Today's episode left a lot of incomplete feelings in my head. We deserved one happy episode. The Devakshi Scene was broken into pieces which robbed its charm and I thought the last part was too rushed.
Here is how I think the episode should have gone. This is my first attempt at an OS

Dev was thrilled. Super excited. He was feeling relieved and stupid at the same time. So much heartache, so much chaos all could have been avoided if only he had listened to Sonakshi. If only he still interpreted his mother's expressions. But he failed and nearly lost both the important women of his life. Mamaji guided him just in the nick of time and he just managed to redeem himself.
After telling his mom and seeking her approval it was time to talk to Sonakshi.
He tried to call her back and then disconnected. "I know I disappointed you too. This time when I apologize I will look you in the eye".
He picked up his keys are darted towards her home. He wanted his entire trip to be a surprise. He had to rush to tell her. He knew how worried she was. Sonakshi tried calling him back. He didn't pick her call.
When he reached her place. He called her. Struggling to keep a straight face and a serious voice, he asked " Can you come out? There is something I have to share with you. You need to know this."
Sonakshi was worried. She dreaded the worst. He was angry with her. He hadn't picked her calls. As she walked out "Ki Holo. Aapne mujhe, abhi kyon", barely these words were out of her mouth he rushed towards her and lifted her. She was soaring in the sky and yet she knew he wouldn't drop her.
"Are you crazy? What's wrong with you?" "Yes I am crazy, crazy about you. You were right I am sorry. Maa was angry at me. I should have told her about us earlier. I didn't. I didn't realize what I was putting you through with your family either. I am sorry."
Sona replied "I am sorry too. I shouldn't have pushed you when you weren't ready. When we waited so long a couple more days wouldn't have mattered. Its okay Dev you can tell mom whenever you are ready. "
Dev suddenly went serious. "Do you believe me Sona." Sona said "Sorry na..." "Sorry ki zarurat nahi...Tell me do you believe me. Do you trust me?"
Sona came closer. " Yes I do". Dev's joys knew no bounds. He cupped Sona's face and blurted out "I told her Sona. I told Maa everything" and he just hugged her.
Sona was shocked. " Ki. What?? What are you saying?" She wanted to remain in his arms and yet break free and get all the answers.
" What , why didn't you say anything. What was Maa's reaction? How did you start? Did she ask ? Did you tell? What exactly did you say? " Sona said all this in one breath.
" Bas ,"said Dev and covered her mouth with his hand. "Maa is happy for me. She is happy for us. khush hai mere liye. Hamare liye. She knew about us already and she was angry with me for hiding about us from her. So she was punishing herself. But now that she knows she is happy. She expected me to tell her the first thing and when I didn't was upset. Ab sab perfect hai.. Tum maan gyi, Maa man gayi ab bas..." He said as he smiled looking at the stars.
Sona hesitated. Dev realized. He made the same mistake of not acknowledging her parents. He pushed her towards his car, making her sit on the bonnet he said. "Mera plan of action suno. Next step let's tell your parents about us. Par mein unhe kya kahunga. Should I come and tell your dad that I like you.. ya phir mein aapki beti ko pasand karta hoon. Uff. Pasand nahi. How do we go about it? Or do you want to tell them first? Should I accompany you? How will you tell your parents ? Would they want to me meet. What will I say? Sona haso mat...Mein serious hoon...
Now it was Sona's turn to grin. She was enjoying this moment. " Dev, Dev... Abhi fill haal kuch karne ki jarurat nahi. Unhe pata hai. Meine unhe bata diya hai."
Dev was shocked and surprised. What nearly caused a crisis in his house was such a matter of fact at sona's place. He was indeed lucky to be associated with such an uncomplicated family. With such simple people.
" Ab aapko jaana chahiye, Kal office nahi jaana. " Dev refused " Nahi tum baito yahin..."
"Dev, its getting late. Mein kal jaldi aaungi. Mujhe bhi toh maa se milna hai!" And reluctantly Dev left. But not before hugging her one more time. He realized he thought he nearly lost her.
At Ishwari Mansion...
" Tujhe neend nahi aa rahi Ishwari" said Mamaji as he walked into Ishwari's room.
Ishwari was still sad. Dev shared everything with her and yet she still felt empty, hollow. " Mein kya karoon bhaiyya. I want to be happy for my son. He was so happy to tell me he found the love of his life. He was looking at me intently trying to gauge if I was happy for him and yet I couldn't be.. I am sure he was disappointed. Use kitna bura laga hoga". " Tuzhe bura isliye lag raha hai kyonki tujhe use baantana padega Ishwari. You have to share him with Sonakshi. He likes a girl now. She is going to be equally important for him. It is upto you to accept both of them. Ishwari knew she was rude. She had been very rude the last couple of days and the target was Sonakshi. She had to fix this. Her son was happy. She at least had to make an attempt to be happy for him.
The Next morning
" Maa aj phir se kitchen mein..." Riya screamed. Dev was worried he thought that things were sorted out. Now what happened. Nikki also walked to the dining area and asked her siblings, " Maa aaj bhi khana banayegi kya?"
Ishwari kept a straight face. She was making kheer for Dev and Sonakshi. " Tum sab bahar raho. Koi andar nahi aayega."
Soon Sona joined them. The minute she saw Ishwari in the kitchen, her heart sank again. "Dev ... I thought you said she approved of me. She liked me too." Whispered Sona.
Ishwari quietly walked into the dining room with the bowl of kheer fed it to Dev. Dev was surprised... " Maa aaj subaha subaha Kheer. Koi khas baat. " " Haan, khush hai na tu. Isse badi kya baat ho sakti hai."
Riya and Nikki were confused. Nikki complained " Hum is ghar ke koi nahi kya... hume bhi toh koi bataye kya chal raha hai..."
Ishwari simply smiled. Sona blushed... For once Dev had no words. Mamaji was laughing seeing the scene. And Radha Rani as usual was fuming... "Yeh Bangalan". But because of Mamaji she couldn't really say anything.
Riya... suddenly saw Dev and said " Bhaiyya... aap aise kyon dekh rahe hoo... aur Sona di aap sharma rahi hain..."
Nikki suddenly screamed and faked anger when she realized the significance as Ishwari extended the second spoon of kheer to Sona. "Bhaiyya... aap aur Sona di...woow.... I knew there was a change in you, I asked you... aap ne jhoot bola... Aapko treat deni padegi..." Both the girls rushed to hug him... " Aap toh bade chupe rustom nikle bhaiyya... aap ne humein bataya nahi..."
Overnight Dev's world changed. He found his complete family. He looked at Mamaji and smiled.
Ishwari looked at her kids huddled together. She also saw Sona beaming at the happy sight. She had to be happy for her kids. She had to be happy for Dev. Yes, it was time. It was time to try and at least make one attempt.
Yes they needed a picture of the entire family but that was for another day. Today let them all just relish the moment.
