think alike 🤗 I was thinking the same thing when I saw the trailer. It 's so apt for Dev...The story looks so interesting.. Looking forward to this movie..

I wish KRPKAB was a movie..😕

thank you much needed at this point... dev is not going out of his character we all are now seeing dev in different light...

even sona is pushing him away and with all this marriage promise and all she is not helping him... he is all set to go in much darker place from now on...

after drinking the promise she will take will put dev in shell... he will have nothing to look forward...

he is doing all this to get sona's attention and indirectly saying don't go...

i guess in newspaper article thing we all are thinking sona will shout at dev but on contrary i feel dev will help sona in that and clear her name from that fiasco... if at all rithwick family objects i guess he will make them understand...i have a feeling after post drinking promise we will see sacrifice as dev's new rang
