As for the accident scene, well I love to tell a story in my VMs.. most of the VM talks about how special Sona is to Dev and what she means to him. In the end of the VM, I do a quick recap of sorts of their journey from the beginning and describe Sona's uniqueness in Dev's eyes.. how she was perhaps one of the few people who could challenge him and silence him with a look, someone he grew attracted to, someone he couldn't help but find endearing and someone who managed to make a place in his life... My interpretation of the accident scene in this VM therefore, was how in that panic stricken haze, Dev subconsciously accepted for the first time that Sona meant something to him, Dev had started to fall in love with Sona before the accident and as you see his fear rush to the fore on seeing her so still and lifeless, there is an acknowledgement of sorts - You, yes you. You are important. I don't know how, I don't know when, but you mean something to me and I can't let you go. Please wake up.
