Part 3

*Thud!*

Sonakshi was brought back to reality by the sound of something falling on the balcony. She went over to see what had happened. What she saw left her speechless. Dev laid on her balcony, his tall body filling the whole space, leaving no place for the pots of flowers that stood in the corner. His blazer hanging halfway off his shoulder, his hair ruffled. He was wearing a orange shirt she noticed, her eyes attracted towards his chest, where two of the buttons from his shirt were left unbuttoned.

She stood there unsure of what to do, unsure of what was going on. Why was he here? What was he up to? Was he really there?

"I'm I dreaming?" She asked herself. Unable to open the door. Then they made eye contact and his gaze pierced her soul once again, keeping her captive under his spell.

Sonakshi closed the curtains unable to handle the heat inside of her. The sadness and joy that seemed to overwhelm her at the same time. She leaned onto the wall, her knees trembling, her palms were sweaty against her thighs. A single tear dropped from her eyes, just a small indicator of the tornado that was threatening to destroy every inch of her being.

*knock knock*

She stood still unable to move, her legs glues to the ground she stood on.

*Knock knock*

"Miss Bose"

Sonakshi broke down, as the reality of the situations dawned on her. She could no longer stand strait, her knees gave in and she fell to the floor, tears now streaming down her face like raindrops in a storm. The feeling of loneliness and disappointment rushing through her once again for the hundredth time. She wept deeply for the first time since the break-up, breaking the promise she had made to Dev.

"Sona" She heard his voice calling her once more. It was sweet and like a cooling balm to her burning soul. Gave her a ray of hope, like the first rain after a hot summer. She took a long step towards the door and opened it.

There he stood looking perfect as ever, her prince charming. She stared at him as to make sure that everything was okay, that he was okay. She stared at him, noticing now how dull his face seemed now, how every inch of him was trying to tell her something.

Time stood still as they gazed at each other, him looking for signs of the Sonakshi he knew, her trying to hide it. Then with one big step he took her into a tight hug, threatening to crush her every bone, breaking her apart, but also putting her back together. He cupped her face with his hands and started kissing her all over her face, first her eyes, then her cheeks, moving to her nose. He stopped at her lips and stared in her eyes as a single tear fell on her face, his eyes covered in tears. He took her into a hug again and they stood there, together, their hearts beating at the same time.

" I got your message." He said, subering her from the passion that consumed them both. Pulling her back to reality, to the fact that he had chosen to end their relationship.

Sonakshi pushed him away, remembering the last time they had spoken together.
