It is Dev's innermost fear that came to fore in his delirious state. He fears losing Sonakshi the most. No wonder he is not telling his mother. He subconsciously knows it is not going to be ok.

Yes , he is scared of loosing her. I think this is why he is not telling his mom, because he knows that his mom wont agree. And once his mom says no then he wont be able to continue their relationship as he can never go against her ...well at least that is what he thinks now. But my heart says he will not be able to stay away from Sonakshi for long. In this case his mom will have to give in seeing his sadness .

I like the way Dev is so integrated with Sona. perfect example of how love should be between two people, even before marriage.

people who understand each other's weaknesses, resolve it, disagree with it, live with it and yet keep the flame of love glowing have a very blessed marriage.

Dev and Sona are such a good example for so many young couples.

Agree I think that's why he is not ready to tell his mother about sona because he is scared of losing her and he wants sona himself. If he tells about sona to his mother things is not going to the same. He knows that.
