Hello fellow DevAkshiansđ.Look whose here, Arey its me.Back with yet another os for DevAkshi.As you all.know i don't always do happy endings so bear me with it.You have been warned.
Don't Cry
Sona stood near the glass window, staring at little garden that she and Dev had established and maintained.A photo frame clutched in her hand, she looked at it.A happy picture of Dev in his Army uniform imprinted on it.Its been whole 6 months since she had last seen him and a whole day since he called her.Her mind roamed any and everywhere.Buzzing sound of her phone caught her attention and she rushed to pick it up.
"Dev"
She rasped in.
" Its Ajay,Ma'am"
Ajay ,bestfriend and junior of Dev Chuckled.
"Is everything fine??"
Sona cannot help but ask.She was already quite restless
"Actually Dev Sir is missing your salads and karela juice"
Ajay laughed out loud causing Sona to laugh as well.
"Ajay ,give me the damn phone"
Dev's gruff voice spoke.She guessed that Ajay was again teasing Dev
"Sona"
Dev breathed in, finally having the phone in his hand.All his pent up emotions flowed through that one word.Sona's mind finally came to a state of peace.
"Hmm,"
Sona teased him by not taking his name.Dev chuckled at her antiques
"Sona,please"
Dev begged her.She laughed at him and said
"Yes,Dev"
"Finally Mrs.Dixit had said my name"
"How long is your mission"
She asked him seriously.
"Just a few more days and I will be home"
He shrugged off and casually replied.He cannot tell her that he was on the most dangerous mission of his life, they have been attacked.
"Achha, I'll call you later.Sir is calling me"
Sona looked around the house, hundreds of pictures of Dev and hers adorning it.

Sona was in her clinic , her day was relatively free.She stared at his picture that rested on her desk.A weird feeling was creeping up her stomach, anxiousness evident in her features.
Flashback
Sona stood near the font door, Dev was lodging up his luggage in his jeep.
"Don't cry after i go"
Dev warned her softly.
"I won't"
Sona whispered with a fake smile.
"I am going and you are giving me your karela like fake
smile"
He teased her, just to get a full blown smile from her.She smiled at him and said
"Happy now"
Sona has successfully accepted the fact that for him.his nation comes first,it will always be his first priority, not that she was complaining but she was literally proud on him.It always gave her immense proud to say that she is Major Dev.Dixit's wife.
"Very happy"
He came forward and kissed her forehead
"Will be back soon"
She was woken up from her memories by the buzzing sound of her phone.
"Dev"
"Its Ajay, ma'am"
Ajay's frantic voice came in.
"Again teasing Dev"
She chuckled at him.
"Ma'am we have been attacked and Sir has faced major of it.Talk to him"
He cried handling phone to dev.Dev was covered in blood.He removed his oxygen mask and took phone from Ajay.
"Sona"
He barely breathed in.A lone tear escaped from her eyes.She was unable to speak a word.
"Won't you talk to me"
Dev asked, his eyes drooping.
"I will off course i will."
She wheezed in.
"You know what i was thinking about"
Dev asked her, puzzling her.His heart rate dropping rapidly.
"What??"
She asked full of curiosity.
"Karela"
Dev joked in.
"Dev"
She said a warning tone underneath it and laughed at his pathetic joke.
"Keep smiling Sona and don't shed a tear for me when i an gone"
He rasped out, unable to speak properly.Sona sensed that
"Dev, please put on ur mask"
she requested him ,concern lacing her voice.
"It doesn't matter, I want to talk to you"
He whispered.
"We will.When you come home.pakka"
She assured him,her eyes became glossy.
"Don't cry for me.I love you
He uttered softly and an breaking and unbearable silence followed it.
"I won't"
She barely whispered to herself, her throat felt dry and constricted.Eyes moist with unshed tears.
"Love you too"
