Eswari

Too partical to Dev. After all it is her favorite son. Agreed it is her poverty which made her use Neha to look after the family so that Dev can study. Still now that Dev has come up ( I do not know how old Dev is ) but they must have been doing well for quite some time now. How come she did not encourage Neha to go back to school to study to learn something to make up for the loss of education in her childhood? It is not like they are lacking in knowledge. The other children are educated. They even "work" Did the idea not come up in her mind? Why is she always tough on Neha ?

On top of that she is giving example of herself and her husband who were poor but they were very "happy" so Neha should not mind being "poor" since Ranveer will keep her "happy" why then Eswari devi would she mind telling the viewers why she suffered when her darling hubby died? did her poverty bring happiness when he died?I mean she mourned her husband but otherwise she suffered so much on top of a "one night stand" with a lorry transport owner. Why then is Dev trying to be rich so that he can provide all comforts to his family? Mind you comforts and Eswari is advising Neha to go without comforts to be Khush with her husband.
Another lady would be worried for her daughter but not Eswari devi No she is decisive . Neha would do what her hubby wants or sasural wants. unnune pyaar kiya now she will do what they want. She cannot wish for anything else. to demand things from Dev is acting spoilt. if they give expensive gifts to Neha Ranveer's self respect will be affected. Tow brillinat brains shona and Dev they think alike What an advice to viewers. wow wow..

Another thing Neha remained unducated that is why she could not get good grooms as per Dev's status.because she is from the chawl they once lived. she sacrificed her childhood was deprived of education and chance to be with children of her own age.Yet even now she is being pulled up for being spoilt and bitter. Nobody thinks of what she lost. Eswari is full of happiness for educated Dev rich Dev and she has only tough words for Neha.

Neha

She is acting spoilt all the time. She complains when the AC does not work. or so I have heard. But Neha used to stay in the poor neighbourhood without amenities not so long ago. Why does she throw tantrums for everything? Why did she not try to go back to school when their financial status improved. Meaning at least train in something pass school final join distance education improve knowledge. It took Dev to get his sister admitted in "English speaking course" I don't understand some crash English course how can that make up for years of losing school education? This English speaking course is getting on my nerves . Some crash course will only teach you very basics in English to converse. What is the use of that? There are so many women I know who do not speak a word of English but you look at them they are dressed up like top fashion models. They may be educated too in their mother tongue. They sure cannot converse in English but other than that they are quite knowledgible. It is not like they are old fashioned or anything. English is a language . That does not make up for lost education.

As for tantrums I feel she is right in some things. She was the one left out when Dev moved forward. For a kid it s a big thing. she holds the grudge all her life.so why does she not want to move forward educated herself become a person in her own right at least open a grocery shop on your own and be independant. Educate yourself. not some crash English speaking course dammit but real education which opens up the world for you. Take Dev's help and move forward.

Another thing I do not understand is why Neha is not allowed to educate herself . instead of joing some rapid english course why not join college technical institute, vocational training course something that you always wanted to do. and become a better person than a bitter person who guilt trips her own brother.

Other sisters

They are children but they are grown up too and they are normal.

Shonakshi

She is nice . Well educated beautiful principled. But according to story she is just a cook in Dev's house . Sometimes bringing juice for somone another time making stuff in the kitchen. If she is a nutritionist why does she come to Dev's house every day. She could just prescribe the diet for Eswari devi and see to the prep and then go work somewhere else. Why stay there every day do all mundane duties and errands? Sometimes she is just a cook domestic help in Dev's house. But she calls herself a nutritionist. Waste of education .

She is a nutritionist. She is in love with Dev . She is cute. But she is not that mature to "prescribe" cure for all Neha's tantrums, irritable temper and bad behaviour. Her advice and "gudiya" story to make Neha wear Ranveer's khandaani lehenga irritated me no end. Certainly she is not that mature to provide solution to all of Dev's sisters problems. Some problems were such that an outside counsellor's help is required. It is kind of unreal to show her "solving" all problems for Dev. Because she cannot . She is human after all. She has never come across the problems that Neha faced in her life. She cannot just dole out "free advice"

Dev

He is successful . Why then does he not guide Neha like he guided his other sisters? Why does he not try to understand his mother more . He gets carried away by Shona and buys saree for his mom wihout asking her to choose. He does not guide neha in the right direction.

