Previous part: Dev invites Sona for a party along with Ishwari...

Next morning, Sona changed the dress and got one of her size. She also bought a matching pair of elegant ear rings to go with the dress. She wanted to look beautiful for Dev. The day in the Dixit house passed quietly. In the evening, Dev texted her "Will pick Maa and you up at 7 PM, waiting to see you"

Sonakshi blushed and then got ready in Nikki's room and came out. Ishwari who was standing there was pleased looking at her.

Ishwari "Arre wah beta, kitni pyaari lag rahi ho, kisi ki nazar na lage tujhe"

Sona "Thank you Auntyji."

Meanwhile, Dev arrived at 6:30 and got ready by 7. He saw Sona as he was walking down the stairs. She was looking drop dead gorgeous. Sona saw the twinkle in his eye and blushed. He came up to her and said "You are looking prettier day by day, mujhe tumhe abhi hug karna ka mann kar raha hain" Sona just blushed and said "Aap toh Dev ho, kuch bhi kar sakte ho na, hug karke dikha do." Dev looked around to make sure no one was watching, he gave a tiny peck her on the cheek and smiled and said "Wait and watch"

Just then Ishwari entered and the three of them drove to the party. As soon as they reached the venue, as they were about to enter Dev said "Miss.Bose, maine gaadi mein maa ki ek dawai chod di, aap laa denge please, hum donon andar milte hain aapse". Sona left to the car park.

In the party, Dev introduced his mother to everyone. In the meanwhile, a number of businessmen and women were eyeing Dev as a prospective groom for their daughters. This did not go unnoticed in Ishwari's eyes. Dev said to her "Ab kaisi bachun main in sab se, giving a fake worried look." Just then Sonakshi entered with the tablets. Ishwari said "Haan pichli baar toh nutrition ne bacha liya." Dev was waiting for this opportunity and said "Aaj bhi wohi bachaegi." Right then a business associate came over saying "Hello Mr.Dixit, aapse milke badi khushi hui. and meet my daughter Dipti". Dev "Hello Mr.Mehra, yeh meri Maa Mrs.Dixit, aur yeh Ms.Sonakshi." and put his arms on her shoulder. Both Sona and Ishwari were shocked. " Ms.Sonakshi ... Meri... Mmm" . Mr.Mehra got the hint and said "Oh Girlfriend hain! accha accha, nice to meet you Ms.Sonakshi" Sonakshi was too shocked to speak and just looked at Ishwari. By now Ishwari thinking that Dev was lying to save himself smiled and gave an expression which literally meant "thoda adjust karlo Sona beta". After Mr.Mehra left Ishwari laughed and said "Dev, tu bhi na, dekho nutrition kitni dar gayi hain. Sona, tum bura mat mano, ye bas sabse bachna chahta hain." Sona was still speechless. Dev smiled and said "Haan maa, mere paas koi aur chaara nahin tha."

Sona was now thinking of Dev's shrewdness and blushing. He suddenly held her hand saying "Arre dekho Mr.Agarwal aa rahe hain. Please bura mat maaniye Miss.Bose" Sona was too embarrassed and she just turned a deep red. Ishwari just smiled.

Using this as an excuse, Dev held Sona's hand all the time. Ishwari went to have dinner early. She did not disturb Dev and Sona since they seemed to be talking to some important people. At the dinner table Ishwari started speaking to another lady who was asking her about her difficult past and Dev's life. So Ishwari was quite pleased to talk about her son to anyone.

Meanwhile, Dev and Sona were enjoying this time, holding hands, their fingers entwined in each other. Since Ishwari was not there, Dev placed his hands over Sonakshi's waist. She felt butterflies in her stomach and blushed until her cheeks turned crimson.

Dev "Dekha, maine kaha tha na, I can do anything to be with you."

Sona "Dev, aap bahut zyaada chalu ho, I can't believe this."

Dev "Ab toh koi disturb nahin kar raha hain mujhe."

Just then a business partner walked in and saw Dev and Sona hand in hand and said "Sir, M'am, aap donon saat mein bade pyaare lag rahe hain. You make a great couple." They both looked at each other, smiled and blushed a little.

After a while, Ishwari came to them and said "Dev, main khade khade thak rahi hun, main ghar chali jaati hun, agar tujhe theek lage toh." Sona "Auntyji toh chaliye sab chalte hain." Dev: " Haan maa chaliye." Ishwari: "Nahin beta, tum donon ne toh kuch khaya bhi nahin, main driver ke saat chali jaungi, tum log ye pirsentashun (presentation) hone ke baad khake aa jaana. Aur Dev, nutrition ko ghar tak pahuncha dena, bahut der mat karna tu.."

Dev "Ji maa, apki nutrition ko safely pahunchadunga" said smiling.

Dev called his driver and asked him to take Ishwari home and bring the car back. Ishwari left smiling.