Another thing he has to put his foot down about the presents he gives Neha. That it has nothing to do iwth Ranveer's opinion. The material things are for Neha and she has to accept them.

What property one inherits to precise a girl inherits from her parents what does that got to do with hubby's self respect?

Say a flat costs a crore and you refuse it that means you are being foolish. It is different if in laws demand dowry or the girls throws tantrums at ther parent''s hosue demading things from poor parents. Here Dev is only giving what he can afford. why refuse? In any case what does that got to do with Ranveer?

Dev why does he hide the love wit h Sonakshi? That is a big thing as far as Eswari is concerned. Dev has changed and is doing thngs which will break Eswari's trust in him.

Regarding sonakshi... If u see initial episodes she says exact same thing. She is a nutritionist and her job is to diagnoseand prescribe the diet chart. Khana khilana aspka aur appke family ka kaam hai mera nahi -- like she said it

She also said if ur mom is not listening then eother admit her and our nurses will take care or hire a maid or nurse for ur home who can do it .

But ye dev babu ko koun samjhayee ... Woh raha khadus bartameez at that time . He wnated sona yo come and feed his mom

I think sonakshis character is well built and cant find any fault in her

Neha - in my view she threw tantrums at home because her mother did not acknowledge her efforts and true like Dev pulled the family out of poverty Neha grew her two sisters up been young herself she too sacrificed so her tantrums were just to see how far Dev will tolerate her she is a pleasant person but because her mother never acknowledged her efforts she was disappointed .
grooms that came always knew she was Dev's sister while Ranveer fell in love with Neha for Neha and she knew he is poor but the love he has for her made her agree to marriage .
Neha could not speak English and whenever she tried her sisters always corrected her but but a little joke so she wanted to learn English yet she was hesitant and it was because of Dev that she started going for English classes

Dev - yes he is a successful businessmen he loves his family and always makes sure to fulfill their needs , with Neha he always tried reasoning with her but at that time she was been difficult now that she is married as a brother he feels its nothing wrong giving her expensive gifts however Ranveer does not like that Dev wants to gift them a flat he wants to be the one doing for Neha .
Dev has always confided in his mother and now he finds he can also confide in Sona there is nothing wrong from his side if he does this
he has always been there for his family but now he wants just someone for himself and that person is Sona

This is actually the biggest problem with characterization. Sona has no flaws. Every char has some idiosyncrasies, flaws or even inconsistencies. Saint Sona has no such flaws. Look closely and you might even see a halo😉😉

Making a char like Sona is as easy as eating a pie. She also gets into preaching mode at the drop off a hat. She has stories to tell for just about any situation which even a 200 year old wise individual would find difficult to compete with.

It's the other chars such as Ishwari or Neha who have flaws and it's their journey in overcoming them is what makes them interesting.

Sonas char arc is complete. Just stick a fork in it and move on to the next char.

What u r referring to are big flaws. Sona is an average girl and she makes mistakes too but she doesnt have flaws. She did not go thru tough childhood. She has a loving family that comminicates well and resolves matters. She has good education and good career. So not every characters needs a flaw. She is just an average middle class girl with good moral and family values. She is a nerd and she thinks and listens to ppl and gives advice with or with out asking . Thats is not an unbelievable character. I am pretty close to sona myself and am sure there are many more like that. Plas understan she is not mahan. She just puts things into perspective and can convince ppl what she believes in by not for ing but logically and giving examples. It is avery belivable character and an awesome one too

Sonakshi is like a girl next door. She is one of the most realistic character. It is obvious for some girls to have an inferiority complex because of her simplicity.
